Oh my god are you serious? I can’t even believe I got nine vouchers and I’m still working as a Background a Actor no no no no I’m quitting. I cannot even believe I’m still working as a Background Actor Terri
@@Chevonne11 It depends what you want to do with your career. If you are a background actor on a TV show, you cannot audition for any roles on that show regardless if you were shown as a bg or not. Was informed this from my agent and manager. You can though on film, just not tv or any streaming shows.
I think it’s so awesome that you’ve done SO much! I would of never thought but you’re so good at what you do that I do believe it! Such amazing content 🔥 Thank you for sharing 💕
If you're still reading the comments, what are the residuals like for commercials? Is it often more than the paychecks i got for my days on set? I recently did a commercial for a brand where I'm the only actor in it, from an audition the casting director got me, out of many other auditions. I'm ACTRA, its the SAG AFTRA of Canada.
I’m not as well versed on Residuals out of Canada but I have done commercials there in order for the production to cut costs and go local. We are on Strike right now so that we can get more pay, as our day rate is not the best and because of streaming our residuals are non existent.
You kept it a buck!! Still out here saving lives!! P.S. They will try to get you show that skin for the super low. Lol Going up on them lines kill everybody!!
When I became an extra the first 4 movies I worked on gave me a voucher so I got four. Then another one later on on a different movie. I finally decided to join SAG I tried asking people before joining if it was worth it some sag extras said yes and non union people told me no. (Idk if it was cuz they were jealous) Anyway I decided to join because I guess I realized I was lucky and took it as a sign to go for it. I guess I’m just asking for advice? any thoughts
Yes to SAG extra work over non union! First off it’s 3x the pay grade, secondly you get health insurance and pension depending how much you make! Good job!
I am so happy to find you and your channel. So helpful...thank you!
You are so welcome! I'm glad that you liked it!
@@kristenhenryking I now see what I need to improve on....your information-priceless
Loved this. I stopped doing bg work once I got my third voucher.
That is awesome! You got out of the trap! Well done!
@@kristenhenryking Lol! It is tough to stop bg once it becomes second nature 😂

As soon as you get your union card from all the times you were an extra, you should ideally stop.
