my son fell 77 feet down a waterfall at turner falls oklahoma....he fell 20ft hit rock fell another 15ft hit rock etc etc.... til he landed at the bottom in about 6 inches of water. he survived. but he fractured his back in 5 places, thankfully he didnt become paralyzed. he broke his heel and his tailbone and cracked some ribs and had bumps and bruises. it was the scariest day of my life.... i thought he was dead. the worst feeling in the world. all because of a stiff wind and a slippery rock.
Oh my goodness I'm sorry about that happening but glad that he was able to come through. This cyclist wasn't that lucky unfortunately. Thank you for sharing that and I hope this video wasn't upsetting for you.
So sorry for the family. May he rest in peace. Please be careful out there. I don't even like driving in a car near cliffs like that. Fear of heights. Lefty be careful also.
As we find the isolation we sometimes seek, you in the campulance, that gentleman on his bike, It will be very beautiful, but danger can be hiding in plain view. Be safe, and as I read in another video, give Lefty a belly rub. Thanks for sharing your journey.
@@TheCampulanceMan I feel like these lessons remind us about the extreme danger of nature and to be alert at all times, especially the desert. So sad it came at such a huge price for him and his family. Please take care out there and I see you do. And Lefty is the best partner you can have.
I’m sorry to hear about this, even though it’s two years later. I don’t know if it would help this gentleman with just a reminder please keep a personal locator beacon with you and on your person. Not clipped to a backpack not clipped to your bicycle or motorcycle, but on your person. Backpack can go over a cliff and the beacon will do no good if you can’t get to it to activate it. Stay safe everyone and thanks for the beautiful videos.
What a sad story for the family and friends. The only positive to them is that the individual was brought home and not in a remote area and could not be found. That happens to too many people continue travels. Be safe and keep making videos. I’m following you and lefty. I can’t stand it how cute that dog is he has a little mind of his own and he speaks it loud and clear lol
Sad accident. High adrenaline sports have lots of risks. Glad you got up to a higher elevation. I'm in Washington Country now too, but with a Class C I go for campgrounds. Nice to finally have warmer weather!
Damn man!! Don't do that. First thing thing that crossed my mind from the title and where you're at was something happened to Lefty, I Love that Dog!! Thank god you're both safe!
I didn't even think about the title causing that thought - sorry about that Steven...Lefty is A-OK and always will be. I take better care of him than me! I appreciate your concern for him, thank you.
I watched video yesterday on RUclips where someone camping came up missing.. later they found his body in a deserted well covered by bushes in the desert
That rock canyon behind you is gorgeous. Or whatever it’s called. Glad you’re keeping safe. ( since I just found your channel, I’m doing ketchup 😉 on your videos. )
Thats sad someone passed away. I never thought of having Journey off leash, and something like that could happen because he would chase a bunny straight over the lip.
Puts things in perspective doesn't it. We all have our problems or demons, but something like what happened there makes our problems seem insignificant.

I'm so glad your son is okay after all of that! Praise God!
A reminder of how precious life is
That was a very sobering day...
Holy cow. That casts a shadow on the day. The obituaries can be a very sad column.
This is the 100th video I've watched. Stay safe.
Thank you for that!

Safety is always top in my mind especially for Lefty - he relies on me and I can't let him down. Great comment - and the next belly rub is from you :)
aww sad. But you must always be mindful. Take care.
Nature demands respect...
That was a real unfortunate situation.

I went camping with a friend years ago that met a similar fate at a waterfall.

It was a sobering day... some of the most beautiful areas are the most dangerous :/
It made me grab on to Lefty tight that evening.

Wow Dave, I missed this one but found it in the archives. So sad but I guess you've got to keep on your toes.
Thanks for sharing and good advice for all.
Thank you Maggie.
Wowsers

Yes it's like the more beautiful it is, the more dangerous it is. Thank you Gina.
I think of some places that I have gone . and when I look back at it later , it was stupid ...
Stay safe.
Absolutely Richard. It's on the top of my priority list and this is a reminder of why. Thank you.
