After that everyone got their own PCs and started playing from home, then WoW and ye....I recently found a very good Romanian or Polish (not sure) server on Season 6 and started playing it again out of nostalgia. The best MMO for busy people - on the newer versions they integrated an in-game AFK system and you are basically forced to stay afk :D I luv it. Damn, the nostalgia! It's been like what, 13 or 14 years since i last played Mu.
The pvp in this game was exquisite for the time. The fact that you could just bully people at higher levels and camp noobs for no reason was really fun lol. Also unlocking those abilities and new spells was fun as well as the partying, leechers and economy. That dark knight stab into the twisty move explosion was always cool when you broke their armor with it and launched them into the death animation :D with the perfect excellent +13 armors that glowed brighter than a supernova. You eventually just spec everything to ignore armor and you would one shot everything in pvp

Played the MU beta, as Manifesto. Had a high level character and great gear but had account hacked an everything stolen so my bro and I quit. Enjoyed it while it lasted.
I remember playing in 6 different private servers at the same time because it was really common the servers to crash or be offline back then and when one got disconnected I logged on to another :D Anyways, tried the new Mu Online also and it just isn't the same - original MU had cool and DIFFERENT looking armor, weapons, the glowing thing if the item was +7, +11 etc.. the excellent glow. The maps were very diverse with very unique looking mobs. The new MU has none of that.
Just when I think "the video is almost over, yet you haven't explained the Chaos Machine, which is one of the greatest things in this game", you suddenly go smth like "jewels of life are used for improving gear above +9", what the hell, man XD I think you were too small a kid, so you didn't learn about some basic game mechanics back then, even after playing for a long time. (btw JoL was for improving "option" on items, and CM was for improving items to +10, +11 (in way later seasons even +13 and +15 AFAIK)). But you were right when explaining how objectively crappy the game was, yet absolutely awesome during that time :) So many more classic aspects you didn't touch upon, but, whatever, nice vid :)

It's the same as WoW - the fun starts at high levels and actually the private servers on really old versions are the best. It's hella fun playing on a server with good GM management - they constantly interact with the players and create events almost daily. That's where all fun comes from. Look at Lorencia in the video - it is alienated af.
It doesn't really matter whether you had fun or not, it's the same principle. Hell of a grind until max level and you can't really do anything that matters until then - neither raids nor arena. If you had fun while leveling - lore wise or just exploring the world - fine! So did I and so did I in Mu for that matter :) Of course, leveling in WoW is nothing alike in Mu, but it's still a grind and doing max level stuff is immensely more fun than leveling - as in Mu. It's a piece of S-H-I-T, they take out the whole pk system (Because you know, kids nowadays are a bunch of pussys), the wizard looks like a fucking transexual apache helicopter, they only had to do a modern version of this game with cool graphics and a few additions but no, they fucked up big time.
