The cinematography and editing is also spot on. The tight shots, overhead microphone, pan and focus, red/black theme but with a wide variety of outfits made it more dynamic. Lip sync was pretty spot on. Technically brilliant. Also you could surf Rick's hair.

I have a lot of respect for Rick that I don't have for a lot of celebrities. He was a millionaire in his mid twenties and a huge pop star. Instead of acting a fool and winding up broke or crazy from bad choices rick met his wife and had a child. He put the fame aside to raise his daughter and focus on his marriage.
