TOXIC. We need to stop telling our young women that when a boy picks on her, that they "like her". This leads to a lot of women thinking/accepting toxic and demeaning interactions with men and mistaking it for affection. Even if a boy "likes you"... then they can learn to treat you with respect

Exactly I would not even cared if he changed. He called her trash, belittled her, and made her feel bad. His friends warned her to be nicer to her. If I was her, I wouldn't even date him. Acting toxic isn't cute or attractive even if they changed I wouldn't give them a chance.

If a young man doesn't know that bullying, belittling and sexually assaulting someone is wrong by that age ...... they will always have the tendency to behave that way when things don't go as they would wish.

There is NOTHING romantic about this at all, He is a horrible person and making him out to be a great guy is so wrong, He is abusive, mean and basically a jerk. Shows like this convince young girls that guys who treat them like dirt really like them and will eventually be nice. This kind of story line happens FAR too often and needs to stop!
I assume this is an anime adaptation or an anime inspired film, where the bully hot guy deep down is actually a nice lad, but sometimes it's important to let the nice guy get the girl. The filmmakers are just rewarding shitty behaviour.
