i almost fell for this and ALMOST lost my frost dragon. i used an alt account because i was suspicious of the person and they kept asking me to make sure we (me and my alt) weren’t in the same room and then i realized why. it was a fake account. the trade that was sent to me accepted and i realized it wasn’t from my end so i just left and blocked the person. it’s really scary and sadly not many people know about this scam because it seems so real
Just use Friends only thats its absolute Win if thats happen lol, i almost scam my evil uni thats happen.

Also, majority of experienced adopt me players who have giraffes have at least been playing for 3-5 years. Let’s say they started playing when they were 7. That means they’re 12. That’s a perfectly okay age to play an online game. I don’t see the problem.
Before you come at me with your classic insult of “haha lol little kid you are probably younger than me 🤪😜😝”, I’m a teenager in the age range of 15-18 and therefore likely older than you compared to the age of an average adopt me player.
This scam has been active for a while I have ran into tons of people who do this scam be careful.
There is a way to outsmart the scammer you can get a alt account and pretend that’s your friend so the scammer doesn’t tell the difference. Try to make it as believable you can that that alt account is a real person.

Yeah me and my best friend fell for this the guy said for her to give me her mega bat dragon and show it in trade she did that then his alt traded me it had the same exact user as her and I gave the mega bat dragon to his alt

This happened to my sister before we even knew it was a scam. Someone said they would give her a free shadow dragon and she didn’t believe them but she still wanted to see if they were Fr. She told me to join and the whole entire time we were sitting next to each other. They then told my sister to join the private server and while I was joining they made the user almost identical to my sisters. They then told me to move to a different room. So I went afk for about 1 minute then said I moved into my room. But the whole time i was in the same room as my sister. Then my sister traded me her parrot and the person kept asking over and over again if I would give it back and not to scam my sister then finally he was like “ok trade the parrot back to ur sis. Don’t scam” and then the fake account traded me trying to get the parrot but I started shaking bc I didn’t want my sister to get scammed. My gut then made me ask “is this u?” My sister then said “no that’s not me” and we both started shaking like crazy tbh. And I declined the trade request then left the game. The rest of the night me and my sister were shaking even tho it was over.
I’ll never fall for a scam like that again.

Also a thing you can do with these scammers is you can use a alt acc (if you know how to) and ur main at the same time make sure that you sent the trade request to ur main and not the scammers alt trade over any rare pet then trade it back over to ur main again they will see you have done this and leave the game or ask them to join YOUR PRIV SERVER so NO ONE ELSE CAN JOIN this has happened to me before and if you dont do it the way the scammer wants they will leave (i didnt get scammed but if you do use a alt make sure it cant be copied)

Thank you for warning us about this new scam, so I have a story I am grinning buying a danger egg then when I saw a lot of multiples that were barely identical usernames I am an the public server that has like 13 accounts at the same time the avatar is bacon if I am being honest I just ignore that and just keep grinning but when I see the houses all of it has a tiny home and unlocked except only one home is lock and has the same log in streak on day 12 I didn't take a screenshot of it but it felt like I have joined to them like a few days ago or few times I just ignore all of it but at the same time now it bothers me that adopt me just ignoring this problem because if they didn't fix this soon they also have a chance that they can enter to the code in the actual game, this scam is somewhat similar so why not tell the story here since I have no friends to relate to tell about it even adopt me ignoring me TT if you read till the end thank you if you don't believe me find it yourself on the server that has a lot of bacon and almost same identical username and has same log in streak

This scam is very unrealistic and you likely came up with this. This is impossible to actually happen in game because the scammer does not know you and would therefore not know your best friend. They would need to create an account BEFORE joining the game, in which they would be completely unaware of the username your friend has. Can’t believe more people aren’t using simple logic to realize this.

To change your username, you would have to pay 1000 robux. NOBODY is going to pay 1000 robux for a scam, also, even if they had roblox on the same account in another tab, would their changed username immediately show up in game? Probably not. I don’t even have robux anymore nor can I afford it with my own money so obviously I wouldn’t even be able to try this if I wanted to. You can only change display name easily and when you trade people you don’t see their display names, you see their usernames.
This scam doesn’t exist. Stay mad, fangirl/fanboy. Y’all would support these guys until no end and don’t understand they’re just doing this stuff for clout.

Make an alt to show that its your brother/sister and try making the most common usernames.

That might be why you have to look at the verified friend symbol next to your friend’s username sometimes in trade…….
