I like how warm they made sora. A lot of video game characters (especially males) are very cold but they made sora very innocent and feeling that's what made this game a classic :)

I think the simple answer is - Haley Joel Osment was around 14 when the first KH game was made in 2002 and his voice hadn't quite broken yet. The next KH was KH2, released in 2006. So he would have been around 18-19 then and his voice had broken. I thought it was kinda nice they both hit puberty at the same time XD
The reason is because of the ages between the actual making of the games. Haley Joel Osment was 14 during the first KH, the same as Sora, but in KH2 (there was a three year time difference between the games in real life), Haley Joel Osment is 17, giving him a very deep voice that's fitting to the game, as Sora hit probably went through the brunt of puberty during his time asleep. Those ages you had were official, yes.
