I love how smooth her voice is and how she looks on stage. She almost looks as if she's actually physically standing there, the lighting and shading on her model doesnt look as if she's just there! We might not have flying cars, but we have holograms of anime girls that almost look realistically there.

The music is fantastic but what I think gets overlooked is IA's choreography. It's always been amazing to watch it evolve and get better over the years.
2 years later, and people still use this motion since its so well done. Minor details like her hands not going to a complete stop at swings instead recoils like how a real person would are amazing. At this point people just need to slap on some ray traced skin over this and it would look like it was made yesterday.

Wow 1st Place have really improved their visuals in terms of the model. Current ones not so good either, they are too faint But there's a new model on the development stage, it's way more realistic than the 2013 version and more natural_organic than the current one
Personally I like these models better than Magical Mirai. Magical Mirai is... so anime. Like I get it, weird argument right? So anime when its a japanese 3D animation. But the models are so anime that it upsets me of how artificial it looks on screen. Id love it if they used idk models like their trailer for I believe it was project diva 3 or something.

Oh man, I've watched the dance and listened to the song so many times, but I never watched the LIVE until now. The background dancers do such an amazing job. They deserve every bit as much credit for pulling off this dance live.

I still think Gumi has the most intelligible English of the Japanese Vocaloids, but IA English doesn't even run on the Vocaloid engine, it runs on CeVIO. A step in the right direction, though, seeing as they had never done English before and she sounds really good.
@Mahmoud Saadeh CeVio is another Singing Vocal Synthesizer that is very much similar two UTAU and VOCALOID. While IA "~Aria on the Planetes~" & "IA Rocks" are VOCALOID 3 Software, her company 1st Place had released IA English C on the CeVio Engine. It is currently being updated to a new voicebank named "IA SONG ENGLISH"
This is severely underrated, the dancers are 10/10 and how on earth do you put a hologram between humans and still keep it so smooth?! You bet I'm gonna show this to people.
Imagine with the new raytracing tech they can make it so the shadows on her look realistic depending on the environment (like set cameras around and map the environment virtually so the light will bounce on her naturally instead of having that unrealistic glow) it would make her skin more believable. Then someone just has to somehow improve the hair physics. That shit would be insane.
Seriously Ia deserves so much more love tbh. It hurts my soul when I start talking to other people who Know Vocaloid and I just bring her up, then they're staring at me like "What the hell is is madman talking about"...point is Ia is top tier waifu, change my mind!
She's definitely not unpopular, but given all the effort 1st Place has put into promoting her almost as an actual performer and giving her and ONE honest-to-God canon personalities, she does seem a little underappreciated :( And Jesus knows I'm not gonna argue the waifu point -That outfit hot damn- -I'd let her conquer me any day-
That's some next level quality! I'm amazed on how natural she sounds. It's even different from your usal IA voice, but it's awesome, and I'm totally addicted to this song! Kudos for those who made it. The performance was also very neat and badass. I really would love to be there! Although I know their model quality still looks kinda plastic and doll-like, the clothes are really pretty, and the dance and music were well handled. Simple presentation, but very remarkable. I'm looking forward to what it'll turn out in the future. Cheers!
IMO "plastic and doll-like" are part of the Vocaloid character aesthetic and her charm. Those impressions are hard to dispel without adding deliberate imperfection for the sake of realism or altering her proportions, which are inherently doll-like. I agree with the rest of what you said!

IA's models are much better than Crypton models now, I like the 2013 ones, they looked more realistic
@@nientiendo1986 Even though old models were looking realistic it was not very effective at giving miku a natural look, it was looking like a silicon model.
Current ones not so good either, they are too faint
But there's a new model on the development stage, it's way more realistic than the 2013 version and more natural_organic than the current one
Personally I like these models better than Magical Mirai. Magical Mirai is... so anime. Like I get it, weird argument right? So anime when its a japanese 3D animation. But the models are so anime that it upsets me of how artificial it looks on screen. Id love it if they used idk models like their trailer for I believe it was project diva 3 or something.

投影技術もさることながら、楽曲も昨今のトレンドであるEDM調、トロピカルハウスっぽくもあるけど圧倒的な存在感の楽曲。
ファンでもなんでもありませんが、日本の誇れるアーティストの一人だと勝手に脳に刷り込みました(笑)

While IA "~Aria on the Planetes~" & "IA Rocks" are VOCALOID 3 Software, her company 1st Place had released IA English C on the CeVio Engine. It is currently being updated to a new voicebank named "IA SONG ENGLISH"
This is severely underrated, the dancers are 10/10 and how on earth do you put a hologram between humans and still keep it so smooth?! You bet I'm gonna show this to people.

Imagine with the new raytracing tech they can make it so the shadows on her look realistic depending on the environment (like set cameras around and map the environment virtually so the light will bounce on her naturally instead of having that unrealistic glow) it would make her skin more believable. Then someone just has to somehow improve the hair physics. That shit would be insane.
The workaround to real time hair physics is using a bun. If that works in real life for people with long hair, then it also applies to 3D models.

That's some next level quality! I'm amazed on how natural she sounds. It's even different from your usal IA voice, but it's awesome, and I'm totally addicted to this song! Kudos for those who made it. The performance was also very neat and badass.
I really would love to be there! Although I know their model quality still looks kinda plastic and doll-like, the clothes are really pretty, and the dance and music were well handled. Simple presentation, but very remarkable. I'm looking forward to what it'll turn out in the future. Cheers!
IMO "plastic and doll-like" are part of the Vocaloid character aesthetic and her charm. Those impressions are hard to dispel without adding deliberate imperfection for the sake of realism or altering her proportions, which are inherently doll-like. I agree with the rest of what you said!
