- This is NOT a DIY project. Lithium batteries are dangerous if handled carelessly. do not puncture, crush or heat lithium batteries as they can ignite and become a fire hazard. The intention of this video is to help other technicians with experience and skill in cell phone repair.
Core Battery Replacement for iPhone 12 pro max. I have been working towards mastering this battery replacement method for quite some time now and wanted to share the results and information with other technicians to help advance the cell Phone and electronics repair industry. Until this solution there was no way to avoid the Non-genuine battery message for iphone XR and newer models. The notification is not the real issue. If it were simply a notification that the battery was aftermarket I would not care to master and implement this service. The big issue for me is that without doing the replacement this way you lose a function of the phone, Battery Health is settings. Admittedly this feature is not a very essential one. Some customers would opt for a cheaper quicker battery replacement at times, but when I repair a phone I want to give my customer the option to retain ALL functions of the device.

I genuinely hope this video helps the repair community. Not sure why we need to jump through hoops and learn advanced techniques to provide our customers with the best possible repair? Check out the right to repair movement. Essentially a legal movement trying to earn your right to choose who repairs your device. This will reduce waste by making repairs more accessible, it will also mean generally cheaper repairs as it promotes natural competition in the Cell phone repair industry.
All I can say is HALLELUJAH! I have literally been scouring the internet for days trying to find an easy-to-follow video on how to do a BMS transfer. I cannot tell you how happy I was to finally stumble across someone who was coherent and showed clear step-by-step instructions on how to do this repair. The microscope camera was also a real excellent touch so that we could have close-ups of exactly how to spot weld. I’m very happy to say that, after following your instructions, I have now been able to successfully accomplish the BMS repair and my iPhone 12 Pro Max has no warning message and 100% battery health! 😊 Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video my friend. Hi great video, I was wondering what the Tag-On Flex is, what its for, and if its necessary. I got a different battery programmer.
Great video, if u dont leave tag flex cable in iPhone after factory reset or restore Battery Health will come back to original percentage from original battery.

For 11 and newer you need to use the computer program. I have this detailed in many of my videos.
