You can't exactly measure a dps through sheer stats and judge how good they are on a tier list with just winrate. A tier list is about how generally capable a character is, not their winrate throughout the player base. Cass has a really high skill ceiling, so characters like soldier are going to perform better because generally, their abilities are a lot better for survival and/or pure damage while Cassidy is a character where if you don't hit shots, you don't do ANYTHING. Similar to widow in the sense that, if you aren't getting picks or doing massive burst damage, then you need to swap to something easier or something better fitting your playstyle. Just be wary of all these tier listers and their OPINIONS on how a character is performing, regardless of their rank, because you ain't in t500 and neither are the other thousands that play this game.

@@bismuth7730 There is a difference between the strength of a character and the performance of players playing said character. You have to evaluate strength on a tier list based off of the maximum potential something has, not how well the THOUSANDS of people play it. Dude, just think about it, really think about it before you type off an auto response. How many people in every rank click cass or widow because the character is just plain old fun? So, so many including myself love the feeling of headshot and big burst off of accuracy SPIKES. Now you take someone who is very competent at cass and someone who is very competent at let's say soldier (who has a very solid winrate in all ranks,) the cass will win in a vacuum MOST of the time. It's just plain facts that Cassidy should be one of the best characters if you can manage to click on heads or even just land 6 shots in a row CONSISTENTLY. And almost everyone that plays him is not consistent because they are not aim Gods and rely on a characters ABILITIES. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not dying on the Cassidy hill, but a Cass player that is going demon time is gonna have more impact in team fights than a soldier, reaper, torbjorn, and all that. And that's why a character is good, because they can be insane in the hands of the right player, which is more impressive than a soldier/sojourn or mei holding left click down and then spamming their good abilities
