    Great Video and Works well so far, cannot believe this but the felt pad is such a stupid idea as I have been working on kyocera for over 20 years and this is the only machine which has caused endless problems as I have been only getting between 30 to 50k prints until it burns up... or starts jamming or giving repeated images etc.
    I used the HP G300 Grease and yes there was a little smoke for about the first 5 or 6 prints and also had a little smell for the first 20 prints or so but that was ok as I was still testing the fuser.
    Only printed a few hundred and all is OK.
    I now have 5 refurbished fuser units using this method and only time will tell buy I am very optimistic on this one. I have been a copier technician for 42 years and this method seems very positive to me as I have worked on toshiba, canon, kyocera, xerox, brother, Hp. etc in my past 42 years.
    Thanks. Tommy Raleigh.

For that fill it only lasts 50,000 copies and without that screen it will last the same? Le agradeceré su tespuesta

      It wont last long. That fuser grease will degrade and dry out. I have used Krytox which is like $550 AUD for an 8 oz tube. Again it lasted 2 months and was lucky to do 5000 pages. I have also used Uniflor 8172 same thing happened. My best results have been using a Fuji Xerox fuser oil and really soaking the old oil pad.

    he intentado reparar dos veces un fusor de Kyocera mod P2040dn, cambiándole cada vez la tela (dos modelos diferentes) y engrasando estas camisas con grasa especifica para fusores, de alta temperatura, en la segunda ocasión utilice aceite de silicona liquido (dos jeringas) y en ambas ocasiones que realice esta reparación, funciono, pero solo duro unas 4 o cinco semanas de uso, volveré a realizar este tipo de reparación, en esta ocasión sin la manta y engrasando con aceite liquido de silicona, pero estoy convencido que este tipo de fusor yocera es una "gran mierda"

    • @ccat342
      @ccat342 Год назад +1

      yes it's probably the reason for the jams. i personally prefer to replace the oil application pad, it's available and not expensive. the white plastic guide is not available to my knowledge. if you have a spare fuser you can use it, when the application pad gets dry you'll get the same problem though.

      @@GIMIKBG In my office park there are 20 P2040, 15 M2040, 19 M2540 and I'm f*****d of changing this s*** to 2040 about every 50-80K, and 2540 every 15-30K. )) I will conduct an experiment in the near future, when the fuser will once again start smearing and will definitely unsubscribe about the result later. I think - in half of year or a year. If someone doesn't do it earlier in this video. You have quite a fresh video, I think many devices have not yet collected enough copies for statistics. Anyway, thank you! P.S. I love Kyocera always, but 1370-2135 and all of this series of devices were the best of all time.)

      i do use chemplex 710 on hp and brother fusers. works fine so far. as the kyocera uses a heat lamp i would assume the fusing temperature is higher.
