It's very unfortunate to see all of the homeless animals on the streets. I am amazed to see the aggressiveness of the cats when the see/smell the food. Thank you for caring for these innocent animals.
Don't worry there's enough people that care in Turkey. The butcher and even normal people give them food and even they're stray cats they're owned by the community to some extend as people love to help them.
If I can add to my answer - there's also city funded veterinarians e.g. in Istanbul that spay and neuter stray cats to prevent them overbreeding. Altough I know it's not covering 100% and yes there is still cats that suffer in Turkey, most cats in Turkey DO LIVE a much better life than most cats anywhere. From all the countries I've lived and visited I think only Egypt is competitive in how people treat stray cats.
I agree....these cats are STARVING.....so they are not getting fed enough by the locals....and when they are being fed I don't see any other humans interacting....just walking by. Again....most of the cats are young a year or so..This year s a very overwhelming situation. **TY for all you are doing***
I'm sure people have been systematically giving these kittens food. Otherwise they would also look unhealthy and underweight. Just because this one time they were very hungry (probably the space between two meals was just too long) doesn't mean no one else cared/cares.
Nah kittens are just greedy like that regardless…if they were really hungry they would of ate all that dry food that was there. I’ve seen kittens hunt birds of of starvation. That’s a hungry kitten

I would not want to be between starving kittens and food. Better have bandages ready. Can't blame the kitties. Each one could be such a joyful addition to a family. Cats are such lovely creatures to live with. Funny, loving and so much smarter than most people think they are. Born fully armed. Clopping just the very tips of their claws every 2 weeks saves your furniture and flesh. Start when you're still tougher than they are so they get used to it.
It is sad to see how desperately hungry they are. It would be good if each one of them could find a good loving home, but this is not always possible. If they could just be spayed/neutered so they don’t breed, and if they could be given vaccinations and flea treatment, then they could survive out on the street if there were kind people like you to give them food and water. Bless you for caring about them and feeding them.

My neighbor was using a broom to get a starving kitten off her property instead of feeding it. She could've given it some of her dogs food, but she chose to be an asshole. She gave the kitten to my mom after my mom asked her to bring it to her. He's doing fine now
