Yet another great Trackman video. In my opinion this as close as it gets to actual golf. Quality again reading the chips really well and the putting is spot on considering that’s biggest drawback of sim golf the putting IMO but trackman looks about the best fit for that too
Yeah I’m impressed so far. I don’t think I’ve used a radar that has done putting this short before. Chipping down to 8ft seems realistic, I’m going to ask if they plan on getting it down further. I would think with the utilization of the camera it would be possible.

My friend and I tried a simulator at the golf club we work at this past weekend. It was a Foresight and neither of us were that impressed. We think the short game including putting has a way to go before it is an accurate simulation of the real game. I have a couple of questions. Is that brown strip the same surface as the green? In regards to putting you made a reference to "auto align" which looks like you merely try to hit it straight and the program takes care of the break so all you have to get right is the weight. Let's say you have a break right to left. It doesn't look like you have to aim right with "auto align". I don't know how Trackman handles splash shots but with the Foresight there was no difference hitting out of a greenside bunker vs. chipping from the rough. Final question, what resolution is the screen you are hitting in to? Is it more than 1080P? Is Trackman capable of 4K? Thanks.
Great video - Seems to work well with short chips & putts. You cant set "gimme" distance to anything less than 8ft? Can you play "putt ball in" & no "gimme" putts?
Not yet. 8ft is the minimum. I think it will be expected for them to lower that down with the latest firmware allowing for shorter putts. This is beta so once final I would think they will lower to 5ft.
I would say it is the most impressive indoor radar unit I have tried. Very impressed with the short chipping and putting so far. Plus this is only the beta firmware. They are still working on things. They are saying they still have not reached full potential of Trackman 4 that is why you are not seeing them rush to a Trackman 5. Very interesting stuff. I will for sure try to share as much as I can and keep everyone up to date. Thanks for watching!!
Yes. I talked about that towards the end. On the short putts I notice if it bounced it went offline. Smoother the surface the better since it is reading the roll.
You gotta admit, if you are having a few buddies over to your place and you have your choice of all of your sims to pick from to hit the range and then to play a round, you are firing up the Trackman...

The Color of the lines on the what do they mean is blue downhill yellow flat and red uphill?
Very little compromise there. Trackman 4 is on another level compared to other radar units

Correct. Shows the undulation.
