I had a doctor tell us that all of his patients being treated for Covid symptoms when tested prove to be very low in Vitamin D3. So he recommended 5000 to 10000 I.U. per day. It's been two years and my blood testing shows I'm slightly above the target range.

Something to consider is how the target ranges are created. According to Dr. Lustig, these blood test ranges change over time because they are simply an average of the test results from a wide range of people over a relatively short period of time. Dr. Lustig said the target range of the A1C test for insulin resistance is today 40, but in the early 70s, it was 15. That indicates there are many more of us who are insulin-resistant than there were five decades ago! My personal example is testosterone. My last blood test indicated my testosterone hormone was average for my age. I'm 76 and don't want to be average for my age! There is a distinct difference between health and the health of the average man my age.
