Pratibhatayi Patil had contested for elections in the year 1989 from Arabhavi constituency in Gokak. The election commission had issued a Tiger symbol to her. Pratibhatayi had brought a tiger from Bombay circus company on rent for 15 days and campaigned in the constituency. Even though she brought a tiger for campaigning she couldn't win in the elections.
