Hi Jess, you're welcome! The stroller itself can be used for babies that weigh 9kg and up. It is recommend to use the infant car seat from 0 - 9kg with the stroller before placing baby in the stroller without the infant car seat. Carry cots seem to be a controversial topic in our shop. Some clients absolutely loved it as carry cots allow baby to lie completely flat for short naps and they offer more legroom. Other customers ended up never using their carry cots and said it was a nice extra but not needed. It all depends on your little one and where you plan on exploring. Carry cots will be nice for longer days away from home or when visiting friends/family and you don't want to take with a camp cot in the event your little one falls asleep. It's a very short time however that baby gets to use the carry cot. Hope that helps!
Without a base, the car seat is installed using the vehicle's safety belt. You can purchase separately either an isofix or non-isoifx base depending on your vehicle type.
All you have to do is place the infant car seat on top of the front bar (without its material cover) and the infant car seat will automatically lock into position. There is a small plastic hook at the back of the infant car seat that latches onto the plastic front bar of the stroller. I hope that helps.

As soon as the baby is able to sit upright on their own or has outgrown the infant car seat or weighs 9kg. Whichever one comes first.
