Great reaction! There are some great suggestions for other Stevie Ray Vaughan (sounds like lawn) songs. I'm throwing in Tin Pan Alley with Johnny Copeland.
I’m happy you chose this song, as this was one of Stevie’s best. He fed that guitar his life and soul into his music. As a new guitarist at the ripe age of 52, SRV is a definite favourite of my home to listen to. Stevie was known to use gauge 13 strings along with frets from a bass on his guitar neck, just from how strong his fingers were. To give you some perspective, that lovely guitar you have on the wall over your left shoulder should have gauge 9 strings stock. Give a few notes or chords on the neck. After doing those for like say 25 times, your fingers will start getting achy and tired. Now try bending a single note, up and into the 2 strings above the one your hitting. Do that for 1000’s of times. Your fingers should be in agony. Stevie played those notes so hard on those strings, he would end up gluing the callouses back on his fingertips with superglue just to keep going. Stevie played with 13 gauge, and would BEND them up into the above 2 or 3 strings above that. Trying that with 9’s is hard enough. Try that with 13 gauge and you’ll swear those strings were steel cables. They usually don’t bend that far, but again, this is Stevie playing. Give the guitar a try behind you. I use Rocksmith on Xbox1 and PC on my MacBook Pro. I can already play, Last Dance with Mary Jane, Gimmee Shelter, Refugee, Blue Collar Man, and learning a few others. Cheers mate, and have FUN with these reactions. Gryphon 1 Corinthians 15:1-4
It's been said. Frets glowed from the heat of Stevies fingers. Bending notes that only Stevie knew were they were going too. The epitome of a guitar player that listened to the note in his head, and had it shaped and arranged before it ever reached his finger. People hearing gunshots be the mere snap of his fingers. Power and control unmatched.
Kevin Cooper that’s one my favourite SRV videos to watch. He looks like he just rolled out of bed, hungover to beat all hell, then he fires up and let’s all out on that guitar
Vaughan is pronounced "Von", btw. This song was written by Jimi Hendrix and this version is known as Voodoo Child Slight Return. R.I.P. Jimi and Stevie.
You see Stevie drop the guitar pick TWICE and didn't miss a beat after he picked them up! Photographed a lot of celebs in my 40+ year career. This photo session in my studio was the best! Love your intro. Keep up the good vibes...
Never gets away from Jimmy's original and yet he puts his own style in there at the same time and never misses a Beat you really need to see him play behind his back
STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST in my opinion anyway, man you need to check out more of him!!! His TIN PAN ALLEY with JOHNNY COPELAND is a PURE MUSICAL BLUES DELIGHT,💜💜💜💜💜
And... he couldn't read a note. He tried to learn, but gave up and just... played from his heart and soul. But he could listen to a song one time and play it lick for lick. He died 20 miles from where I live and I cried like a baby. He was the greatest blues guitarist of all time. BB King even said Stevie Ray Vaughn (pronounce Vawn) was the blackest white man he ever met. RIP Stevie.
My friends, I'm Lily white as they come.. but I've always enjoyed the black man's blues.. It's evident that brother Stevie did too.. We going through some times I'm sorry about.. I'm glad I play the guitar... I’ve subbed and hit the notification bell, I’ll be the first to watch it
Were waiting.
@@TheSarahbeach100 yes m8, still
The way how you play his guitar is incredible
Hey cat
@@TakablePond how are you doing bro
@@undergroundhip-hopreaction4731 great
Yes and thanks for watching our videos... peace and love to you
The cool thing about watching SRV reaction video's is that you never get tired of listening to the same song over and over :-)
I think i read somewhere that they asked BB King one time if he was the best to ever play a guitar and he said...Nope SRV is!!
That guitar ain’t crying it’s screaming in ecstasy! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
“I’ll see you in the next one, don’t be late.”
SRV 🎸🐐
I wish to live as pure a life as I can so I can go to heaven and listen to Stevie and Jimi jamming together.
I seen that guitar in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland I could still feel the magic coming off them strings
I was right there wit cha bruh! I'm a Texas boy and I can't tell you how many times I've listened to this and the very way that you were listening to this I am the same way. Lol! SRV will straight take you there!!!!
Yes... i was stuck and speechless 🙊.....lol wow 👏 thanks for watching and your comment 😀 peace ✌

SRV had a big glass of iced tea after that. He gave the guitar a beer! RIP SRV
Check out SRV doing his sound check! Holy crap! You will be so impressed.
Kevin Cooper that’s one my favourite SRV videos to watch. He looks like he just rolled out of bed, hungover to beat all hell, then he fires up and let’s all out on that guitar
That was a pretty hot beat at the beginning. A bit long, but I didn't get bored of it. Also, SRV is a god of rock and blues.
That guitar will give you beautiful sound and splinters.
Vaughan is pronounced "Von", btw. This song was written by Jimi Hendrix and this version is known as Voodoo Child Slight Return. R.I.P. Jimi and Stevie.
There's more than one vid where a string breaks and a guitar swap happens and a lick isn't missed.
RIP to the GOAT! His guitars begged him for mercy!
You see Stevie drop the guitar pick TWICE and didn't miss a beat after he picked them up! Photographed a lot of celebs in my 40+ year career. This photo session in my studio was the best! Love your intro. Keep up the good vibes...
Should check out Texas Flood next.
I heard u say make it look easy. Watch the Nashville voodoo child. He plays it behind his back
"it's old, it's torn and frayed, it's seen much better days, but as long as the guitar plays, it'll steal your heart away"
-Jagger and Richards
Never gets away from Jimmy's original and yet he puts his own style in there at the same time and never misses a Beat you really need to see him play behind his back
It's amazing how Stevie can bring out that "Stank Face" out of anyone who listens to his music.
Another 10k SRV fans are born every time a reaction video is made.
my man you have been formally introduced to the best there ever was
and best there ever will be!!!! SRV
I've heard this a zillion times and still believe this unbelievable 🎵🎶🎵🎶
Many Many Great Artist through out the years...
Stevie is different
Heart and Soul
This guys energy is everything
Thanks so so much and thanks for watching... peace and love peace ☮
Stevie didn’t play guitar. He took it from behind and had his way with it.
STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST in my opinion anyway, man you need to check out more of him!!! His TIN PAN ALLEY with JOHNNY COPELAND is a PURE MUSICAL BLUES DELIGHT,💜💜💜💜💜
Can you imagine Stevie Ray & Jimi Hendrix playing together?
Chris "whipper" Layton on the drums and Tommy Shannon on the bass, I'm S.R.V. Thank you so very much.
And... he couldn't read a note. RIP Stevie.
I was driving in my car and heard over the radio that his helicopter had crashed and he died, he was the greatest.
Wow I did not know this at all.... man RIP 🙏 TO HIM.... TYE GOAT 🐐
My friends, I'm Lily white as they come.. but I've always enjoyed the black man's blues.. It's evident that brother Stevie did too.. We going through some times I'm sorry about.. I'm glad I play the guitar... I heard about brother Stevie's death when I was deployed for the Gulf war ,to an island in the Indian Ocean, I was working grave shift but stayed up all the next day listening to his music thinking about him... I also saw him twice in 1980"s
R.I.P. Stevie! Best guitarist Ever!!!!

More SRV. Thank you for reacting to one of the all time greats.
Ok cool i am looking for more now... thanks for watching and your request 😊.... 🙏
SRV could make a guitar do everything but bring you breakfast in the morning!
Wow, That was Superb, Can't get better than that!, Thank You!
Hey Angela Trump
Yes this one very good ... thanks for watching
He killed it every time all the time.
*Vaughan is pronounced Vawn. Rhymes with pawn. Stevie Ray Vaughan, the Legendary Blues Guitar Master from Austin, Texas.*
Loved when he'd go and play with Albert King.
Yeah that's one of my favs. You see the whole uncut session here on youtube
Players play. Stevie played with Albert King, Albert Collins, Dick Dale, all the greats.
Yeah but King and Stevie had a special relationship. Albert King on more than one occasion referred to him as his son. "He's the only white boy with a black daddy."
When bb King says I think he's got some black in him... you know he's got the soul/blues in him. Big compliment.
