I get so excited when people discover Key-or any SHINee member-for the first time! He is seriously so incredibly talented and can do it all. Please continue to check out more of his solo work! I recommend the MV’s for Good and Great, Killer, Bad Love, and Hate That (collaboration with Taeyeon) as a start. Enjoy!!!
Key (Kim Kibum) is a member of this legendary group called Shinee (read: shiny). Each of them has solo works. Key here is amazing. He never fails with his albums. Thank u for reaction.
Key (Kim Kibum) has been in the industry for more than 16 years as part of the legendary 5-member Kpop group SHINee under SM Entertainment, and he has been a solo artist since 2018. "Pleasure Shop" is his title track on his third mini Korean solo album. Key is a main vocalist, lead rapper and lead dancer of SHINee. Because he's a member of SHINee, this means he can do it all. SHINee are known for the fact that there are no longer any fixed roles in their group, the main vocalists can rap and the rappers can fill in as main vocalists at any moment. Although, what they are really recognized for is the fact that they are one of the best vocal groups to ever exist. All of the SHINee members are top tier singers and dancers. Everything you see and hear with "Pleasure Shop" has Key's signature stamp on it. From his outfits to the backup dancers looks, to the set design and story concept, as well as the song lyrics, and the whole album -- including the album packaging -- was designed or chosen by him. Key is involved in the entire creative process when it comes to his solo work and everything you see and hear is what he envisioned for this entire album/repackage concept. Every aspect is all part of his design. Key is our fashionista of the group, who is SHINee's designer for a lot of their MVs and stage outfits. He has even been given the official title as SM's Director of Fashion, and he is often consulted on fashion trends when it comes to SM projects. He has gained a reputation for his fashion, so he is involved in all aspects of the styling for everything he does these days. :D And because Key was involved in creating the storyline for his MV, he was also involved in the whole look and feel, including clothing choices and costume design. When people say, "there is no one or nothing out there like it," they are right. Key is 100% that artist. A legend on par with Taemin's legendary concepts and styles. No wonder they are both members of SHINee. (FYI: SHINee is pronounced like shiny, as in shiny diamonds or shiny stars -- their name means "the ones who receive light" -- spelled with a double e to emphasize how brilliantly they shine(e). :D) SHINee are known for having some of the best singers in all of Kpop. If you were to listen to Key singing acapella while performing this intense choreograph for "Pleasure Shop", he would sound just as flawless as in the MV. That is why, even as rookies, senior artists would stop what they were doing to watch SHINee's rehearsals on music programs because SHINee's vocal talent is that impressive and nobody was performing the way SHINee was doing it. When SHINee debuted in 2008, all the members were teenagers -- Key was only 16 -- and they were one of the youngest groups at the time. However, even then, they were shocking everyone with their talent. SHINee was the first group to demonstrate how it was possible to sing live while performing intense choreography and still maintain stable vocals. Before SHINee, the thought within the industry was that it wasn't possible to sing live and also perform high intensity choreography at the same time. At that time, most groups would either sing live and have simple choreography, or they would have crazy cool choreography but lip sync to their recorded vocals. SHINee was the group that changed the industry and proved that if you wanted to compete you needed to up your game. And although, as a member of SHINee, Key is considered one of the top vocalists in the industry, he is also a lead rapper. So he can literally do it all. Key is also considered SHINee's dance copy machine. He has the ability to see and remember choreography the fastest in the group. He has a photographic memory when it comes to choreography, so he only needs to watch the dance once and he has it memorized. He is an unbelievably skilled dancer, who can take any dance and make it his own. And on top of all that, he is SHINee's fluent English speaker, and he is almost as good as a native speaker. He is one of the best non-native English speakers in Kpop. In middle school he studied for a short time in Australia and New York, and he said his grandma had an English tutor when he was growing up, so he is fluent in western culture. SHINee are always on another level and they are constantly outdoing themselves with every new project. It amazes me that after more than 16 years, SHINee can still continue to reinvent the Kpop industry with every new release, whether it's as a group project or one of the member's solos, and yet they do it every time without fail. SHINee are the originators and trendsetters of everything you see Kpop groups doing today. SHINee where designed to be SM Entertainment's experimental boy group, so everything they do is meant to be the first and they are expected to create the trend. With every new song and dance SHINee produces it's expected to be different than the last, so you will never see the exact same style or sound from them in any of their songs or dances. Nothing you hear from them or the members' solos will ever be exactly like anything you have ever seen or heard before, and yet it will be very much "their style." The members of SHINee raise the bar even higher with every performance. And that's what makes them SHINee. :D Now you have to check out Key's dance practice for "Pleasure Shop." There's a reason why everyone in the industry lines up to do dance challenges with Key whenever anyone has a comeback. LOL If you enjoyed "Pleasure shop" just wait until you hear his other solo songs. Including all his albums and repackages, this is Key's 7th solo album. There is a lot more to check out from him, as well as more than 14 full length SHINee albums, numerous mini albums and hundreds of concert performances within 6 world tours so far -- with 16 years of content to catch up on, you have a lot more to explore. ;)
His previous music video called Good and Great is like an anthem for all workers. It's a song that hypes you up for when you go to work. Sounds crazy but it's true. All his music is very uplifting and about telling yourself you are great as you are, you are loved, chase your happiness, chase your dreams. Just everything he has is to uplift yourself. He also cowrote this song and writes alot of his songs.
0:14 Kpop, and Key is from a group called SHINee they have a lot of good music/ ballads There’s Replay ( there debut song which was released in 2008) Lucifer Atlantis Married to the music Juice Good evening Ballads: Sleepless nights Quasimodo Symptoms Honesty The reason ect
Let me tell you SM does not give Key a good budget. Often he puts his own money to have the video quality. He will do variety shows and concerts to cove the costs in his comebacks. Whether it is putting money into his video, wardrobe, or album design. He has some detailed and unique albums. Sm has used alot of his ideas in recent album covers in recent years.
