My mom says that she didn't have a washing machine back then they had hands which they used water and some old none useful stuff to make it smell good then they had to go outside and use a long string to dry off the clothes 😲. I Really did not think that it was true. After that we went to my home country and I wasn't expecting it to be true.I feel bad for my country
I too just bought a new 2024 LG washer and dryer, I’m not impressed. All I want is to throw my clothes in and press a cycle period! Plus there is no small load option , or is there?
Wow! Wish I had found this video when I first got my washer. Watched it once. Then a second time to take notes. And a third time to make sure I hadn’t missed anything. And finally sent the link to others I know with an LG top loader. My biggest complaint for the 3 years I’ve had it was too little water. Will be trying out the speedwash + turbo cycle. I do have an issue that the cycle wheel stays all lit up and doesn’t let me pick a cycle for several spins around until it finally works. Sounds like an expensive fix so will be gentle with the dial and as long as it eventually lets me choose a cycle I’ll not call repairman. Someone else mentioned this issue in the comments section so guess I’m not alone. Again - Thanks for great video.
I watched your first video before buying the same model years ago. I came to the same conclusions concerning Heavy Duty vs. Normal cycles. Didn't know about the Speed cycle though! Thanks for your help!
We just got a new LG washer and dryer for our newly purchased home. I was really concerned about the water level on the normal wash cycle. Thank you for explaining everything.
Wow, you are ideal when it comes to learning about my washer. After I found a basic fabric shower curtain did not wash well on normal cycle (ran twice), I came to RUclips and found your video. I took notes and plan on putting those notes up beside my machines. Any way you could do one for the matching dryers DLEX7250W? Well done!
Glad the video was helpful! Shower curtains can be tricky. Fabric shower curtains and plastic shower liners are best washed using the Waterproof cycle. It’s helpful to put a bath towel on top to keep them from floating. I’ve also washed a fabric shower curtain using SpeedWash with decent results, but ultimately Waterproof is best. More videos to come so stay tuned. 😃 Regarding the dryer, we didn’t get the matching dryer because our Whirlpool dryer from the 70’s had to be replaced a year earlier. Sorry!
Great video. Two questions: do you ever have leftover water in detergent tray? And what is the proper speed of the water when filling the tub? Mine seems to drool in. Would love to see a quick video of a normal filling speed. Checked hoses, filters etc and the machine is level.
Occasionally water does remain in the detergent tray after a cycle is complete. It’s perfectly normal. Be sure to pull the tray out and leave the lid up so the tub can dry out. As far as water filling slowly, ours only fills slowly if someone is using water elsewhere in the house because while we have good water pressure, we have low water volume. I have a bunch of full cycle videos posted that you should be able to see tub fills (there should be links in the video’s description). Looks like you did a bunch of solid troubleshooting. Perhaps try flushing the hot and cold water lines into a bucket to see if the issue is before the water inlets of the washer.
I have a LG washing machine, new back in 2021 from the store. tonight, i washed a shower curtain, and after cycle was done, I went to take shower curtain out of the washing machine, for the dryer but part of the curtain is stuck in/under the agitator. Any tricks/tips on how to get it out? i have tugged and tried to twist it out, but nothing worked. thanks
I recently purchased an LG #WT6105CW Washer & Dryer set. It's been sitting there because even with the instruction pamplet I still felt totally confused. But, then I discovered your video and I am so thankful for your demo and all the info you shared in how to operate the washing machine and set various cycle settings for best performance! Now I can finally and confidently wash my clothes with joy!!! :)
Thank you for this helpful video! We were ready to send our washer back to Costco and I am excited to try your tips. :) can you let me know how much detergent you use? Thank you!
Glad it was helpful. As far as how much detergent to use, I use liquid detergents. For greater than 1/2 a tub of clothes I fill to the 1 marker on the cap. For 1/2 tub or less, I use half that. Less is more with these high efficiency machines especially where less water is being used and detergents are pretty concentrated. A good indicator of using too much detergent is if you see lots of suds during the wash cycle. Suds should be minimal. Hope that helps!
Thanks for taking the time to make this video. We just upgraded from a very very old Whirlpool that bit the dust. I was overwhelmed at all of the options so I really appreciate the breakdown!! Thank you!!
I'm a repair man you should not be giving out advice in using a washer when you are filling it that full. You should only be loading about half capacity with normal clothes ie shirts, underwear and pants. If washing towels only do 6 or 7 at a time and only the towels. If you have blankets or dog bedding, take it to the laundromat and abuse the washers there. Follow this advice or be giving a repair man a call in 3 to 5 years
Thank you for sharing that helpful information. Much of what I share, including load size, is consistent with the manual. The only variation from the manual that I mention is using SpeedWash for small to medium loads. I rarely do mixed loads and I always wash towels separately… and usually no more than 5-6. Lots of good info. Thanks again.
@@verbodendragon why is that? Can it not handle it? I thought comforters are harder to clean with an agitator. We used to own a Laundromat and had Dexter's
@joshuajay2886 the dampers I feel are Is intentionally designed like crap And if you're washing things like comforters, a lot of towels, dog bedding, or big loads, they go out after three years
Ha! Glad the video was helpful and yes you can remove the entire detergent tray and all the cups. I demonstrate how to do it in this video: How To Remove Lint, Detergent Residue Stains, Tub Odor, and Sour Laundry Smells - LG Washer WT7300 ruclips.net/video/oxJvQqr9P6w/видео.html
Thanks for the tips, Bruce! We have owned the larger 7800 for about 2 years... We've been using normal for the most part (sans bedding and waterproof garments) with decent luck, but happy to see the results with your tips! I'm assuming this can apply for our washer even though you didn't mention it in the beginning? Also, the baking soda tip is a no-brainer and we'll be doing that from now on. Keep the LG videos coming!
Very welcome! Glad the info is helpful! My guess is the tips will apply to the 7800 and others. The reason I don’t mention models like the 7800 is they have more options on the dial. The cycles that are the same as the 7300 are likely to operate the same as I’ve demonstrated. 😃👍
Nice work Bruce! As a marketing guy I'd say LG owes you a fancy water/dryer set at a minimum. Their videos are barebones and not close to being as useful as yours.
Owned LG for years before finding this. Godsend. Hope you come out with simple op chart for this. Finally figured out how to use this convoluted washing machine.
Very good info that you pointed out. Just got a LG returned a new Maytag. LG is top-of-the-line. Compared to Maytag. Just wanted to point out. The normal cycle is useless on the LG might as well not use any water ridiculous water level. I always use deep cycle. Thanks again.
I wish you'd done one on the WT6105CW top load w/agitator. I too am ready to toss it out the door but it's brand new. 😞 I have found Deep Wash is the only way to get it to fill the tub on a full load. Other blogs have mentioned putting in some of the clothes already wet to trick the weight sensor, but that's extra work that I didn't want to have to do with a brand new washing machine. My lesson learned is never buy a washing machine that doesn't allow you to set the water level. My old GE washer was much better.
Thank you. This is so helpful. It would have taken me many, many trials, tests and rewashes to figure out the best combination of options. I was experiencing buyer's remorse but have since discovered this is a great washer. Spin cycle is fabulous. Stay away from Normal!
This is fantastic, thank you for this video. I got the WT7400C and it's dryer version for $1417 after taxes thanks to deals, but was concerned with some of the reviews complaining about "low water levels" Seeing your suggestion about the heavy duty + turbo wash puts my mind at ease, as I didn't want to just use the "deep fill" every single time. Seeing it actually in action puts my mind at ease! This is literally the only video on this model I can find that gives this kind of a rundown.
Glad to know the video is helpful. We find the washer works well for us and there are work arounds for the low water level of the Normal cycle (Other cycles use plenty of water). Most folks think more water means better performance, but it’s a balance. Too much water just causes things to float and reduces turnover. The best performance occurs when there’s just enough water to barely cover the clothes. I hope you enjoy the new machines. 😃
My new LG washer did not add enough water to my blue jeans being washed. Then after spinning the clothes we’re to wet. I tried the spin only cycle and had to hold the Spin Button for 3 seconds before it turned on. I had to find a youtube video to learn how to do that. Very disappointed in my new washer. 😢 Their instructions booklet does not explain enough about the machine.
@@SuzieqNC2606 I've owned this for about 8 months. I found the magic formula is heavy duty plus deep fill with a single tap plus turbo wash plus extra rinse. It works perfectly to add enough water without overdoing it and getting everything clean.
@@larkins621Thank you! Trying to learn how to select the deep fill option. If I knew this washer would be so hard to understand, I would never bought it. My old LG Washer was nothing like this one.
We have a few grades above this washing machine. It is completely rusted everywhere! We have never, not once, used bleach. We have no idea why our machine has corroded over the years. Old washing machines lasted forever. I think my family had the same washing machine from the time I was born until I graduated high school. What is up with spending thousands of dollars on a washing machine just to have it rust and corrode.
Wow! That’s terrible. When I went under the hood of mine I was surprised to find some minor surface rust along edges where the paint had flaked off the outer case. It’s really sad (and wasteful) that things aren’t well made anymore. My folks still have a washer from the early 80’s.
I have a new LG washer with an agitator, but your advice about what cycles to choose has really helped me so much. I tried washing an average load on normal and it looked like to me that there was not enough water in the tub. Next time I'm using the fast cyles as my clothes don't usually get very dirty. Thanks so much !!!
Hopefully you can answer my question. I just got a .l.G top loader 3days ago. So far I not happy. I but my King size matters pad in put the cycle on bedding when I went to take it out was still dripping wet. Can you plz tell me why I would appreciate it. I had a L.G front loaded for 16yrs and I loved it. So I decided to try this machine. So far not happy can you plz help Thank you
If your mattress pad has a waterproof membrane, it’s difficult for the water to escape during the spin segment. Once the Bedding cycle is complete, often times I’ll turn the cover inside out and run a SPIN Only cycle using a medium spin speed.
I have found "normal" cycle to be almost completely useless. Tiny loads only, and cold water else it suds up way too much even with minimal soap. Very frustrating. I use Deep for almost everything. Another major complaint is this stupid agitator-spinning-with-tub cycle it wastes time on; I think it's to ensure clothes are saturated that may get stuck above water...but... it's rarely useful or needed. Will likely try a different brand next time, the tub spin wastes too much time that I don't have to spare.
I just bought my washer and dryer. I only fill mine half way and it moves really slow motion. And the same clothing stay on top either something is wrong with the machine or I’m doing something wrong. Help I’m wondering if I should have gotten it with the agitator?
@@deborahgreen6795 I do sometimes wonder if an agitator would make a difference when it comes to clothes floating; however, what I can tell you with this machine is that using too much water will cause items to float, which results in poor wash performance. Selecting the correct cycle is the key with this machine and I recommend avoiding WaterPlus unless you’re washing things that are very absorbent (ie, a fluffy cotton blanket or towels). As far as slow movements, I recommend reviewing some of my cycle videos to see if your washer is functioning similarly or at least try a SpeedWash and watch the cycle all the way through. Hope that helps!
We found your video very helpful. We been using our LG for probably 3 years, but have never been thrilled with its performance. Your tip to use the "heavy duty" wash with "turbo cycle" seems just right for just about all loads. Thanks Again !!
Thank you for this video. Really appreciate the time you took to explain this to me. I have just realized I have been using my washing machine WRONG!!!!. Thank you so much...
I think it’s just the machine changing gears or engaging something, but I’ll have to investigate further. Mine does it too. The sound is originating from somewhere under the tub.
I am a cold wash person....but can not figure out how to program the cold wash for anything but the normal cycle. Can you help? Did like the tutorial! Thank you!!!
The ColdWash feature is only available when selecting one of the following cycles: NORMAL, BEDDING, or SMALL LOAD (default on download position of the dial). If you want to wash clothes in cold water, you can always just select any cycle and change the water temperature to Cold or Tap Cold using the Temp. button. As I mentioned in the video, I don’t use the ColdWash feature because it runs for too long and uses a lot of energy. When I want to use cold water for the wash cycle, I just change the water temp. Hope that helps!
Hi Bruce, thank you so much for the tips. I just bought a new top load LG and I have a question regarding the clorox dispenser. Does the clorox dispenser holds the clorox liquid like the softener or detergent? I noticed that the clorox goes down as I pour is this normal?
Glad the tips were helpful! The bleach dispenser does not hold the bleach. The hole in the bleach cub is either outside the rim of the stainless tub or there is a small hose underneath the cup that runs down to the cavity below the tub so that the bleach is partially diluted before it comes in contact with clothes. Either way, what you’re experiencing is normal. 😃
Hi Bruce, can you tell me if there is an option to soak the laundry over night with the machine ? My wife and I are using washable diaper and we would like to make them soak overnight sometime with the appropriate detergent... Instead of using the bath to do so we were hoping to use the washer... So far I was not able to find an option that would let us do it... the closest thing I could do was start a cycle, add water plus, wait for the tub to be filled and press the pause button but the machine auto empty after 15-20 minutes...
As you pointed out, the machine will drain the tub after a brief period of inactivity. It’s a safety feature to prevent the possibility of flooding your home. I’ve previously experimented to try and come up with an overnight soak, but was unsuccessful. As far as I know, there is nothing other than the SOAK option and prewash+Normal on the machine. As far as Downloadable cycles I thought there used to be a diapers cycle, but the closest cycles I see are for Baby Bibs, Children’s Wear, and Juice and Food Stains. The thing I’ve done before to create a mock ‘soak and hand wash’ is to choose a long running cycle like heavy duty or Children’s Wear (turn off TurboWash) add the SOAK option and an extra rinse. That will at least provide 2+ hours of wetness. Unfortunately, it will also waste a fair amount of water and electricity.
Turn on the machine to your prefered cycle and let the machine start washing for just a few minutes. This will agitate the clothes with the detergent. Then I pause the machine and unplug from the outlet. When I finish soaking I plug it back and select my preferred cycle and it starts washing again. I do the soaking in the day hours just in case there would be a leak.
Sorry, but what settings would I use if I wanted the most water and a tub fill-up for the rinse, for regular everyday clothes? I'm really not understanding this. Do you know at how many minutes left on the cycle, would the washer go from the wash setting to the rinse setting? Thanks in advance.
If you want to use a lot of water to wash “everyday clothes” and then rinse with a “fill-the-tub-style” rinse you have a few options. Option (1): Use the NORMAL cycle, but turn off the TurboWash option; Option (2): Use the HEAVY DUTY cycle and change the Soil Level to Normal; Option (3) Use the DEEP WASH cycle. If you want to add additional water to the wash segment for any of the three options above, which shouldn’t be necessary, you could also select the WaterPlus option. Just keep in mind that selecting the WaterPlus option with the NORMAL cycle (option 1 above), will automatically change the cycle to DEEP WASH (option 3 above). As far as the amount of time each cycle will take to go from the wash to rinse segment, it will depend on load size. Hope that helps!
Thank you for the video. I just got the WT7400C. For my 1st load I used the speed wash cycle, but it wrinkled all shirts and t. Shirts. Any tips to avoid wrinkling shirts?
Wrinkles in cotton t-shirts is pretty normal and they usually come out when the clothes are put into the dryer. If you air dry clothes, you can place them flat to dry, or place them flat, hand iron while still damp, and then hang them up to dry. To avoid wrinkles in anything (t-shirts, dress shirts) you can use the Delicates cycle for small loads and change the soil level to Normal... just keep in mind you're limited on spin speed so things will take longer to dry. Deep Wash is another option since it uses a little more water and doesn't use TurboWash for the rinse segment.
Help!!!! Power outage due to storms I was in the middle of a wash, of course it died ! I had to run cycle again because of outage. Then power came on why do I have to start wash #3 with same load
Sorry to hear about the storm. I believe if power goes out and you’re in the middle of a load it’s similar to pulling the plug, which would mean the washer picks up where it left off. Was that not the case?
This is a fantastic video. I just ordered a new LG 7900 washer that should be arriving shortly. I am looking forward to trying out your tips and tricks on the new machine. Your video will certainly help accelerate me through the learning curve. My 25 year old Kitchen Aid died this week (RIP 2023) and I hope the LG is a good replacement.
Most of the tips will apply to the WT7900; however, you will have options and functions on the dial that my model doesn’t have (for example, Steam, Sanitary, Allergiene, Bright Whites, Permanent Press). My tips will apply to the comparable cycles though (Normal, Deep Wash, Heavy Duty, Bedding, Waterproof, Delicates, SpeedWash). I noticed the WT7900 was/is on sale during the holidays and for under
@@brigitas9176 It's decent. I like the old style washers better. I think the old style washers clean better. The modern machines, like LG, take longer to launder. I like the capacity (however I kept my old dryer, so I can really only do half loads).
Thank you so much for this video. I just bought this machine a few weeks ago and I was about to return it because I didn't think it was actually washing my clothes. Turbo Wash is what I need to start using when I wash now. Thanks for the tip!
Surprisingly, this machine does not have a lint filter or at least not an accessible one. I had the same question when we first got the machine and I called LG about it. They said there is no lint filter to clean, but to occasionally clean the water intake filters. Go figure!
Hi. New 7400 delivered this morning. (started with normal, warm, high spin x 3 loads). Wash cycle last 42-44 mins each. Whee long time. Most concern--- Mystified by rinse cycle. Jets do spray while drum spinning. This takes about 2 mins. Then light moves onto spin for the next 8-10 mins. Clothes not soapy when removed, but can't believe these jet method actually works. Any suggestions?
If your clothes aren’t coming out soapy, you should be good. When the TurboWash option is selected the cycle will use the sprayer for rinsing. If the TurboWash’s rinse isn’t thorough enough you can 1) add an extra rinse in which case the extra rinse will be a fill-the-tub style rinse; 2) Select cycles that don’t use TurboWash; or 3) Turn off TurboWash if it is a cycle’s default (you can only do this before starting a cycle). Regarding wash times, if the 7400 is like the 7300. Smaller loads will perform better and take less time. Have you tried SpeedWash?
it's 2024 we need a 2 in 1 combo converter washing machine and dryer same time on the side of the machines are the heating vents and convert into water tubes ! 💡 💡
Sounds awesome! Sign me up! They do have front loading washer/dryer combos that dry the clothes using centrifugal force (no heat), but it takes like 4 hours to dry.
I purchased this washer model last year. Thanks for explaining the various cycles and how best to use them. I had been using the bedding cycle for one set of sheets, and it used way too much water. I will now use the speed wash cycle going forward thanks to your helpful and informative video.
Thank you. I called to replace my machine before I really gave this video a chance. They coming tomorrow to switch out the machine 🤦🏻♀️ well I guess now I know its not broken. I'll make cue cards for the kids after this video 😂. I have the one with the agitator but the pillows won't stay down they float. Ugh. Well time to try and fall in love with this machine. Thanks
I hear you. Whether they have an agitator or impeller (aka, wash plate), top loaders can be tricky when it comes to bulky items that float. Sometimes I'll throw a towel on top to keep things down and even then it's not perfect. Unlike front loaders, at least you can pause the cycle and intervene when necessary.
Very helpfull! I was so disapointed with my normal cycle, have been using gentle with warm water and saw a big difference. Now I will try speed wash. What do you think of scented beads?
Glad the video was helpful! …and thank you for the SuperThanks! Definitely try SpeedWash. I’ve never tried scented beads, I’ll definitely look into it. Thanks again.
How do you bypass the "sensing" done by the machine? I put in a NORMAL cycle, time displayed was 71 mins, then it did its own sensing /calibration and brought it down to 49 minutes. Can this be bypassed or shut off? Thank You
Unfortunately you cannot bypass the sensing segment. It’s pretty common for the estimated time to decrease following the sensing segment given the estimate is likely based on a full load… although I don’t recommend ever filling the tub to capacity since turnover will suffer as a result.
My model doesn't seem to have the turbo wash option. Not sure of the model, but it looks like yours and was purchased in 2021. Is my model too old to have that feature?
I got the washer at the beginning of 2017 so you likely have the newer model with the “TurboDrum” (another trademarked buzzword). My guess would be that your machine functions very similarly and depending on the cycle you choose it automatically uses something similar to TurboWash. I don’t know for sure though, but if you watch a few of my wash cycle videos where TurboWash is used and notice similar performance you’ll know for sure.
Glad the tips are helpful! We don’t have the matching dryer because we replaced our 1970’s Whirlpool dryer (it had fake wood trim) a few years earlier. Sorry!
My roommate had this washing machine and I hated it. It's ridiculous that the "normal" cycle is awful and doesn't clean very well. I prefer machines that have a button where you can control the water level.
I hear you! Water is the key. Too much and the clothes float. Too little and clothes don’t get properly washed. And the only option for adding more water is using the WaterPlus option, which you should only select if the items are thick cottons that act like giant sponges.
Finding water in the detergent and fabric softener tray is normal so it’s important to pull out the tray and keep the lid open when the machine is not in use to avoid mold and mildew.
You can treat it like any other powdered detergent so remove the blue liner from the right side of the detergent tray/drawer and add it there. Making your own soap is pretty cool. I’d love to know how to do it… you should make a video. 😁
@BruceAlanR Thanks for replying so fast. I just started to make it so the jury is still out. I found this online: 1.5 cups sodium bicarbonate(pure baking soda) 1.5 cups sodium carbonate(washing soda) 1/4 Cup Sea Salt 1/2 CUP Epsolm Salt 20 drops of favorite essential oil Regular soap was too harsh, developed rash. Was using gentler soaps. They helped somewhat. So I'm going old school. Hoping this cuts down on excess chemicals
Glad you enjoyed the video. This washer doesn’t have a filter. I had the same question when we first got the machine and even reached out to LG about it. They confirmed there’s no filter and that everything gets pumped out with the rinse water.
You must have accidentally turned off the signal. Press the SIGNAL button a few times, which will turn it back on and adjust volume (pressing the button cycles through something like OFF-> On low-> On med-> On high-> OFF). Be sure not to hold the SIGNAL button for more than 3 seconds or you’ll turn on the control lock (CL, aka, child lock), which locks the display. Of course if you do, you can just press and hold the SIGNAL button again for 3 seconds to turn CL off.
Thanks for providing useful information. I have a problem with LG washing machine. There are so many stains especially on black colour clothes after washing. They are full of white stains and smell bad. I hand wash those again and put in Washing Machine to drain the water. Is there any solution of this issue?
For starters, I recommend running a tub clean cycle to see if that solves both issues, but there are really two things happening here… white stains on dark clothes and those dreaded odors. Let’s start with the lint/stains: In my experience, we get white “stains” (either lint or soap residue or both) on black clothing when (A) A lint producing item (sock, towel) was accidentally included in the load; (B) A water repellent or sweat wicking item was included in the load, which prevented lint from escaping in the rinse water; (C) The previous load was heavy lint-producing items (cottons), but some of the lint was not completely rinsed from the tub (again usually due to a sweat wicking item); (D) I left a tissue in a pocket (aka, the exploding Kleenex); and/or (E) I used too much detergent. My solution to remove white stains/lint is to run a Rinse & Spin cycle (use this if the “stains” are from detergent) followed by placing the garments into the dryer with a dryer sheet for 30 minutes on the “Air Dry” cycle. That will remove lint and exploding tissues. Air Dry doesn’t use heat, but if you don’t have that feature on your dryer just use the lowest heat option. Odors can occur for a few reasons, but they’re a bit tricky to deal with. If your washer has an odor that is transferring to the clothes, run a tub clean cycle (or two) using a washing machine cleaner (Afresh, Tide Washing Machine cleaner, or another brand of washing machine cleaner… I’ve found just using bleach or white vinegar doesn’t work as well), then wipe clean the surrounding areas inside the tub (if you see mold or mildew anywhere like the detergent tray wipe with diluted bleach or white vinegar). Most importantly, be sure you’re leaving the lid up and detergent tray pulled out when the machine is not in use. Leaving the lid up and tray pulled out allows the tub to dry and will prevent future odors. If your washer is located in a damp or humid environment, it can be hard for the tub to completely dry out. Our washer lives in the basement, which is damp during summer. To conquer moisture I run a dehumidifier to keep humidity around 60%. If the odor is not in the tub and your clothes smell sour, it can occur when clothes are left in the tub for more than 24 hours or hanged to dry in a damp or humid environment. My other half likes me to hang dry her yoga pants and they sour during the summer months because they don’t dry fast enough. Blech! Sour smells can be hard to remove, but I’ve found a little baking soda added to the wash followed by using the Air Dry or low heat option on the dryer works most times. I don’t fully dry the items that she wants hang dried, but I use the dryer to help get them started. That way they dry before souring. I hope that helps!
Hi there is there a way to use the delay start with OUT connecting to wifi & using the app? My washer doesn't recognize 5g &wants me to change all my wifi settings at home & on my phone which I can't do. Can I do delay without all that??
Yes! You can use the Delay Wash feature on the machine. Put the clothes into the tub, add detergent, close the lid, and press the Delay Wash button repeatedly until you see the number of hours you want it to delay before starting (up to 19 hours). Then press the ⏯ button.
My biggest complaints: the agitator-spinning-with-entire-tub part of the cycle...i believe to try to ensure any clothes above the water line get saturated...is almost always unnecessary and a waste of time. Does it for two long spins, huge waste of time. That, and the 'Normal" cycle is almost useless, way too little water. Will get a different brand next time. I would love to find one that sprays the water in uniformly from the top to saturate everything, then there'd never be an issue with coverage. DO like the larger agitator, had the low "tray" style one last time, i won't get the tray style ever again. Need the full size one for more friction and pull.
Would you be able to do a how to tips and tricks of the WT7900 additional wash cycles like sanitize, allergen etc. I know you don’t have one but I have been looking everywhere and this is the best video I’ve found close to what I have.. We just got it and I was sooooo excited and then realized I was not prepared and had no clue what I was getting myself into 🤣🤣
I would love to try the 7900 and do a video, but I don’t own one. If LG ever stumbles onto my content and would like to send me one, I’d be happy to test it out though… I won’t hold my breath. 🤣
Please does someone know how to hack my washer I have the lg top loader with agitator. I have lost so much laundry product for the darn machine just dumps all my products down the drain when I change the setting after it fills up , used to be so proud of my self for remembering to change setting after water filled before cycle started . Boy was i wrong with this lg . I don't think they made this machines for busy mom's ( acronym; MOM = Momentarily Out Of Mind) I hate this machine. Right now i have a half a box of oxiclean in it . Trying to deep clean washer before I try to presoak and rewash a load that was soaking in what looked like chocolate milk water co must have worked on water line? I don't have enough oxiclean to clean out washer and to rewash my white load that now looks gray it was like new 😢
I believe you’re referring to the machine’s safety feature that drains the tub after 5 minutes of inactivity, which can be frustrating if you want to do a longer soak. Unfortunately this machine is limited to the Soak and Pre-wash+Normal options. For a long soak, some folks have said they select a cycle like Heavy Duty or Deep Wash (use WaterPlus for extra water), let the tub fill and then unplug the machine. After soaking they plug the machine back in. I don’t recommend it since the machine has a safety feature to avoid possible leaking and flooding. When my clothes are really filthy (covered in dirt), I wash them separately and multiple times. I start with the Delicates cycle with WaterPlus option so the fabric doesn’t wear down as much and then use a cycle like Deep Wash or Heavy Duty.
Thanks for the video. I have a question that maybe someone can help me with. Is there a way of using the Delicates cycle but for less than 58 minutes. And why can't I adjust the time for the speed wash cycle. Whenever I try to manipulate the soil level and time, it goes to normal wash., and never less than 28 minutes on any cycle. Thanks
From what I know of, there’s no way to shorten the washing segment of the DELICATES cycle. Keep in mind that the time displayed when you select a cycle is merely an estimate, which will change following the sensing segment. For example, when I choose the DELICATES cycle and use the default settings (Tap Cold, Low Spin, Normal Soil), the display shows 57 minutes; however, during the sensing segment the time adjusts down to 48 minutes if it’s only one or two small items. Selecting No Spin, which is what I use when washing my baseball hats, will reduce the overall time to 38 minutes. Regarding SpeedWash - While it is listed under Special Care options, it is not an option that can be added to a cycle. SpeedWash is its own cycle and is intended to wash a few items quickly. Despite it’s intended use, I use it in place of the NORMAL cycle for small to medium sized loads because it uses more water than the NORMAL cycle and runs ~27-32 minutes depending on the settings selected. The default settings for SpeedWash are: Warm water temp; High spin speed; Light soil level; and TurboWash. You cannot turn off the TurboWash option; however, you can change the water temp (just can’t select Hot), spin speed, soil level, and add options like WaterPlus and Extra Rinse. The overall cycle time will only be impacted by the water temp (tap cold takes longer to fill the tub because it is only using the cold supply line), whether or not you select a spin speed versus No Spin, and whether or not you select an option like Water Plus or Extra Rinse. Changing the soil level does not impact wash time, but it will impact the frequency of washing motions used during the washing segment. Hope that helps!
I can’t recommend unplugging the machine since the tub draining after 5 minutes of inactivity is intended as a precautionary measure to prevent the possibility of flooding. My guess is LG incorporated this safety feature in case any seals dry out over time. For soaking, unfortunately, this machine is limited to 1) the Soak option, or (2) the Pre Wash+Normal cycle, or (3) adding the Soak option to the PreWash+ Normal cycle. You can also add the WaterPlus option to any of the three options above.
Doing laundry should be the easiest thing to do. But these manufacturers have made laundry a hell. I hate this washer. But I see reviews that Maytage and Samsung are worse. I just hate this washer. So many functions but not one is useful. Wonder which 'genius' created it?
I just bought a new LG Washer like the one in this video. I put bleach in the bleach dispenser and it drains out before I turn the machine on. Is this normal? Where did the bleach go?
That is normal. The bleach drains from the bleach cup down into the bottom of the outer tub (the white plastic tub that surrounds the stainless steel tub, aka spin basket). That way the bleach is diluted by water as the cycle starts and doesn’t make contact with garments at full strength.
Do you think the deep wash cycle would be effective on models with an agitator? Would like to know if the agitator would facilitate thorough cleaning while being gentler on clothes than Heavy Duty?
An agitator might help. I rarely use Deep Wash, but it will get the job done. I just think Heavy Duty does a better job. The wash motions are more aggressive with Heavy Duty so it is a bit harder on clothes… although I think the Normal cycle is harder on clothes because it uses so little water.
I really don’t have a recommendation since this is the only LG washer I’ve used. My decision on which model came down to selecting one that didn’t have features I wouldn’t use.
Dummy me thought the Normal prewash was just giving the clothes extra wash time or soak time, so when I feel like the clothes need a little extra wash time I use it. I'm not doing all that with pretreating and waiting for a chime to throw the stained clothes in , I just use a little dawn and hand washing on the specific spot or stains at the sink then just throw it in and start the load 🙃
If you want the end of wash signal to chime, make sure the SIGNAL button is illuminated. To increase or decrease the volume of the chime a cycle must be selected first (if you just power on the machine and follow the next steps it won’t work). After selecting a cycling, press the Signal button repeatedly and quickly (like 3x per second) and you’ll hear the volume increase or decrease. It’s a very subtle difference and will not impact the signal you hear when selecting cycles or options.
May have an unbalanced load so it’s trying to correct it by filling and spinning. Pause the load, shuffle the clothes, close the lid and run a SPIN ONLY by pushing and holding the SPIN button for 3 seconds. Once selected (you’ll hear a beep), you can press spin again to select the spin speed, and press ⏯.
Thanks for the helpful tips. My LG washer is new, not the same model as yours but mostly the same cycles. I couldn't figure out how to utilize the water plus option while using the normal setting. After load sensing and pausing the cycle, the water plus option simply doesn't light up and no water is added? Am I missing something here?
You’re welcome. 😃 On our washer WaterPlus needs to be selected before the cycle is started. Additionally, if you choose the Normal cycle, selecting WaterPlus changes the cycle to Deep Wash… then, if you want even more water you can turn WaterPlus on again before starting the Deep Wash cycle; however, you should only need to select WaterPlus if it’s a large absorbent, bulky load.
I stand corrected! And I like being wrong because I learn something in the process! If I’m using WaterPlus for a bulky load, I usually select WaterPlus before starting the cycle; however you can select it during the wash cycle as you pointed out… or at least with some cycles. I did a test today… I ran a 13 lbs SpeedWash load. Ha! During the wash segment (about 8 minutes in and after the tub had stopped filling and was already washing) I paused the load, pressed WaterPlus, and started the load again. Voila! It added more water! I’m going to try and recreate what you did with the Normal cycle to see if I can explain what happened in your case. Could be timing, could be using Water Plus with Normal is attempting to change the cycle to DeepWash mid cycle… don’t know, but I’d like to find out. 😃
I chatted with an LG agent online and this person said that the water plus option can only be chosen BEFORE any wash cycle, not during. I was under the impression that on any most cycles (Normal included) you can pause anytime and add water. It even states this on the manual. I have the model 7150 CW.
Lol. My guess is the LG rep (or possibly a chatbot) have never used the machine and are reading from scripts. After further experimentation (and as you’ve pointed out) I’ve learned you can add the WaterPlus option during the sensing and washing segments of some cycles; however, it will not engage for the Normal cycle. I believe that is because selecting the WaterPlus option with the Normal cycle changes the cycle to Deep Wash. In my testing I was able to add WaterPlus during the sensing and washing segments of SpeedWash, Deep Wash, and Heavy Duty. The WaterPlus option is not available for the Bedding cycle though, which makes sense given how much water it uses.
It's a shame you can't use it on the normal cycle. Adding another 3 to 4 gallons of water whenever you like would have taken care of some complaints that it uses very little water. Deep wash water is too much for some loads and the agitation / turnover is not going to be good as a result.
On this machine the button is called WaterPlus. You can select it before you begin a cycle or if you notice a load needs more water once it's washing, you can press WaterPlus to add more water. Just note that WaterPlus is not available with every cycle. For example, selecting the NORMAL cycle and then WaterPlus changes the cycle to DEEP WASH. You cannot use the WaterPlus option with the NORMAL cycle.
That’s the top down sprayer that rinses the clothes when the TurboWash option is selected. If it’s consistently dripping (non-stop) when the machine is powered off, there’s likely an issue with the valve not closing.
Thank you so much. Now feel much more confident using my washing machine. I use your recommended turbo wash for just about everything. Will try speed wash in the near too. Thank you, so helpful.
Interesting! I usually hear that the machine isn’t using enough water. The Normal cycle uses the least amount of water, but you won’t want to use it for bulky items or bedding.
Does the waterplus option allow you to add as much water as you want, I am desperately looking for a washer that lets you fill up water to the top. I had an old Amana for 40 years that was wonderful compared to these government controlled water saving pieces of junk. Since this is HE, probably waterplus is not what you would hope for, but if you know of any LG or other brand that still lets you fill water practically to the top, I would love to hear from you.
You can use the WaterPlus option more than once to add water; however I don’t think it will fill to the top unless it’s a full-tub load. It does seem to be a common issue with these HE washers. Perhaps look into SpeedQueen models which are more reminiscent of classic machines. There’s a fine line between using too little and too much water when it comes to performance.
@@BruceAlanR Thanks, I've been looking at the Speed Queen TC5 and that may be the best one for me . There is a Maytag MVWP586GW that also appears to be able to give you a full tub of water. It's slightly cheaper than the TC5 and slightly larger capacity being 3.5 instead of 3.2. I feel really cheated by the false advertising of the Maytag MVW4505MW with DEEP FILL in bold letters and stating that you can have all the water you want. It should say Shallow Fill with water according to the weight of the stuff you are washing.
I don't see why anyone would want one of these top load HE washers. You can't load it more than 1/4 full. It takes an engineering degree to figure out how to "trick" it. This is the kind of machine that turns you into a laundry slave This is why I have a front loader. They hold more clothes, clean everything and save water. I owned a top load HE for a year. I gave it to charity. I've had my top loader for 8 years.
I can relate. There are times I miss our 20 year old Maytag Commercial… and had I been more technically inclined back then, I probably might have repaired it.
You can download a ‘Whites’ cycle to the ‘Downloaded’ position of the cycle selector dial using the App. The defaults for the cycle are a hot water temperature, medium spin speed, soil level set to heavy, TurboWash option selected, and an extra rinse… it’s overkill in my opinion. For washing whites, I just use the cycle of my choice with warm or hot water and then add detergent and no more than 1/2 cup of bleach (amount will depend on load size). Hope that helps.
When selecting a cycle, the time shown in the display is an estimate of how long a full load (>~90% of tub and specific weight) will take to complete. Once you press ⏯, the machine’s sensors determine the load size/weight and adjust the time accordingly. Typically, if the load isn’t heavy or extra large the estimated time in the display will change to ~35-39 minutes.
Frequent unbalanced loads can occur if the machine isn’t level. With the machine empty, try rocking it in any direction. If it rocks at all use the leveling legs to make adjustments. Also put a torpedo level along the outside seams under the top cover and check for level (don’t use the lid since it may not be level). Check level front to back and side to side. The other possibility is one of your suspension rods or dampers needs to be replaced. I’ll be posting a video on how to change them soon. Good luck!
If you look at the booklet. It shows to put the clothes in the center so not sure where this guy is getting his information from. I'll think I'll follow the manufacturer's instructions instead
I believe you're referring to the picture in the manual that shows loading items 1,2,3,4 around the edges, with items 5,6 straddling the center. To me, the picture implies that items 5 and 6 are towards the top of the load. If you've ever just dumped the laundry into the tub, which is what I did when we first got the machine, you'll notice by the end of the sensing segment that large bulky items (pants, long-sleeved shirts, sweatshirts) towards the bottom of the tub end up stretched across the center. When the center is blocked, the tub motions will not be enough to turn the load over by pushing items up through the center ("blooming"). Obviously do what you're comfortable with. If your clothes frequently come out tied in a giant knot, or you don't find they're getting cleaned or rinsed properly, try loading around the outside. Also keep in mind the tub is going to spin everything to the outside edges during the sensing segment. 😃
@@BruceAlanR Exactly what i found first time i used. Tangled clothes, really stretching out in spin cycle. I'm tall, long srms/legs, so i thought that the prob and used mesh bags next 3 loads. And loaded around side. Maybe no need for bags ??
All rinses are cold with this machine. To achieve a warm rinse manually would be a bit of a headache. You’d need to cancel the cycle after the wash segment (once the water has drained and been spun out), and then run a new cycle with warm water selected (preferably one that uses enough water… Deep Wash would be a good option). At the end of that cycle’s wash segment, which would actually be what you’re using as a rinse, you’d need to run a SPIN ONLY cycle by pressing and holding the SPIN button for three seconds. Like I said… A bit of a headache. 🤣
To run a spin only cycle: 1) close the lid, 2) press and hold the SPIN button for 3 seconds (it will beep) to select SPIN only, 3) use the SPIN button to select the spin speed you want (the default is High spin so if that’s good you can skip this step), 4) press and hold ⏯ to begin the cycle.
If you’ve added bleach via the bleach cup it will be included in whatever cycle is run next. That’s because the bleach isn’t actually dispensed. When bleach is added via the bleach cup it drains down to the bottom of the outer tub below the stainless tub (aka, spin basket). That way bleach doesn’t come in direct contact with clothes until it has been diluted by water added in the wash segment. 😃👍
I miss old washers when I didn’t need a RUclips video to figure out the piece of crap. Atleast it has 100 different modes that will never be used.
I hear you! There I times I miss the old Maytag with one knob.
I just got one and I hate it
I agree 100 percent all this smart stuff drives me craxxxxy
This was super helpful - much better than reading the manual. Thank you
You're welcome! Glad it was helpful.
I watched your first video before buying the same model years ago. I came to the same conclusions concerning Heavy Duty vs. Normal cycles. Didn't know about the Speed cycle though! Thanks for your help!
Thanks for coming back to the channel! I bet you’ll find SpeedWash really helpful. Not to mention faster for Normal soiled loads! 😃
We just got a new LG washer and dryer for our newly purchased home. I was really concerned about the water level on the normal wash cycle. Thank you for explaining everything.
Glad the video was helpful. 👍
THANK YOU!!! I totally did not get any info from the booklet. I was a little disappointed. This helped immensely!!!!!!!!!!
You're so welcome! I'm so glad the video was helpful. More laundry videos to come! 😃
This is the BEST video I’ve seen & answered so many questions. Now I need one on the LG dryer because that thing has a mind of its own.
Thanks for the kind words. Wish I could help you with the dryer, but we had to replace ours a few years earlier before the matching dryer came out.
OutSTANDING video!!! Thank you SOOO much for taking the time to make this video! Insanely helpful! 🙌🏼❤️🙌🏼
You are so welcome! 😃
The more videos I watch of this washing machine the last I'm impressed
I hear you. It definitely takes some getting used to. I wish it was as easy as loading and pressing a button.
Regarding the dryer, we didn’t get the matching dryer because our Whirlpool dryer from the 70’s had to be replaced a year earlier.
Thank you Bruce i am a senior and have problem understanding
Happy to help!
Happy to hear that! I’m glad the video was helpful!
Thank you!
Thanks for taking the time to make this video. We just upgraded from a very very old Whirlpool that bit the dust. I was overwhelmed at all of the options so I really appreciate the breakdown!! Thank you!!
You're welcome! Glad it was helpful. New tip video coming soon, so please stay tuned. 😃
If I have a comforter should I take it to the Laundromat or use my washer and only wash it by itself
@joshuajay2886 take it to the laundromat unless you have a speed queen or huebsch
@@verbodendragon why is that? Can it not handle it? I thought comforters are harder to clean with an agitator. We used to own a Laundromat and had Dexter's
@joshuajay2886 the dampers I feel are Is intentionally designed like crap And if you're washing things like comforters, a lot of towels, dog bedding, or big loads, they go out after three years
How can i take the detergent tray out for a deep cleaning. Love your tips. I didnt know i had a turbo wash cycle till tonight😂😊
Ha! Glad the video was helpful and yes you can remove the entire detergent tray and all the cups. I demonstrate how to do it in this video:
How To Remove Lint, Detergent Residue Stains, Tub Odor, and Sour Laundry Smells - LG Washer WT7300
ruclips.net/video/oxJvQqr9P6w/видео.html
Thanks for the kind words. I wouldn’t want LG to send me a washer or dryer given it took me so long to figure out this one. 🤣
How do I use the steam option to get wrinkles out of my scrubs
Wish I could help, but this washer doesn’t have a steam option.
I was so disappointed with the new washer until I found this video. Thank you!
Glad I could help! 😁👍
Owned LG for years before finding this. Godsend. Hope you come out with simple op chart for this. Finally figured out how to use this convoluted washing machine.
An OP chart is a great idea! Thanks!
LOL I was trying to make one of my own because no way I will retain this!
Very good info that you pointed out. Just got a LG returned a new Maytag. LG is top-of-the-line. Compared to Maytag. Just wanted to point out. The normal cycle is useless on the LG might as well not use any water ridiculous water level. I always use deep cycle. Thanks again.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. This model works well for our family.
Glad it was helpful! 😃👍
@@SuzieqNC2606 yea I get that but honestly try that. It works like a charm
Glad I could help! 😃
@@dianepalarino4525 There is also an option for 'HIGH' spin. Use it for towels, jeans and comforters.
Just bought the LG washer after our whirlpool died. Alot of options thanks for the tutorial. 👍
Glad it was helpful. I plan to share more tips and tricks in the future, so stay tuned! 😃
I have the same model. My problem is when washing thin light weight fabrics they often get stuck on the low-profile pulsator. How can this be avoided?
Place the items in a mesh, zip-up laundry bag. The bags come in handy for washing intimates (aka, bras and things with lace).
We found your video very helpful. We been using our LG for probably 3 years, but have never been thrilled with its performance. Your tip to use the "heavy duty" wash with "turbo cycle" seems just right for just about all loads. Thanks Again !!
Glad it was helpful! 😃👍
Thank you for this video. Really appreciate the time you took to explain this to me. I have just realized I have been using my washing machine WRONG!!!!. Thank you so much...
You’re welcome. Glad the video was helpful.
What is that metal clang or ping sound I hear before the machine goes into spin cycle or after a cycle.?
I think it’s just the machine changing gears or engaging something, but I’ll have to investigate further. Mine does it too. The sound is originating from somewhere under the tub.
Terrific video! Thanks so much!
Glad it was helpful!
I noticed the WT7900 was/is on sale during the holidays and for under
how do you like your new washer ?
@@brigitas9176 It's decent. I like the old style washers better. I think the old style washers clean better. The modern machines, like LG, take longer to launder. I like the capacity (however I kept my old dryer, so I can really only do half loads).
Also use only 2 tablespoons of detergent, no more.. fabric softeners build outside of the drum that’s waxy!
Good tip!
Really helpful. Thank you
Very welcome and thank you for the feedback. I will continue the series if folks find the info useful.
Thank you so much for this video. I just bought this machine a few weeks ago and I was about to return it because I didn't think it was actually washing my clothes. Turbo Wash is what I need to start using when I wash now. Thanks for the tip!
Glad the video was helpful!
I have a question where is the lint filter for this washing machine? I accidentally threw out the instructions 😭is it behind the washing machine ?
How do you turn off Control Lock (i.e. child lock)?
To turn on/off CL, press and hold the SIGNAL button for 3 seconds.
it's 2024 we need a 2 in 1 combo converter washing machine and dryer same time on the side of the machines are the heating vents and convert into water tubes !
Glad it was helpful! 💦👍
I've had this washer for about 4 years and today learned how to use it. Thank you!
Glad I could help! 😃👍
Buy a speed queen … no problems and depending on which model you buy it has a 3 year, 5year or 7 year warranty.
Can’t argue with that! I looked at Speed Queen, but it was out of my budget.
Bruce, great tips on washer. Could you do a tips video for matching dryer? It’s driving me crazy.
We have an LG, but not Turbo. The problem I'm having is the Fabric Softener tray is always filled with water. The machine is only 7 months old.
Finding water in the detergent and fabric softener tray is normal so it’s important to pull out the tray and keep the lid open when the machine is not in use to avoid mold and mildew.
How to use spin only without any other program?
Press and hold the SPIN button for 3 seconds to select SPIN ONLY. Then press ⏯ to start it.
I make my own soap. Do I put my homemade powder In the HE bin?
You can treat it like any other powdered detergent so remove the blue liner from the right side of the detergent tray/drawer and add it there. Making your own soap is pretty cool. I’d love to know how to do it… you should make a video. 😁
@BruceAlanR Thanks for replying so fast. I just started to make it so the jury is still out. I found this online:
1.5 cups sodium bicarbonate(pure baking soda)
1.5 cups sodium carbonate(washing soda)
1/4 Cup Sea Salt
1/2 CUP Epsolm Salt
20 drops of favorite essential oil
Regular soap was too harsh, developed rash. Was using gentler soaps. They helped somewhat. So I'm going old school. Hoping this cuts down on excess chemicals
Thanks for the recipe. Let me know how it works.
Amazing video thanks for sharing! Just a quick question, I was not able to find the filter to clean where is it located? Or maybe it doesn’t have one?
Glad you enjoyed the video. This washer doesn’t have a filter. I had the same question when we first got the machine and even reached out to LG about it. They confirmed there’s no filter and that everything gets pumped out with the rinse water.
@@BruceAlanR I truly appreciate your promptness! Thanks for letting me know it was driving me crazy I was about to call LG customer service myself 😅
The chimes on my washer don’t chime anymore. Did I press a button I wasn’t supposed to?
You must have accidentally turned off the signal. Press the SIGNAL button a few times, which will turn it back on and adjust volume (pressing the button cycles through something like OFF-> On low-> On med-> On high-> OFF). Be sure not to hold the SIGNAL button for more than 3 seconds or you’ll turn on the control lock (CL, aka, child lock), which locks the display. Of course if you do, you can just press and hold the SIGNAL button again for 3 seconds to turn CL off.
I have a 2024 4.5 (something) front loading! STILL can’t figure out how to get into pre-wash cycle! 😢HELP!!!!!!!!!!
Wish I could help, but I haven’t had a front loader for years.
Let’s start with the lint/stains:
In my experience, we get white “stains” (either lint or soap residue or both) on black clothing when (A) A lint producing item (sock, towel) was accidentally included in the load; (B) A water repellent or sweat wicking item was included in the load, which prevented lint from escaping in the rinse water; (C) The previous load was heavy lint-producing items (cottons), but some of the lint was not completely rinsed from the tub (again usually due to a sweat wicking item); (D) I left a tissue in a pocket (aka, the exploding Kleenex); and/or (E) I used too much detergent.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and experiences. 👍
Please does someone know how to hack my washer
I have the lg top loader with agitator.
I have lost so much laundry product for the darn machine just dumps all my products down the drain when I change the setting after it fills up , used to be so proud of my self for remembering to change setting after water filled before cycle started . Boy was i wrong with this lg .
I don't think they made this machines for busy mom's ( acronym; MOM = Momentarily Out Of Mind)
I hate this machine. Right now i have a half a box of oxiclean in it . Trying to deep clean washer before I try to presoak and rewash a load that was soaking in what looked like chocolate milk water co must have worked on water line?
I don't have enough oxiclean to clean out washer and to rewash my white load that now looks gray it was like new
😢
I start with the Delicates cycle with WaterPlus option so the fabric doesn’t wear down as much and then use a cycle like Deep Wash or Heavy Duty.
thanks you filled in the gaps . ill view this video again.
Glad the video was helpful!
Whats the point of buying a large capacity washerif you can only was 5 or 6 towels at A time ? Thats ridiculous. And. A waste of money.
Can’t argue with that.
How do I soak clothes overnight in this washer?
It drains after a few minutes of being paused.
Unplug overnight.
I was thinking that it was going somewhere to be held, until the bleach needed to be added. Thank you!
Do you have a preference for which model of LG Top Load you think is best? I'm getting ready to purchase one.
Yup! Your other options would be to use a cycle that runs longer or add a soak to whatever cycle you choose.
Does anyone know how to increase the end of wash on the LG top load washer-same as above--Signal is on-but the end of cycle chimes not working
How do you use the just spin cycle. This God dam machine keeps filling and draining but never goes into spin
How to add extra water while you are washing , the manual says pressing the deep fill or max and my machine does not have those buttons
What is that round blue looking ball called by the detergent dispenser? Mine is dripping for some reason
Glad I could help!
Thanks for the info. The one I have uses too much water. How can I get it to use smaller amounts of water for small loads?
Interesting! I usually hear that the machine isn’t using enough water. The Normal cycle uses the least amount of water, but you won’t want to use it for bulky items or bedding.
Thank you and we love your show!❤❤❤👍
You’re welcome. Thanks for the kind words.
I hear you. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Just brought this machine. It is 1 week old. I hate it. It's a piece of Crap.
Thanks for sharing your experience. There are days I miss our old machine too.
This disappointed me, if I knew this, I would have passed this washer by.
I can relate. There are times I miss our 20 year old Maytag Commercial… and had I been more technically inclined back then, I probably might have repaired it.
Came here for a quick instruction on using this for whites and this had newrly zero info.
Hope that helps.
timer is set for 59 minutes but usually finished within 35 minutes. WhY?
When selecting a cycle, the time shown in the display is an estimate of how long a full load (>~90% of tub and specific weight) will take to complete. Once you press ⏯, the machine’s sensors determine the load size/weight and adjust the time accordingly. Typically, if the load isn’t heavy or extra large the estimated time in the display will change to ~35-39 minutes.
I still dont know how to use it! There is no water coming! It just spinning with no water! 😢
No water at all or not enough water?
My machine keeps saying it is unbalanced. But it isn’t. Why.
Good luck!
How do you take off the agitator, need to clean some junk underneath?

Exactly what i found first time i used. Tangled clothes, really stretching out in spin cycle. I'm tall, long srms/legs, so i thought that the prob and used mesh bags next 3 loads. And loaded around side. Maybe no need for bags ??
How do I get a warm water rinse? Great video! Thanks!
when light runs off whiles washing on lg machine and runs on how do you continue watching
Sorry, I don’t understand the question. Please clarify. Thanks.
Thanks for this video. How do you pre- soak on these new washer, please. Thanks
There are only two options for pre-soaking on the washer: 1) Pre-wash + Normal cycle (on the dial), or 2) Adding the Soak option to a cycle.
@@BruceAlanR thank you so much. I wish you all the best.
Can you SOAK CLOTHING OVERNIGHT?
Unfortunately you cannot without pulling the plug, which I don’t recommend.
Trying to use an extra spin cycle. Piece of crap machine.
Will the bleach get dispensed on any cycle, or only on certain ones?
If you’ve added bleach via the bleach cup it will be included in whatever cycle is run next. That’s because the bleach isn’t actually dispensed. When bleach is added via the bleach cup it drains down to the bottom of the outer tub below the stainless tub (aka, spin basket). That way bleach doesn’t come in direct contact with clothes until it has been diluted by water added in the wash segment. 😃👍
