This Bee Gees Robin Gibb interview was broadcasted by BBC1 " One Show" on 11 April 2012.
Just the day after "Titanic Requiem Concert " was performed by Royal Phil Harmonic Orchestra with RSVP voices at Central Hall, Westminster, London.

He died exactly a hundred years after it sank. The man was incredible and such a loss to the Music world. His family will always grieve him I am sure. Bless.

Robin was so brave, and gentle, to fight for his life till the end. Very moving interview, the lady shows a lot of respect, and father and son are great working together.

I loved Robin so much. It broke my heart when he passed. I miss him and his beautiful, haunting voice. I will always my favorite. He was one of the most caring men I have knew of. He was very intelligent and was always so interesting in his interviews. I just loved everything about Robin. RIP dear Robin

I second everything you said Roberta. I think if Robin had lived a little longer there would have been more attention paid to the Titanic Requiem. It’s truly beautiful and haunting.

Same here. Can still remember the day like it was yesterday. Even after this long it still doesn’t feel real to me that he’s not here. It isn’t fair, he should still be here. I accidentally clicked this video on my homepage when I was scrolling and my heart is breaking all over again. I miss him so much.

Watching this tears my eyes. A man so vibrant and full of life all those years as a Bee Gee and as a solo artist whittled away to nothing from such a terrible disease. Robin, though I never met you in person or was able to attend a concert, I will, one day reside with you in Heaven and for eternity hear you sing. R.I.P. dear sweet Robin. Your fans greatly miss you.

Cris Kethiri,,,,Robin wasnt whittled away to nothing ,,, he carried on he fought ,,throughout his illness creating this master piece for the titanic,,,he help get the bomber memorial statue in green park erected for those who died without recognition he wasnt whittled away to nothing ,, yes he was in pain which he never tried to show but he didnt whittle away please choose your words carefully

@@rebeccaryan3621 Whittled away is just an expression meaning he got very thin. He did get very thin and he was very sick but it has nothing to do with what he accomplished during this time.

I watched my father in 6 months become frail like this from cancer.
It is a terrible disease.
I hope his son continues to create.
He must have the same artistic genes inherited from this extraordinary family.

I love the anecdote about the Gibb brothers waving at their fans in the boats passing by from their homes in Miami. I hear so many stories about them showing their appreciation of their fans in big and small ways.

Wow! As I sit here watching this it's bringing me to tears. Tears of sadness knowing that Robin is no longer with us and also because Robin looks so very frail and painfully thin. It's only been a week today since you left us Robin. We will never ever forget you.

I have listened to the Requiem. And I have to say, the Titanic Requiem is perhaps, in my opinion, one of the greatest pieces of modern classical music. I sincerely hope that this music will be played on like they do with Mozart's or Verdi's.

Si, es muy triste verlo así pero fué un león, que hasta el final dió LO MEJOR, inclusive creo que fue intubado, lo que todavía daña más sus cuerdas vocales, ni qué hablar de la quimio y rayos le darían.
Muchas personas comunes, no famosas, pasan por ésto todos los días, lamentablemente.
Pero en el caso de Robín, como lo fue también Freddie Mercury en su última etapa de la enfermedad, la música, el arte, esa fuerza ,ese amor por lo que fuë su vida y estar con sus hermanos siempre, problemas entre medio como todos, creo que hasta le prolongó sus días. Lo he visto en lucha por varias causas..se aferró con ello lo más que pudo..sabiendo que su pronóstico era desfavorable...y su última obra fue un Réquiem (Titanic)..todo un cierre agónico, para irse a descansar. Todo un símbolo.
No todos los famosos exitosos eligen que los vean así, porque él se vería... Pero su alma estaba saludable y vigorosa..y ya está en absoluta paz después de darnos tantas satisfacciones y felicidad y alegría..y nunca fueron demagogos.. Absolutamente sinceros decían que ellos escribían para hacer LO MEJOR...independientemente de que le gustara o no al público... Y éso es algo muy valorable. Igualmente , se dieron las dos cosas : hicieron LO MEJOR Y AL PÚBLICO LE ENCANTÓ... !! UN ABRAZO, GRACIAS POR ESTA CHARLA VIRTUAL!!!

BEAUTIFUL MUSIC, TY RJ & RIP ROBIN.
Its so sad,i truly thought that Robin would pull through,having the best medical care etc,i thought if he was able to get through the operation and wake up from the coma he would be on his way to a recovery.So sad he lives not far from where i am and have heard so many stories from locals and friends who would see him around the town and one great Great Song Artist who didnt need Body Guards by his side pushing people away who wanted to talk to him when he was back in Thame.. Will be Missed

Aw poor Robin my fellow cancer brother looks and sounds so uncomfortable during the interview, tears. I had skin cancer on my butt and I remember it hurt like hell to sit so can't even imagin how excruciating it must have been for him . R.I.P Mr. Robin Gibb, it extremely saddens that I've never met you in the short 25 (I'm 27 now) we shared the Earth with you but I'm comfort that your finally at peace and comfort with your three brothers in Heaven. But hopefully when I join you in Haven I can finally have my Bee Gee concert as well as my Elvis concert hay, wink.

One correction to RJ's interview. There were 1,498 passengers and crew to perish, not over 1,500. 712 people survived out of 2,208.
Me name is Rose Mary so I during my whole life hás been listened balads of Bee gees, passionating balads of all my youth sinceramente we anda gira attended night clubes to have a date and cuddling dancing tô a sound Bee gees.
A few years we were in Dublin to see Barbra Striesand.It was the concert that had the parking and access problems.Our journey took hours,bumper to bumper on motorway.Our hotel was 20 minutes from concert site.However this lady Ms. Grant and her husband were in the car next to us.She is stunning and she and her husband Eddie were just charming.We got our money refunded,i hope they did too.
Almost unbearable to watch. So painful. Great pain to lose Robin Gibb.
