A similar thing happened to our family with a stray cat. She was maybe 7 months old when she came into our home, crying outside in the rain and we let her in. I put up notices, posters, called all of the authorities and no one claimed her. Haley (named after the infamous comet) is our cat now and she is 20 years old. ❤. She chose us and we are so happy she did. I think little Franky chose you.😊. Love your cross stitch projects and progress!! Thanks so much for sharing.
I think Franky is happy with you and your family. He doesn’t seem to be bothered that his other owner is not there with him. Just love him and he’ll be fine and he will love you back too. I think he does already. The only other thing that I can think of is if he was with a family/owner on vacation. He could be from anywhere any state. I hope you all are doing fine with all the rain Florida has had recently. Praying for everyone down your way. Your projects as always are wonderful. Fairy Moon will be gorgeous when completed, I can’t wait. Happy Stitching 🧵🪡
Awww! Mary! You gave such a good heart! That poor puppy. Thankfully, your were there so he didn't get hit by a car but i feel for you as animals are a big responsibility. I hope you find a solution! As for your stitching, your pieces are lovely! I get what you mean. Once you start one thing, you want to start it all. Im kind of feeling that way. Take care and keep us updated on the puppy!
Hello, beautiful, bright Mary! Your Soda Stitch seasonal Treehouses are wonderful! The discipline it takes to stitch them all on the same piece is admirable. 😍 Love your racoons on Spring Forest Scrapbook! They're adorable! Also , your Shannon Christine Christmas conversion is perfect. I'm in love. 💚🩵💙 Your pugs are adorable. How dilifent you've been trying to find the owner for the rescue! Hope you get the answers you need.
I have a feeling that Frankie may be staying with you (smile). Do you have a dog or animal control officer for your county? In New York we have one for each county and they might have information about lost dogs or take a report of a found dog. It sounds like the shelter is overwhelmed. I volunteer at a shelter and some of the dogs that we take in as strays are a puzzle like you have with Frankie. Thanks too for the information on the fabric you used for Garden Prelude. I have a stunning piece of Grace Notes fabric ear-marked for her but every time I see yours I'm VERY tempted to copy your idea. 🪡👠
I think you have a new forever pet:) personally, I feel someone intentionally may have dumped him to the streets. I hope things work out for him and you..
Is there any way to use Nextdoor to put out a “found” notice in the region he was found? But it does sound like you’ve tried every typical avenue. Perhaps take him for a walk in that area and see if he gravitates to a particular home?
Good ideas, thank you! I did post on Nextdoor and put up flyers in the area, but didn't walk him bc it's a busy country/agricultural road without any subdivisions nearby. Thar is a great idea though!
The fabric is Pink Sunset Beach on 32 count lugana (I wish I had gotten linen as it's brighter colors). Its made by Fabric Flair. This is the landscape orientation.

I think you should keep him. He could end up where he wouldn't be loved. You have done all you can trying to find the owner.
Oh goodness What is the stitch behind you? The girl with the violin? Beautiful
Hi, thank you! This is called Garden Prelude by Mirabilia.
