Changed my factory 80 radio to a ATOTO unit. It would power on, the sound would work, but then all sound would turn off after a few seconds. I used the harness that connects to the two grey connectors, not the single white one. What fixed it was disconnecting the factor amp behind the glove box. This video helped a lot, thanks! Hope you're still enjoying the 80
I had originally purchased the 80 series with the idea that it would pull a camper someday. I got a camper but the 80 series wasn't great at towing. I ended up getting a 100 series which is a little better at towing (although not perfect). I still kept the 80 series because I love driving it. It's like driving a brick.
Rick, Very Nice fit !! I’m curious if, when you were looking for the radio, one of the specific requirements was height and width? Because it almost fit in the space like it was made for that vehicle! Looks like a factory install. I’d go to that particular vehicles online forum and link to this set of videos. I’m sure others would like to upgrade their radios to have all the new features you now have!
The Radio is sized to a Double DIN slot which is standard across pretty much all makes. Some older vehicles will only have single DIN slots (which is half the height but the same width).

To bypass the factory amp is simply to unplug the wiring to and from it? And are all the speakers working by doing this?
Rick any chance you could address this question? didn't even realize these came with factory amps.

I'm really interested in your progress and how cheap this radio is. Are you planning to do a review after you've had it installed for a while?
Yes. I'm going to try to make a list of things I like and dislike about it over the next few weeks.
How do you fight glare? Mine is super bad with glare even with the anti glare film
I haven't figured out how to fight glare. I also have glare issues on the built in screen in my Subaru Outback.
شكرا👍
