Hey Chizi, have you considered reacting to other types of videos other than hair videos? Like memes, funny internet videos etc?
Brings tears to my eyes 👀
PLEASE CHIZI MAKE MORE OF THESE VIDEOS
Yessss
Yes pls
You should check out Seun’s videos on RUclips!! She’s makes not only hair content but also content about living/moving back to Nigeria
Seun should really become a filmmaker. Her Nigeria videos are so good! The use of Relaxers in Nigeria was like a professional documentary!!
Yeah that’s true. She is also a watches Chizi Duru. I really love her content
What’s her @ on RUclips?
@@oz2986 Seun Okimi

When I lived in Japan, I got the most compliments for crotchet or spring twists (especially with color), if I painstakingly twist my own hair (like lots of them), or curly puffs (especially with color). Twisted buns decorated to match my yukata was also a crowd pleaser.
It gives me hope that this is becoming more normalized and appreciated - all styles in whatever style you want to wear.
Wow that’s nice to hear because I have heard a lot of horror stories from Japan.
@CrysJay I was there on a work contract, so I wasn't out there like someone setting up shop there, but I had a great time. I would do another couple years there for sure.
@@bryansl0587 I'm very glad to hear that your experience was positive. I'm in college now, but would love to live there for some years, in the future. Can you please answer: How did you manage your hair and if you found products for it? and, Were you in Tokyo or somewhere else?.
You know you've had such effect on me that I go around saying "you can't talk to me anyhow" in the mirror and to people.
😂😂😂
Always love your 4C reactions! Btw 'Seun' is pronounced 'Shey-un'
Yes! A Yoruba name
As a white woman myself, I love your videos! I've been informed on so much, and 4C hair (as well as all hair types) are absolutely GORGEOUS! 💗
When I see another natural with my hair & style (usually a high puff) I get so excited and shout her out! “Look at us, sis! We are hair twins! We are BEAUTIFUL!!!!”
The girl who cut her hair is an American/Nigerian RUclipsr called Seun, pronounced Shay oon: it's Yoruba.
Chizi! How can you as a Nigerian pronounce Seun's name like THAT??! 😳😭🤣
U can’t blame her, she is Igbo and not Yoruba
Trust me my daughter at 7 is tell me she wishes she had straight long hair instead of her 4c hair texture. I just tell her she doesn't need straight hair her hair is gorgeous the way it is. I would never perm her hair like my mother permed mines at 8.
Crazy cause my experience is the exact opposite. I get nothing but compliments on my natural hair when I go out. I'm also very quick to shoot a compliment when I see another natural beauty out and about. If I saw her in person I would make sure she walks away knowing that her hair is gorgeous asf!
Same! I'm surprised because I always was told before going natural that type 4 hair is hated, but never got any hate....well, except from my old school mother 🙄
ppl always said my hair was boyish because of shrinkage when i wore it natural. now im doing protective styles all the time, not for them, but just bc
Irl people are nicer but online posts, social media and traction is different. People give 3c types more attention. There's also studies that show black women with natural hair get less matches on dating apps than straight/relaxed hair women
Same girl
Damn you’ve been on RUclips for a long.
I see my girl Seun Okimi in the thumbnail👀 btw your skin is glowing✨
I heard a lot of black women say the opposite but I only got compliments from non black peoples when I got braids or flat ironed my hair. I have only gotten compliments on my natural hair from black people and I have 4a hair.
they they only compliments that matter to me. and I know when I see a conscious cloud on the street I look at it like 😍 I wish more ppl rocked them but it makes it more special when I see someone rocking it
Opposite for me
I'm so surprised you haven't heard the name Seun before. It's a really popular Yoruba name lol.
Only knew a Jamaican named Suen and that’s how she pronounced her name 😩 I have learned something new today lol
@@ChiziDuru Omg you replied haha. That's so interesting though! I've never heard the name Suen but that also sounds like a lovely name!
How do you pronounce it? I knew someone named Seun and he pronounced it like say-un.
@@jabathepegasus shay-un
Yes, it's a popular name. She's the first female Seun I've seen.
I miss this. Girl I’m glad you are doing a Tik Tok reaction. Yeeeeeesssssss girl!!!
OluwaSeun - meaning ' Thank you God.'
A yoruba name.
Seun is phonetically pronounced: 'Shay-Woon'.
Chizi your character is one of a kind love it!
I’m here my favorite. I’ve been seeing you in “black women in luxury” videos. I’m so happy they see the glow I do 💜💜💜
Why is type 4 shrinkage so disrespectful but beautiful at the same time.
It’s not beautiful at all. Low key makes these females look like males 😂😂😂
@ Emma Hollow
That’s disrespectful. It doesn’t make women look like men and who should care even if it did. 4c is just as pretty as any other hair type shrinkage and all
@@katesweeney4921 that emma chick is bat sh!t crazy. She's mad, mad. The reason why she's saying that is that a 4c woman took her man
@@nicholasbishop4538 lmaoooo
@@katesweeney4921 it’s not disrespectful to say the truth and yikes you probably think 4c hair and dark skin is cute it ain’t sis 😂
For the first video, Why are we obsessed with bone straight hair? I used to only want by hair bone straight. But after wearing kinky straight wigs I started embracing a more textured or kinky straight hair and it's allowed me to straighten my hair more often and keep my hair healthy.
When you do your laugh, and move only your bottom lip, it takes me out! 😂😂😂
I LOOOOOOOVE when you do these reaction videos!!!! One thing that always annoys me about those before and after natural hair videos is many of them purposely and intentionally pack their fros down to get more WOW reactions. I was under the impression you’re just supposed to show your hair dry (as is) and then wet. Not Pat/pack it down as flat as you can beforehand.
The moment I realise that most people watching her videos are (only) black woman it breaks my hart🥺 I’m a white 14 year old and love ur videos I always thought that type 4 hair was so beautiful and wished my curls to be like urs
You r so great I really liked the video 💕☺️
Seun has watched your video's too! 😊 She's very sweet and does a lot of different vlog styles from Nigeria, as well as natural hair video's.
I've learned a lot from your videos and I've grown to appreciate type 4 hair and all the time and care y'all put into it. I'm Mexican American and I just love your videos!
The reactions are KILLING me 😆😂🤣
Your earrings are giving me life!
I always like your content before I watch because you are awesome.
Hah, just did the same
Video begins at 2:40
Oh you should totally check out Seun! She’s also a Hair RUclipsr!
Your videos are always fun to watch!. Thanks for the skillshare too.
8:30 her pink eye liner is giving me LIFE
omg seeing seun's video made me so happy ^^
YES!! I’m EARLY!!! But also yes- I miss these vids too. Don’t no one do It like you chilee
Did you just call her “SUEN”???😂😂😂 it’s Seun; as in shey-un. It’s Nigerian. Yoruba. You’re so cute 😅
Please😭 I was about to say this
I was like why Chizi do her name like that😭😭😭 like not suen????
NOW HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW THAT WHEN I’M IGBO 😭 But thanks for correcting me, I know better now!
🤣🤣🤣 I was about to type this exact post but you beat me to it. Chizi darling, you have no excuse because I'm Ghanaian but knew how to say the name even before I subscribed to Seun's channel
@@ChiziDuru I understand Chizi. Just because you're Nigerian that doesn't mean you have to know how to pronounce EVERY Nigerian name. Someone got on my for that awhile back and I'm still in my feelings about it lol.
7:29 Chizi, Seun is called what? 😱😱😱
Why not just say type 4 if the majority of your head isn’t one texture…. People like to think just because they are darker they by default have 4c
Everyone’s hair is different, hair texture isn’t always going to be the same throughout the entire scalp, especially if it’s more coiled. It’s extremely difficult to maintain type 4 hair and some strands won’t get the same treatment as others simply because of the level of difficulty, making it look different. However, people define their hair type based on the majority and the texture in its most natural state. If someone has mainly 4C hair on a day to day basis, their hair texture is 4C. The reason for different categories with type 4 hair is because hair is so diverse. No one can categorize their hair into just one type unless you’re type 1. Coils come in different shapes and different categories are necessary in order to properly identify the hair texture.
@@madisonleatherwood9045 Okay?…. The problem is people who do not have 4c hair are claiming to have 4c hair. They are using methods and doing styles that true 4c hair can’t do, creating unrealistic expectations of what their hair can do making true 4c textures feels like something is wrong with them. I have type 3 hair, at no point am I going to claim a number in that type because my hair isn’t majority one texture as most people’s hair isn’t.
Because they get more views when the advertise as pure 4c lol. Lying is good for business I guess 🤷🏿♀️
"wHy ArE YoU TalKinG t0 Me? 😭

Can we get a makeup tutorial pls 😁💕
Tik tok is overwhelming. Gonna post a few videos for fun and see how it goes.
The girl with the afro, pink satin top, pink crease eyeliner. So, so gorgeous. Love from Denmark
Suen!Wait what, You dont know her already? She is Nigerian, such a lovely person.
Looking so beautiful in this video Chizi 😍
Here because I saw Seun😍
9:34 That's my problem with like modeling auditions!! Like it's a constant worry of what to wear and ESPECIALLY HOW TO DO MY HAIR.
Like my.... certain demographic friends constantly say "oh wear your hair out, they'll love it, just wear it natural" and do they not know??. A woman of color, especially one wanting to model well be judged for EVERYTHING with her appearance
I love this serie
The BAYANG! Whoa whoooaaOOhoooOOHH!
Yesssss! Love these!
You look so beautiful!!
I need you to look at my hair cause I swear I got like 4 textures chiiile lol
Where can I find these earrings???? The way I have typed African dangly earrings in every shop I could think of lmaoo.
The name of the girl who cut her hair is pronounced She - oon.
Is there somewhere that you list the pages of the people you’re reacting to? I’d like to visit some of their tiktok pages.
I enjoyed watching this.
The first one i didn’t like at all because #1 the constant i don’t need to straighten my hair to be pretty lol like girl stfu we know
The first girl need to sit in deeper than hair set and get her hair done right
Say it again for the folks in the back! She would have that hair bone straight! I think her hair is gorgeous either way but if you are gonna do it do it right !
@@bethanywillis5222 facts. If you are going to do it, do it RIGHT!!

She cut all that length off 🥺
That big chop was Seun Okimi here on RUclips! She's Nigerian :)

Can you try function of beauty?
Scam of scams
What's the point of this 4abc system? It doesn't assist in how to best treat your hair. We need to switch to the green beauty system.
Actually, it does assist in a way in how we treat our hair. A person with a 4 type curl may not be able to use the same methods and products as a person with a 3 type hair, just as a person with 3 type hair may not be able to do the same things as a person with a 2 type. It also helps you know that your hair holds water and oils differently, etc. because each of the types is different. Mostly though, it’s just to let you know what type of curls you have. It doesn’t have to be a bad thing, it’s people that make it bad.
@@poppycartergraphics120 tbh, I think the hair typing system only tells us what our curls can look like, and very little about what to do with it or what techniques to use. I say this as a type 4 who’s tried all the techniques type 4s have, very few have worked for me. I find things like hair density, silkiness, and hair porosity tell me a lot more about techniques and products than hair typing.
But I also agree that hair typing isn’t bad at all- it allows us to set realistic expectations for ourselves! As a type 4, I (probably) won’t get as smooth a roller set as a type 3 natural, so i look to it for stretching, not as a style.
And I’ve said this before, but I think us old naturals are too dismissive of the hair typing system and its benefits for new naturals. Yes, you’ll find something better later on, but it’s a fantastic jumping off point when you’re just starting out! There’s so much about natural hair out there and hair typing makes it more digestible. Honestly, we all put too much stock into all of this; it’s your head so naturally you have to figure out what works best for you it. Everyone else’s words are just guides and suggestions, not fact.
It helps when it comes to styles (like how your hair would look like after using certain products) but that's it. I just also think it matters because we need representation , there is nothing wrong with it. People just go overboard with the hair typing system thinking that it supposed to tell them how to take care of our hair when that is simply not true. It's people's mindset not the hair chart.
Hey Chizi I hope your doing well.
Highlight of my dayyyyy
Not SWEN!! 😭😭😭💀
It’s pronounced SHAY-OON
Chizi i have been watching your channel for loooooong. Why doesn’t your hair grow past a certain length (no hate just curiosity)
Breakage.
Damage.
Oh my *gosh* not..
But I loved this video ngl 🥰🤍
Never been this early 😂
Is it "Stay with me" by Ayobami Adebayo I spot in the background?!
So what exactly is 4c hair to you. Define it cuz your confusing me. Enough let's just call it type 4 hair so it covers all the subtypes a,b & c
This finna be a mess-
8:45 omg LOLLLL
4c squad let's gather here for group selfie 🤳
8:44 what that a glitch there?😂
Hi stranger . Just wanted to let you know that Jesus loves you and so do I
I don't know my hair type it shrinks like crazy it's waist
length when blow dried but when wet it shrinks and my curl pattern is weird it's wavy but not visible when blow dried pls tell me my hair type😊🤔
HEYY GIRLIEEE❤❤❤
5:24 the girl has 4B hair texture, my natural hair is the same. My hair texture in the front is looser and tighter near my crown.
It is so sad that people white people don't compliment black people's hair/hate on them. Like comon, how can anyone say something bad about it? Just look how it stretches it is pure magic. 🤯🤯
@@hi-kf6hl I didn't mean that it is someone's job to compliments someone because not everyone loves compliments, but hating on someone's appearance is a big no no.
But 4b is no curl pattern doh 🤔
Natural hair qwwweernnsss
Hey just noticed something you look like Omoni Oboli.
If the woman in the Las Angeles tee on has 4b hair I wonder what Chizi would consider my hair to be. 3b?
Is it okay for non-black people to wear braids for example or is it cultural appropriation?
Please elaborate more as there are black women that are light skin.
@@nethaniapierre8149 Oh I'm sorry
@@earthfighter8711 you don't have to apologize it just sounded weird when you said light skin lol. But now that you changed it, it makes more sense. And to answer your question I don't think it's cultural appropriation to wear braids but I do think it looks weird since I'm not used to seeing non-black wear braids (as in weave).
@@nethaniapierre8149 Thank you for your answer!
Have you heard of the " no butters and no oils" technique? You go without using butters or oils for styling your hair. Just wash, condition and mouse.
That sounds interesting. Have you tried it? Is it done eveyday?
@@IamKKH , I haven't tried it but if you look on Jenn J RUclips; she explains it all. Another 4C beauty. Chizi and her I've been watching for a long time. True to 4C community.
@@kisharivers7709 Appreciated!! ❤❤. Thank you
I love watching Jenn J and Latoya videos on the no oils and butters challenge.
Hey Chizi sometime it is not about the texture 4a, 4b, 4C it’s just the way you styled it is not always cute. Please do not assume because I didn’t give it a heart it’s because of the texture your look might be one I do not vibe with at the moment
White woman here learning.
Is there a video or can there be a video on how she braids her hair edges. Every summer I try to do sowmthing natrual other than box braids but I can never just gel my hair up, because my edges end up puffing up looking crazy lol. @chiziduru
#chiziduru @chiziduru
you might need to use an edge control. i think its works better than the usual gel since its a bit tougher and will hold your hair down better
