Hey! My mom is Lebanese and this was a staple growing up. She always made a big pot and brought it to picnics lol. I thought it was so boring then but I absolutely love it now. Her recipe is different than yours but nonetheless I’m sure it’s delicious. Thanks for sharing!!! 💕
We used to eat this when I grew up. The traditional way is adding the rice to the lentils when they are almost done, but this might be easier. And still delicious. If I remember well, the onions we put on top were crispy. I loved it and still do. Easy, delicious and healthy ❤
I am going to cook this dish, i have dried onions from the store to use but i don't know how to use first time. Do i have to use ir as a garnish at the end. Thanks😊
Every Passover my parents, Jews of Spain and France, would eat rice and lentils, they are a choen and Levi and the Hasmonean kingdom that was in Jerusalem

Oh thank you Iris for your feedback! What a lovely idea for a picnic, never thought about that ❤️
My client is Lebanese and made me this for lunch!! Love how nearly every culture has a rendition of legumes and rice ( vegetarian)
I make this. And sometimes I add potato's. Am mixed Arabic. It's so good. ❤ Yours looks delicious. Thank You.

It's our pleasure!! Thanks for being here, Carine :-)
Im just loving all these neat recipes. Unfortunately I cant tolerate onions. But would still make it without. I love your "easy right" at the end. 😊
I much prefer your longer form videos like this 👍
Thanks for the feedback! They are certainly more effort the long form ones, so your opinion matters 🙏

Amazing.❤❤❤ could you tell us the measurement for the lentill and rice. Thanks😋

I am from the Middle East, we just add salt, no spices.
Try kefir with chopped cucumber, salt and dried mint with it.
Yes this is certainly an “aromatic” interpretation, thanks so much for your comment and serving suggestion 🙏❤️
