When my little brother first got his truck, he was so excited to take me for a ride. He played this song and said, “Remember showing me this when I was a kid?” We blasted the song all the way home. I had actually forgotten about the song before he showed me again. Now it’s a daily listen, except now I have that happy memory tied to it. Love this song so much 💗

Both Shaun and Amy were in a relationship when broken was released, Amy left him due to his drinking problem (he's sober now, which is great!) So then she wrote "call me when you're sober", and then Shaun wrote this song.

I gave birth to my precious little girl a week ago and her dad has not been around. He's a narcissist and he has to try to paint me as the villain. He's trying to tell everybody that I waited till I was 4 months pregnant to tell him. That is not the truth. I ended our relationship before I found out I was pregnant because he's extremely controlling and he was just being an asshole to me in general. I'm sorry to talk about this here but I just need to get it out of my system. He was absent for pretty much my entire pregnancy. He tried to get me to come back to him when I was pregnant and I told him no. He disappeared but that's okay. I'm not the one that's going to have to explain to her and 18 years so I wasn't around. This is pretty much all I have to say to him now.
