Damn you are one very observant technician. When I worked for AERONAUTICAL COMMUNICATIONS EQUIPMENT,INC. we would always have to give those boards a good look over before we could give them the burn out test :)
Mark Osborn indeed....many times i have gave a look over and found small mistakes i have made etc....only human and usually there is always something small that could be touched up a bit especially in the bigger builds. thanks for stopping by bud....not sure if im a technician though lol....im a hobbyist that is still learning and have a loooooong ways to go. :)
Hell yes your an electronic technician, Hell the head of our engineering department got a lot of his best education at home just messing around. You may not know why things act the way they do but if there was a big demand for our technology we'd be well off. knowledge is power.
travis davis dang i shuda showed it....keep getting fires poping up i having to quickly put out of you know what I mean. I am almost completly finished...was wanting to wait till i was done for pics of the finished product....i changed the circuit actually a bit because i learned a few tricks with the ole HGs :)
Gatekeeper, The only other thing that I would say is, instead of all Teflon wire from the inputs and outputs, should us Teflon coax. AND.. Should make all lengths the same to keep it balanced... I mean it will work but not as efficient. But I would like to see it's good to see someone making amps that also knows what everything is doing. I'll tell ya, that was a really good catch on that phasing, I think I might have missed it at first....
1883GotDown Get to the 2 base amps I sent you and the 5 pill I got $$$ for you now but we both know how fast that can change in my crazy life so get it while you can lol. By the way. I love that 200 amp power supply you made.
Louis Cooper No sir that isnt what that means. I know it is hard to evem imagine how it could take that long for me to get to your amp but being 1 man that does it all, administrative, repair, and builds its all about the loads. i would rather you call me or text me rather then comment this type of information brother im putting my own health at risk to get caught up over here barely getting sleep many days of the week...i finallt have me some help that im training and im working hard as my body will let me bit i will not lower my quality of work to get done faster...i cant brother i just cant rush these amps.....i have your amp right here and ig is 100 percent priority...im sure youll never use me again so imma do the best job i can and discount you greatly and hopes to make up for this long delay. text me next time please brother. 678-557-4846
dr07828 roger, with this type of design you dont have preloads. meaning no input and output caps on each section. Good eyes i can tell you know your stuff :)
Sim, senhor, é um bom dia para comprar. Por favor, pare na minha loja ebay tenho alguns itens listados lá. Obrigado por assistir meus vídeos www.ebay.com/usr/1883gatekeeper
That is a scary design if you ask me. The transformers look like an after thought! The phase has to be off. Good catch on the resistors missing!! I wish he had used a single silver mica of the proper value instead of doubling them. Anytime you are dealing with anything in rf that is oscillation sensitive you are better off using one cap over two anytime you can. First I am sure he did not match them and second silver mica do not age the same especially once you start getting them hot. Doubling up is easier to do but I do not like just because of aging issues and heat! Let's face it Cb'er's tend to run their gear hot and over drive them so they get hot often. Even if he did match those silver mica's originally a year of regular use and they will be miles apart 5 years later they will almost certainly be on the verg of oscillating just one hard drive away. I bet those cores are Chinese as well. That relay does not look liek it is really ideal for a 6 pill! Ok I gota ask what is up with the ferrite beads on the input power? It seems like everyone tosses those on today? Is that because of all the people using ultra cheap Chinese Switcher's for the power supply? I run switching power supplies but not cheap ones. It hardly seems to be worth doing the ferrite core on the input power is stray rf is not an issue with out having filtering caps specifically for the input power. Usually you have to match the a bead and a cap to really get rid of noise either by themselves is not usually enough. Then again when I do that it is because of a noisy vehicle electrical system not because of stray rf from other amps int he vehicle or from cheap switchers at home. I have seen some guys put them on their mic's and I can see that in a lab or shop where you build and test all kinds of amps or in a key down contest vehicle with more stray RF than a thunder storm but for the average Joe it seems like a waste of time and money. The door knob cap seems out of place but I have seen other's do that too. No way that amp needs a door knob cap rated for 1000's of volts I use them on the input side of tube amps all the time but have never used one in a transistor amp.

was hoping I would see sneak peak of a 2x8 in the background

Hello MR. GateKeeper let me know when you get started on mine.
I'll take the pink box if no one want's it. It's gonna be in the trunk anyway and most likely my daughter will be using it. :)
Andy G i could makw ot a base amp to..put a 30 amp module at the bottom...make it a mobile or base whatcha think lol.

I kinda had a feeling...
I got it awful cheap.
Herban Gypsy well get it straightened out bud.
I know you're busy but I need my amp you have had it going on 7 mos. is it that messed up I just don't know duck

How can we get in contact
Rafael Cruz threemanpro@gmail.com be patient please im a bit behind on emails heck im a bit behind on EVERYTHING LOL.
what's you're eBay user name so I can look at your builds ?
Um, I am barley into the vid, but, the outputs of each section are grounded... Uh... usually you have a mica cap to tune those in....
Oh I see.. they are traced out....
OH GOOD CALL on the phasing catching that it was originally an 8 pill
100% with you on the saturation... No other reason....
