Lyrics
Deep inside the silence
Staring out upon the sea
The waves washing over
Half forgotten memories
Deep within the moment
Laughter floats upon the breeze
Rising and falling dying down within me
And I swear I never knew how it could be
And all this time all I had inside was what I couldn't see
I swear I never knew how it could be
All the waves washing over all that hurts inside of me
Beyond this beautiful horizon
Lies a dream for you and I
This tranquil scene is still unbroken by the rumors in the sky
But there's a storm closing in
Voices crying on the wind
This serenade is growing colder breaks my soul that tries to sing
And there's so many, many thoughts
When I try to go to sleep
But with you I start to feel a sort of temporary peace
There's a drift in and out
for 20 years im listening to you, everywhere. In my car, in the office, at home... i have been to 2 concerts, for one more live performance i would go anywhere to see.
dude..... i can understand that
I love the whole song, but the part that starts at 2:40 is truly special
What a poetry
So high
So low
What a masterpiece ladies and gentlemen. I have been listening to this song for 15 years and I feel goosebumps everytime.
I feel the same
This song was the only thing that helped me when I've reached rock bottom, it was a sort of CPR to my dying soul
😔
Been there, hope you're doing better friend
They are so young here.. I've seen them live around 10 times or so.. Best band ever walked on this planet
Whenever I listen to Anathema for me it’s temporary peace
Şarkıyı dinlerken gerçekten geçici huzur veriyor...
They certainly know how to create the music that touches your very soul.
Going all the way to Europe from India to see them live 😭
Transforming the pain into art is a beautiful thing to do 🙏🙏 it shows in higher realities there are no good or bad
This song for me will always be linked to memories of the first girl I fell in love with after years of depression following the break-up of my first serious relationship. Although she never answered my feelings, and although I've since found somebody else, got married and started a family, this song brings back fond memories of that time and I'm somewhat thankful to that girl for bringing back feelings into my life.
I just discoverede this awesome band, not more than 10 days ago. All I can say is that I am glad, it is exactly what I needed!
Listening to this song since a decade now. aging like a fine wine. "It's a drift in and out". The arpeggio notes really hits different with the sound of the sea! Absolute masterpiece!
I am going to miss you guys...
One of my favorites songs. Masterpiece
There's Music, and there's Anathema, and then ...There's "Temporary Peace"
good memories...

A Fine Day to Exit*
ölümsüzlüğe.
Очень жаль что распались(
Sad and melancholic Anathema is way better and deeper than f*cking happy Anathema. In fact happy crappy Anathema is almost unbearable
Can't watch that live performance. Too many out of tune notes in vocal of Vincent ☹️
WTF?
Are you deaf or something?
I did not even hear a single mishap on his vocals...
@@MrRafa1919 Man,
Anathema was always and is still my favorite band of my life since the moment I had clicked the play button of my WinAmp in 2005 and started listening to 01 - Harmonium (haha). I finished listening to that album without pauses.
But I'm certainly was talking about this DVD. Not exactly this song. I re-watched this video again and it's pretty much OK.
When I listen to their new lives it goes way better.
@@MrRafa1919 Did you mean "deer"? You're forgiven today. Happy Easter.
Fix your ears man.
Tbh I’ve never heard him singing out of tune
