U will understand some words just u have 2 know some basic things like for eg. a becomes o same as in bengali ( sundor for sundar, hridoy for hriday, jeevon for jeevan, nd also one unique thing that is only present in assamese language as any word that contains "s" it becomes like "h" nd normally written as x to match d phonetics.. Eg. Sundor becomes xundor( pronounced as " hundor"), sarbananda sonowal(horbanondo honowal), asur(ohur).😊😊😊 If u focus on some of dis minor changes then will easily understand some of d words. Another eg. D nakhyatra song of abhi saikia actually means " nakshyatra"
