    Classical music that has some connection to the sea
    0:00 Kimsky Korsakov - Scheherazade: Mvt.1 The sea and Sindbad's ship
    Huge waves crashing against the ship are evoked through the music. This depiction of the ocean is one of movement and impressivness. One can clearly hear the rolling of the waves throughout the length of the piece.
    10:13 Chopin - Etude Op.25 No.12 "Ocean"
    Although the nickname was not given by the composer, the arpeggios jumping up and down the piano create vivid pictures of waves in the ocean. Here waves are once again depicted as immence and powerful.

    This piece refers to the nymph of the mediteranian sea

    Much more peaceful and delicate impresion of the waves in the sea

    This piece follows a popular baroque trend of depicting storms musically. It is labeled tempesta di mare.

    This is a transcripiton of Schuber's Lied based on a poem by Friedrich Leopold zu Stolberg-Stolberg. Although no reference to the ocean is made, evokations of water ripples who increase in magnitude as the tension builds leaves the listener with vivid imagery of the ocean at night time.

    A beautiful dialog between the wind and the see. Debussy said that the the work illustrates "the seascapes available in painting and literature".

    The final movement from lelio symphony, it is based off shakespears the tempest, connecting the work to the sea.

    This is so good! I was never a fan of classical music, but off late I'm actually starting to enjoy it! :D
