Great Video and Works well so far, cannot believe this but the felt pad is such a stupid idea as I have been working on kyocera for over 20 years and this is the only machine which has caused endless problems as I have been only getting between 30 to 50k prints until it burns up... or starts jamming or giving repeated images etc. I used the HP G300 Grease and yes there was a little smoke for about the first 5 or 6 prints and also had a little smell for the first 20 prints or so but that was ok as I was still testing the fuser. Only printed a few hundred and all is OK. I now have 5 refurbished fuser units using this method and only time will tell buy I am very optimistic on this one. I have been a copier technician for 42 years and this method seems very positive to me as I have worked on toshiba, canon, kyocera, xerox, brother, Hp. etc in my past 42 years. Thanks. Tommy Raleigh.

It wont last long. That fuser grease will degrade and dry out. I have used Krytox which is like $550 AUD for an 8 oz tube. Again it lasted 2 months and was lucky to do 5000 pages. I have a M2540 and keeps jamming the paper everytime.. is the fuser the one causing it to jam? In your video you put grease on the fuser, I have an extra fuser can I just use it to replace instead of applying the grease?
yes it's probably the reason for the jams. i personally prefer to replace the oil application pad, it's available and not expensive. the white plastic guide is not available to my knowledge. if you have a spare fuser you can use it, when the application pad gets dry you'll get the same problem though.
@@GIMIKBG oh, thanks for the info. Didn't know that. I'll try without one. I also have one supplier where the pads are with a coating, not the cloth style. Haven't tested it though.

Hello, thanks for the video, could you tell me why after changing the fuser cylinder and the sheet, when I print I get the text repeated, thank you very much
bad quality replacement film sleeve or pressure roller resulting in too low fusing temperature, could sometimes be solved by taping the temperature sensors with one or two layers of capton tape, forcing the heating element to increase the fusing temperature. ;-)
Sounds comes from fixing while printing (like gears upset... Thak thak) in M2040 quocera... Some time paper stuck... What will be the possible reason please suggest...
You are on the right video. In the most cases of c6200 error in m2040dn printer is the fuser sleeve that i am removing here. Just follow the steps in the video, and it will work again. Hope you can get your printer working soon.
fuser oil needs a lubrication pad - if you remove the pad as instructed in the video, you must use grease - you could try re-lubing the pad or replacing the pad and lube with fuser oil
I couldn't find where to buy Electrolube FFL in the UK and I asked manufacturers directly and they said that this product is discontinued. Can someone suggest any good alternative. Prefer that company which is selling would be from UK or Europe.
Couldn't decide on what to use but read a forum post by someone who had used Super Lube synthetic grease so thought would give it a try. Used it on 4 machines a few days ago and all printing like new again with no jams, one having printed 500+ sheets. It does give a slight odour when printing but no smoke :) Cost £15 from Amazon for 85g tube which is probably enough for 50+ printers...
