The AVENIO Edge System extends the throughput of NGS sample analysis at Queen’s University Belfast

The AVENIO Edge Liquid Handling System extends the throughput and capacity at the Queen’s University Belfast Genomics Center of Excellence by enabling 24/7 NGS library preparation. Combined with the simple plug-and-play format of the barcoded reagents, this capability reduces pressure on the laboratory team while also improving reliability and reproducibility of the data. Here, faculty at the Center describe how these features enabled them to clear the sample backlog that had accumulated during the COVID-19 shutdown.
