  • Part 2/3. July 15-August 31 2023 I solo-hiked the GR11 Transpireneica west to east with my trusty #Tarptent Notch Li. 950km, 48,000m of ascent. And a few adventures. Enjoy!

Hola Jimi. 💪
    Agur!

I was wondering if you have walked the GR10 as well? How would you compare it with the GR11. I'm travelling from Australia and will hike either but can't decide which. GR11 definitely looks less crowded and wilder.

Cheers for the comments. I haven't walked the GR10. I opted for the GR11 because I think it's a bit more physically challenging, rugged, peaks are higher, and you tend to get better weather on the southern side of the pyrenees. Also my Spanish is better than my French! But GR10 must be amazing too. Have fun whatever you choose!

@@jimishikes Seems to be less people on the GR11 as well. Appears crowded in some sections July-August.

Ps. I'll be going age 57. Been waiting over 30 years to do it. I worked a ski season in Arinsal in 92' and promised to come back to traverse the Pyrenees one day.

@@tommyslavic898 57 is a good age! I'm hoping to still be out in the mountains when I get there. Crowds are definitely not a problem on the gr11. There are a couple of touristy spots you go through but by and large it's quiet out on the trail
