So he can blame Bill or Steffy all he wants but at the end of the day, they didnt make him fall for Steffy. They didnt make him propose to Steffy and they didnt make him marry Steffy. He chose to do those things all on his own. If he really loved Hope like he claimed, he would have never let Steffy get close in the 1st place

You realize you can say the same thing about Steffy, right? You could easily say: “if Liam loved Steffy the way she says he does, no other woman could have come between them.” What you’re missing is that Liam only ever chose Steffy out of obligation (marriage, pregnancy). He NEVER needed a reason to go back to Hope b/c his love for Hope was never contingent on obligation, it just was and existed whether he was married to her or not, whether she was pregnant or not.

I was really mad about this triangle because all the other characters got pushed to the side or written out, at least with Brooke vs Taylor in the 90s the other characters still have plenty of story and screen time.
Also to do the same story as their mothers is so boring! If they were going to do a triangle why not do it between Hope/Liam/Aly. Hope and Steffy could have broke the cycle of Forrester vs Logan and bonded as sisters.
Exactly, this is around the year B&B started going downhill fast. They only focused on the second generation of Forresters, Logans & Spencers and the main, original characters became B storylines. Just awful.
If I'm being honest, I skipped over a lot of the storylines that have been uploaded on the B&B channel from season 6-10. A lot of the stuff with the Spectra characters were fine, but then there was Felicia and her boyfriends, the Bikini crew, Macy and Thorne's relationship, none of that was interesting. I think the show's critics said the same, so now Brad Bell's solution was to focus storylines on one or two things happening at a time rather than other characters breathing.

One of the things that B&B gets right is how adult children take on the personality traits of their elders. I'm really happy with how Hope and Steffy are being written right now. They both have matured. Liam - the jury's still out. Liam is often compared to Ridge but if you ask me he's most like Brooke. He never means to hurt the women in his life but he does repeatedly and they and everyone else always forgives him with minimal self-reflection time.
