I move over to a new Bible when I’m having difficulty finding open space to work through a devotional kit due to verses already being journaled or if the Bible is so full that it makes it difficult to work in. Everyone probably has their own criteria for when to move to a new one.

I use the We R Memory Keepers Planner Punch Board and there is a set of spiral punches that you can get as an add on to it. Looks like scrapbook.com has them currently.

Hello! I don’t really have an all encompassing video that addresses that but I can share a quick look into my process: 1. I first read…that might be a verse, a passage, a chapter, etc. This is usually directed by a devotional, study, or sermon. 2. I then like to look up commentary or study notes about what I’ve just read so that I can get a deeper understanding of the scripture. 3. After that time of study I usually have some things that have stuck out…maybe a quote from a commentary, a word that I studied more in depth, or just a phrase that sticks out to me. 4. This is where the creative part comes in. While creating I’m praying and/or meditating on what all I got out of my study time. The art is just a way to keep my hands busy and to help me stay focused on my study time. I’m a tactile person so the process of painting, stamping, cutting, etc. helps my brain to make connections to help memorize the verse or what it was that I pulled out of it. 5. I also like to include some prayer journaling which allows me to come back and see the different ways I was praying during different seasons of life but also how God has answered prayers over the years. Hope this gives you a little more insight into the “heart behind the art” 😉
Lindsey, how are you stamping versa fine Inc. on to the felicity Jane cardboard elements like the tags? I tried using my heat tool after stamping dates onto them last night and they still smudged and I ended up just wiping them off and then throwing the element away!
I try to use archival ink when I remember but if I use Versafine then I’m sure to heat set it really really wel and then blot any extra ink off with a scrap of paper.
Are the pages really thick? Just asking because i want to start journaling, but i'm worried the pens will bleed through. Do you have to use specific pens?
For me, it doesn't matter about covering the words or bleed through, I just use another bible if I need lol And my "reading/study" bible is on my phone or my bible that is meant to read (it has a reasonable font that I can actually read) LOL :)

I love your channel, you, and your work, and Illustrated Faith. LOVE LOVE LOVE......But, please tell me if you think that Bible is a little overpriced? For a hundred bucks? For a hundred bucks there should NOT be so much bleed through. It holds more water, but the bleed through is the same. I am not being negative just honest. You do Christian reviews and they should be honest. Which you are. Do you think it's worth really a HUNDRED DOLLARS? I DONT HAVE THAT KIND OF MONEY FOR A BiBLE, and most people don't....
I think there is so a wide price range out there for Bibles. My Zondervan study Bible was over $100 and it doesn’t have margins at all and has super thin paper. My Crossway journaling Bible is fairly inexpensive but has cream pages that are lined and only 2” margins. I do think this Bible is worth more since it’s specially designed for journaling.
Your work is beautiful and my following comment is not directed at you or anyone in particular. Be careful that the Bible doesn't just become another sketchbook to show off your art. Make sure it is still Bible study and journaling about the Bible and it's precepts; your thoughts on the Bible reading; and prayers. It is God's Word, not our sketchbook. God must be first, and magnified, rather than ourselves or our talents and skills. I'm not as artistic and have no art training so I realize many people have those talents and may learn better, and solidify what they learn in their own minds, by painting, drawing, etc. But don't let it become all about you and your art. I would imagine that could get to be a form of pride and taking away from what you should be learning rather than adding to your learning. Again, this is not meant as any criticism of you or anyone else. Each person knows their own heart, not me. Just trying to give a gentle caution to watch for that. I also do Bible journaling and draw little stick cartoons (I'm not an artist), etc. But it's all to aid my learning and getting it deeper in my heart, NOT a distraction from the Word or a point of pride. Thank you for sharing your beautiful work and I don't mean to offend anyone.
One could say the same thing about singing, playing the piano or other musical instrument, etc. We should use the skills that God has gave us for his glory and edification, and not be ashamed and hide these gifts because of comments made by others that we are just possibly showing off. Who do you think Gave these talented people those skills? Let’s not be critical or try to shame them for using them. God knows their hearts and will judge them accordingly, not You or I!!!!

What version/translation are the Bibles in? ive been searching for this information.
These are in the CSB translation and the individual books ( Luke and Psalms/Proverbs) are in the NIV translation.
