Great translator! I'm portuguese and most of the times, brasilian translators only get 20% of the statment right. This guy is on another level. Really impressive!
I am so happy to see so many comments from people empathizing and showing support for Charles Oliveira. Charles Oliveira is a true champion in every sense of the word. My heart breaks for him but he puts it in gods hands and he seems to be focused regardless of what happened.
I'd root for Gaethje if it were an even playing field, if the UFC wasn't trying to sabotage Oliveira. Gaethje is popular and very exciting. Oliveira earned the championship, more so than any of his predecessors, he's an incredible warrior.
The UFC and Dana White doesn’t want Charles as a Champion or at least they want Justin to rule the division. They been trying to sabotage and mess up with Charles mind prior his fight with Gaethje similar to when Francis had his bout against Gane
I hope the majority of fans get behind this man if he wins because this whole thing seems sketchy AF!! I’m hearing apparently multiple fighters complained the ufc scales in the back were not correctly calibrated to hearing Olivera say he stripped down and the weight didn’t move at all to how very conveniently this “situation” lines up quite perfectly for a Mcgregor comeback fight for a now vacant title… Shxt just isn’t adding up
There’s literally zero shade here hahaha.. Use the same scales for world and European powerlifting comps and there was nothing done wrong… He will win and then get his belt back the next fight, as he said these things happen
@@killiancarolan4781 so you think the scale is always accurate and never needs calibrated? Gullible explain how he weighed the same after taking his briefs off
He has a point. He went away for an hour after coming in overweight according to the first weigh in and weighs the exact same the second time. Something fishy is going on there.
Charles is still the champion. The scale was off according to a ton of people who have analyzed it. 19 fighters were over there typical weight by .5 during these weigh ins
Well he was 1 pound over than lost .5 only. He knew from the first weigh in he needed to cut 1 pound regardless if the scale was off or not. Maybe it was .5 he only needed to cut so he would have made it but he wouldn't have known that he only would have known about the full pound. He makes weight if it wasn't a title fight.
@@johngreen7726 he was 1 pound over ? I remember it said 155 1/2 the first time he weighed in... and he came back weighing the exact same which is kinda sus so maybe the scale is messed up or maybe the way he was standing affected it
I'm glad to see that Charles is still fired up and feels he is still the champ. I was worried he would feel there is nothing to fight for, but I think he's going to go out there to prove the point, maybe even more so than before
This is honestly crazy. He has been in lightweight now for a while and never missed weight before this. Featherweight is a whole other discussion because even as a 20 year old he was still way too big for that division. They have to look at the scale.
True, supposedly there is a rumor that the scale was slightly off, even still though it could have something to do with him getting older, as it gets harder to cut weight with age, hence in your 20s it would be easier than mid to late 30s.
Tony literally bounced on the scale and it was slamming back and forth. Tony should have been fined heavily for actually trying to ruin the scale. Obviously slamming a scale around isn't good for it's accuracy. But also, I don't think blaming the scale in the back room is really a valid excuse. I like Charles a lot. But he has missed weight on 4 other occassions, and he did get a 2nd chance to make the weight. What was the reason he missed weight on the 2nd attempt?
"The champion has a name, his name is Charles oliveira." from now on, this translator must remain joint to the hip of Charles, everywhere he goes. And he must announce before and after every sentence. "the champion has a name. His name is Charles Oliveira.
Exactly, except for the Khabib fanboys that are happy that his title reign will be "officially" saved but we all know the truth. There's only one Champion and his name is Charles Do Bronx Oliveira.
It is only tough if there are people who speak the language being translated in the audience. Otherwise you can say what you want and it can be quite easy... lol

It is kinda sus that this happened. Can't imagine my dude risking anything at this level. Not after everything he's been thru & done to get to this point. Hope they investigate to get him a fair trial cuz it blows to lose ppv points & all if he really was on weight.

Anyone else watch these just to see how accurate the translators are? Hats off to this gentleman not only was what he was saying very accurate but he also was engaging and listening while nodding as if he were the one asking the questions and on top of that even remembered paragraphs at a time. Good man
He would have no reason to lie. Gaethje gained 10 kilos while olievera was still trying to make weight for the 2nd time. Gaethje posted it on twitter n if Charles intended to miss weight on purpose it wouldn't be by 0.5lbs.. What advantage would that give him seeing as justin had already gained back 10 kilos while olievera was still trying to cut the 0.5 lbs. Also he has never missed weight once since moving up to lightweight from featherweight.
@@curated_euphoria_experience That is just wrong. Gaethje only cut 13 pounds in total to make weight. He sure didnt add on another 7 on top of that in less than 1 hour of making weight.
I don’t think it means much. Let’s look at this the right way. Even if he wasn’t stripped he still needed to win to keep the belt. .. so let’s assume he wins. The belt is still vacant until he fights the next guy. And if he wins the next guy the belt is his again. Nothing has changed except maybe as a champ your purse is in the millions.
I see the growth. Regardless this is a heartbreaking situation.. especially since it really doesn’t even matter anymore and the commission will not admit it’s mistakes if there was one. Bro been so humble and grateful since becoming champ. I can’t fathom that he and his camp would mess this up this way. Even with his history with missing weight in the past this just seems unbelievable to me.
It was a matter of the UFC giving them a faulty weight to control his weight loss.... it seems that it was 300g difference... so when he found out about that by the commissioner was too late.
I have never wanted Charles to win a fight more. Gaethje had this ideology all along that Charles is a quitter and he has a reason to believe it even more now.
thats because he quit cutting weight thursday and admitted it justin was right he looks for a way out when he knows he is beat justin didnt give him the out for one reason and thats to knock him down to 155
I really hope that Charles can still pull off the win. One of my absolute favourite fighters in the UFC. If it was an issue with the scale, that cannot happen. Either way though, it would have been nice to hear him take a bit more responsibility. Hope that this doesn't affect him, either mentally or from a tough weight cut.

Casey Oneils twitter my guy, she was in the back when he made weight twice and then he went out and missed by .5

Why ? They set up that to vacate the title, we know for who.
The scales are riged
Tony literally bounced on the scale and it was slamming back and forth. Tony should have been fined heavily for actually trying to ruin the scale. Obviously slamming a scale around isn't good for it's accuracy. But also, I don't think blaming the scale in the back room is really a valid excuse. I like Charles a lot. But he has missed weight on 4 other occassions, and he did get a 2nd chance to make the weight. What was the reason he missed weight on the 2nd attempt?
