- In this video, I install a Eurowise off road rear bumper on my 2004 Porsche Cayenne. Eurowise makes all the good stuff to add to your Porsche Cayenne, your VW Toureg, your Audi Q7, plus a lot of other cool cars/trucks that get even cooler when you modify them. Be sure to check out their website...

so how exactly will WD40 make things rust faster? I know its not a lubricant or penetrating oil but I don't think wd40 would ever make something rust faster than not having been there.
I may have been spreading misinformation! I just spent way too much time googling this late at night instead of sleeping, but yeah the gist of my point was that penetrating oil is better for breaking loose rusty threads. As WD40 cleans a part of rust, it can also clean it of any previously applied lubricants and leaving itself behind as a film. If a part like a garage door hinge is designed to have a heavy lube coating and you replace it with a light lube coating like WD40, it can rust sooner than if it was coated in the proper heavy lube, especially in high humidity environments like here in Mississippi (Guess what industry I’m in 😬). But in the case of these bolts that are not intended to always be coated in lube to serve their purpose, it will NOT cause rust. Thanks for providing the opportunity to further educate myself!
@@motorsandmeats88 no worries and I appreciate your feedback. I always give raw sheetmetal a wd40 wipe down when im fabricating as it helps knock down the likelihood of surface rust from forming for a while
Great video dude. Also, thank you for fast-forwarding things that would have been repetitive. I think it looks great
Thank you! More Eurowise install videos to come…
Really enjoying your Channel, good minds think alike. Purchased a 996 C4S in 2020 and just love that car, and just purchased a 2008 Cayenne S for Commuting, towing and eventually off roading!!
Heck yes! I can’t think of another car that would make this combo better.
Great work thanks for sharing!
Thanks for making cool stuff!
Great tutorial and things to look out for! Still looking for a 955.1 to start my next project but nothing yet...within reason. BTW, nice 996.1, I used to own a dot1 with GT3 Aero package but no longer have it. A couple of months ago I got in a multi car accident and my 996 was considered a total loss :( Thanks for posting!
Terrible news about the 996! I appreciate the kind words.
They do look a lot better without the valance on and some proper bars
Agreed. Excited to see the outcome of all the changes I’ll make to this Cayenne. My goal is to have it completely built out over the next year.
@@motorsandmeats88 that’s a worthy goal. I’m also busy with a build on mine, but I’m developing my own. It’s been fun
@@porscheoffroad cool. The graphics on yours are sweet!
@@motorsandmeats88 thank you, and thanks for the follow 💪🏾
Great work
Thank you!
Interesting!
Cheers from Sweden!
Cheers mate

I’ve just got interested in overland Cayennes.
Just a bit scared by Porsches hefty pricing.
Which model is most reliable? Is it V8 without turbo?
That’s the one I have, and it seems to be pretty rocksolid. I watched Mat Watson of CarWow run one without oil in it for about an hour before it finally blew up.
Very nice, I’m thinking of doing the same to mine. Question. Did you wire the hitch for power? Or do you know how/what to use to run power for trailering? Thnx
I did do that, but I neglected to make a video about it. I bought a kit from some random website and followed the instructions. I did not have the harness mounted like a plug under the back bumper though. I just left a long length of cord coiled up in the storage compartment in the rear. And when I needed to use it, I would just stretch it out and close the Trunk lid on the wire.
@@motorsandmeats88 oh ok great to know, everything worked as it should? If you come across what type of harness you used give me a shout, thnx
@BrittonRussell-t9c it was the Curt brand, and everything worked as it should.
how many inches you lifted yours?
It’s the Eurowise 3” lift that uses a combo of suspension lift and subframe drop.
Where's the Beef? Why not just remove the bottom portion of the bumper cover while it was on the Cayenne? Then, you would have had time to smoke something! Did you replace the exhaust system, or does your state not require emissions for vehicles over a certain age?
I know right? I probably smoked a giant brisket the day before and forgot to tell you guys about it. Lol I’m still running no muffler. I will eventually do… something with the exhaust. But it sounds so amazing as it is! And you are correct. Mississippi has no emission checks at all.
How much do you think that muffler weigh when you took it off?
I’m guessing about 50 pounds
Do you have a whine from the engine?
I do not. Runs well.
I have a 2012 turbo, sounds similar to yours on start up. At the dealership now Trying to pin point it
@adamlafever1614 on mine, the only sound like that at start up is the secondary air injection.
Hi what is the weight of the tubular bumper?
I believe it is about 50 pounds but didn’t weigh it. I’m going to see Mike Ngo of Eurowise later today and will see if he knows the exact weight. Thanks for watching!
Happy as a fat kid with cake!! Enjoy it!
…and I do love cake
@@motorsandmeats88 same!!😂🤣
Are you going to get a new exhaust?
I’m going to have an exhaust shop put in an X-pipe and route the pipes out near the normal bumper location. But I’m not adding any mufflers. It sounds sooo nice!
@@motorsandmeats88 Definitely keep us updated. I'm worried if I do this, it will be too loud lol how's the cabin noise after the delete?
It isn’t bad at all. Its cleary audible, but it isn’t obnoxious or annoying. In my 911 at certain RPM, I get a pretty awful droning noise. But the Cayenne is nothing like that at all. I’d happily leave it just like it is as far as the sound goes!
