- Yeah i've had lack of motivation to animate anything big ;-;
But well, i decided to make this little flipaclip tutorial. Neither is the animation so big, and had the energy for it ^^
I hope this video helps somehow on how to animate smoothly or just in general making a character move :]
This also shows, how i animate. (I mostly tween ;-;)

Here's another tip I thought might help : For very detailed characters, always use another layer for coloring, it take time but trust me on the process, it's also useful when shading or appliying effects 😃👌I also advise making storyboards so you don't forget what you're working on .
Aa thanks! Yes this helps ^^ Thanks :)
@@Lokifur no problem ^_^
omg i always do that even if my character isnt complex and it helps me out so much
That's amazing ! It makes the character look neater ! 💕
@@Lokifur Another thing, if you're animating a cartoon-like character, ex: Mickey mouse, Spinel, anything like that you would apply the rules of squash & stretch!
Oh, btw, if you want to animate but don't want to draw the lasso around the whole character EVERY. SINGLE. FRAME. to fix a certain mistake, you can double tap the lasso tool twice and it automatically selects the whole character!
Okay how the fuck did this help me more then like 5 tutorials from professional animators⁉️⁉️⁉️⁉️⁉️⁉️
Dayum 🤯 Glad this helped though!
because this person isnt explaining anything. you just followed the video step by step instead of actually learning anything. ☠
@@silvinavelarde6762 nah it’s bc they make it easy to understand for beginners in animation. It’s like art tutorials on YT/TikTok, that you can follow as a guide from the start and then eventually learn why is that so, and how to alter it. I may not be a good animator but I’ve been drawing since 3, I know when I will need to understand
@@XArtisanHere its easy to understand BECAUSE its a step by step.
@@silvinavelarde6762 Yeah I never said that wasn’t true
The fact that the top of the ball lined up with one of the gridlines before the grid was even turned on is so satisfying 😔🙌 also your art style is gorgeous and adorable, thanks for the tutorial :D
Aa i didn't even notice :0 Thanks, and i am glad this helped!
yes, the ease in-out or ease out
also holy hell your art/animationing is heavenly
Thank you for telling what was the name of the animation technique! I couldn't remember it at all 😭 But tysm for the compliment!!!
I'm actually a animator beginner but yea! This helps me a lot, despite about knowin' that the grid is always helpful, tysm! Now i'll improve my animations little by little!💃💃🌟
Aa good this helped! ^^ Good luck on your animating journey :3
@@Lokifur Yezz >:DD✨
i started animating when i was 8 years old! this really helped! thanks!! ❤💜
Wooow! :D You must have been animating for a long time ^^ Glad this helped! :>
Me too
@@Lokifur thank you!! ❤💜
Your tutorial is amazing and can really help others to learn well. My problem with drawing and making animation is the lack of motivation and deconcentration. It’s difficulty for me to draw something basic while having these issues. This appeared on my recommends and caught my attention. The way you explain by each step is nice and easy. Good luck with your creativity future artist!
Wow thank you so much! But I hope you'll get ease from the problem and wish you the best ^^ I'm glad this was easy to follow and caught your attention! Thank you for the compliments and good luck for you too
TIP:
When coloring with the bucket, put the white square at 99%
Thanks for the tip! ^^
Tip: start with that, but if it colors too much, adjust the amount
Tbh I love your artstyle, ngl SpeedPaints are so satisfying to watch❤
Thank you!! I agree that speedpaints are satisfying >:DD

Duplicate layer and lasso : what about me?😢
@@Imnotahatershatersometimes that’s not the best for these types of animations, but you can duplicate the first frame until you like it
Hey! I just wanna say (I forget if I commented before) that this tutorial and the tweening one helped me out a LOT, and animation is actually a lot more fun! I'm actually in the very beginning stages of a silly animated series, one I don't think I would want to pull off without this!
Im a anti furry but this tutorial helped me a lot, yes. I don’t threaten furries or anything like that. Im just chill, kinda against furries (ONLY IF THEY ARE INAPPROPRIATE OR CRINGE) but you just earned yourself a sub 👍
Even as a furry, I agree with u on the weird ones lol
@@m1dn1ghtqt W furry 👏👏👏
I'm a therian and called as anti zoos. Zoos stand for zoophiles btw there are very inappropriate btw i I agree with U 2!
Now these are the anti furries I like. Not the one who keeps on yapping on the internet hating at fabric for idk how long.
That's really mature actually! I'm glad you are chill about it ^^ And I very much agree on the inappropriate ones 😨 Thanks for the sub tho :]
Thank you for the tutorial little one :D its gorgeous i love it!! you should start maiking more tutorials like this like maintaing a tail or jumping tutorial
Also you helped me so much :]
Oo thank you so much!
Your telling me i didnt need to search every fucking corner to look for white dots?
Aw 😭
THE DRAWING IS SO CUTEEE,
Btw I'll try this tutorial only if i learned to trace each layers 😭
Thanks!! :D By layers do u mean frames? By time you'll improve!
Thankss :33 and ya I meant frames xD
I use 15 frames, it works the best for me, it’s makes the lip sync pretty cool
You animate very smoothly and confidently. That's great!
Thanks! I appreciate it ^^
Ty for this tutorial! Tryin to learn how to animate and this honestly motivated me lol- also your art style is literally beautiful!

You are truly incredibly talented!!! also you are very talented in animation, thank you for this great tutorial video!!💛🫶✨️

Straight ahead animation will make your character size inconsistent overtime

No problem! I am glad this helped! Hope your transition goes well :3
holy, this helped a lot. very simple to understand, i love it. ❤
Thanks! I'm glad this helped
I’d recommend using the lasso tool to past the drawing to move it straight it makes it easier and takes a lot less time
I'm sorry i dont KIND of understand :[ Can you explain again? Is it like with grid or how do you do it with a lasso?

I loved all the time and effort you've put into this. The character looks cute, and the animation is well done❤🩶🤍🩶🤍💜❤
I also sometimes first make the beginning frame and end frame of the segment (by segment, i mean 1 movement) but i think this is an entirely different method.
Great tutorial, lovely artstyle :)
Aa that's a nice method too ^^ Thank you! :3
person whose animated for 7+ years, a really nice and simple tutorial!
Well that's a long time! But thanks ^^
Thank you! I don't know a whole bunch about animation ((I've been practicing animation since I was 9)) but this helped! Now I can try to my series!^^

If you want to take a more cartoony approach at animating smoothly, try the squash and stretch technique!
That's a nice technique! ^^
2:09 press the copy button go onto a nother frame and click paste its quicker and easier and than just adjust it how ever you want!
AAAAA THANK YOU! This helped me out so much while I was making an animation meme!

It must be hard 4 u to animate this and also make a vid,
I feel bad for ur stress but its very good that you make tuts for ur followers!! Amazing, just amazing!!!!!! 😍😍😍😍😍 U inspire meeee pookie!

One thing I lack of animating, are characters I just lack any actual character idea to make so I just don't animate most of the time but practice the movement and this helped out a lot, thanks for dis tutorial!
Awh :< But as you said, you Practice the movement :3 You can like animate objects ^^ But glad this helped thank you! :3
this will help on fluids animation
here’s another tip if you want to fill in the white dots:
go to the paint button and double tap/click on it and on the very top it should say “60%” put it up to 99% and then it’ll look cleaner
Thanks for the tip! :3 Didn't know about this :0
Thx helped so much for my drawing skill..

No problem!! ^^ Good it helped :3
Heres a detail no one seems to be suggesting; USE KEYFRAMES. Keyframes are crucial in any frame by frame animation. You cant just do one frame and then the next frame aimlessly. After you do that, you have to draw the in-betweens, which will be harder for a higher fps animation.
And as for the ball, many professionals use a time chart. Thats how they organize the slow-ins and slow-outs of the animation between keyframes.
Aa thanks for the tip/detail! ^^ I don't really come to think about this, but I usually do a storyboard or whatever it's called :] It helps me alot! But I can try this tip on my next animation :]

This is pretty cool :o i'll just save this to my playlist just in case. Anyways here's a sub :3
Oo :D Glad this helped! Tysm for the sub!
WOAH! THANKS A LOT MAN! YOU DONT REALLY KNOW HOW MUCH I NEEDED THIS I SWEAR THANKS!!!!
Your drawing is amazing ❤ I love drawing to so I just wanted to say that your art is amazing and I love your art style❤❤❤
You should try out the pose to pose method, it really helped me in my animating journey! It’s basically where you draw all the main poses, space them out, and then add the inbetweens! (It makes it smooth again)
Oo yes! This method is familiar, but i haven't really used it :^ But thanks for the tip though! ^^
@@Lokifur Glad it helps!
What. In the fuck. It looks amazing!! Your art and animation skills are beautiful! I’ll try and study it, thank you!!!!!
Oo thanks!! ^^ I am glad this helped! :3

Btw heres a tip make all parts of drawing separated then you can use grid tool to move

thanks bro i started animation at 9 years old but quit due to school and some personal stuff and im trying to get into animation again to feel more connected with my ocs
Oo that's nice :D I am glad this video helped ^^
Finally, a recent tutorial! also i have a question, if the head goes up, does the body move down or also move along with the head?
Well, it can pretty much depend! The body can stretch within, or in the video the fur goes a bit up from the neck :] I think it would look better if the body does move up. If the character looks up, the neck can also go down. Also if it has fur it can go down. (Sorry if the explaining is a bit unclear) but i hope this helped somehow ^^ You can ask more questions if this was a bit unclear ;^;

smooth criminal
That's a good one! :D
easiest ways to make your character smooth use copy pasted frames🤓☝️
also for shading theres this really good feature called ultra lock or smt so to put it on you have to go on layers then the menu button on layers and equip ultra lock , basically it makes it so your characters can look 3d with the shading bc you can only draw on existing pixels so its the best shading setting paired with the airbrush
Yep! Its called alpha lock im sure but I use for alot of things! Very helpful tool (along with clipping mask) I used it alot when working on scenes for shows :) You gotta love the alpha lock
