yvresse & champagne should never of been discontinued they are some of the most beautiful perfumes ever made to discontinue them was a wrongful decision they are superior perfumes to many bland perfumes I hope YSL resurrect them they are beautiful superior perfumes to many special unique fragrances to those who care enough about perfume to print this some do something about this at YSL connoisseurs of perfume will agree YSL should of been proud of their beautiful magical perfume instead they discontinued it perhaps their aren't as many people with good taste in perfumes that was a magnificent perfume in my opinion
Discontinuing them was a crime against perfumery! haha. This one holds a VERY strong olfactive memory for me so, I agree with you. Absolutely gorgeous. :) I think you can still get it in some form, it's in the bottles with the square lids called "la collection" but...seriously...it's probably the second reformulation so, who knows what it's like? :)
Agreed this is a sparkling yet soft and soapy fragrance I can still remember it!
I have been using this perfume since it debuted. I absolutely adore it. There is nothing else like it. Great video! 💛💛💛
It's so good! I treasure my bottle, it's so magical this one.
Just scored a actual bottle of the original Champagne 🍾 perfume on Ebay, can't wait for it to arrive.
Dolce Vita, Champagne, and (dare I say,) Paris are my absolute favorites. I love YSL house and I'm disappointed to hear about the LOreal corporate take over. They will turn all of the beautiful perfumes to petroleum. So sad. :(

I've got my Yvesse and I had to say that in is what you described indeed. I love it! Perfect for cold weather to keep me happy. Reminds me of Dune a little bit

2020: I was 14 in 1993 when I first smelt this where my mum dragged me to a perfume party. It has been my absolute favourite since that first time I wore it, and I have only been lucky enough to smell it two more times. I am buying my first bottle after 27years (good grief 😭)🥰 Really loved this review on “Champagne”...... thank you for reminding me on how very, very special this fragrance is for me x

@@ouch110 What I remember best about the 90s is the fragrances. Oh, it was Heaven, and we didn't have a clue that it was going to change so much. You're so right, many of my favs are gone (or butchered), but many new ones come along, it's just not quite the same. But we gotta let go, easier said than done though, haha. I managed to get my hands on a Miller Harris frag last week and I'm finally in love with something again after 10-15 years of likes! Oh my, I better stop rambling now :)))

I was absolutely sold by this amazing review and just ordered myself a bottle on line...I was alternating happy pillow and chopard before, but now they both gone and I wanted something new.. hope Yvresse works for me.

It really is one of the classics and the quality is astounding.
Let it develop on your skin to really get the feel. it's a smooth, warm...glamorous nectar!!! hehe.

New Subbie*** That was my signature perfume!! Until I noticed it was not anywhere to be found? I couldn't find it for a long time! So I haven't worn it for a long time? I used to get it at JC Penney. But they no longer carried it all of a sudden.
This fragrance is beautiful from the design of the bottle to the name and scent!!
I read on the Fragrantica site that L'Oréal bought YSL perfumes. They've "re-edited" Yvresse in new packaging for a collection of older fragrances and it now only has about 5 notes! Go read about it and then re-order your original Yvresse whilst there are still some around (you'll not find your version via YSL outlets anymore - here in France original Yvresse is nowhere to be found!) :-) I got mine via cheapsmells.
I bought that for my wife in Phoenix mall 91 .....didn't know it would have this impact now.. It smell so mellin fruit citrus Smooth flowers

It's tough to find, but they did release it in a square shaped kinda diamond ish bottle hehe. Maybe you can find one of those?
:-) I know! I just recently bought 2 Dolce Vita's for fear they'd discontinue! It's such a shame because I love the older fragrances and don't find many of the new fashionable ones appealing. A lot are over hyped and nothing special. Probably cheaper and more synthetic ingredients are being used.

I love Giorgio perfume, or Giorgio scent. But this perfume is like knocking a baseball out of the park. This perfume is gorgeous. I would say yvresse, would be my first choice and so would Giorgio. Lol I can't put Giorgio as second. Lol

I've just ordered this before the original Yvresse version disappears and is completely replaced by the new l'Oréal "La Collection" version which i've read isn't as good and has many less notes. I'd be interested to know what you think of the new version.

Hello!!! Hmm I'm really confused by this comment. I'm not sure what you mean. L'Oreal??? As in...the company L'Oreal are replacing Yvresse by YSL with something else? Total confusion haha.

My absolute favourite, when I was a kid growing up I’d always sneak into mums room and help myself, she would always know..could imagine why ? Lol 😆❤️
Hehe, I have such fond memories of always smelling this when it first got released in department stores. I would always go in and have a sniff. I love it.

wicked review ouch, but i thought a cheepre ( spelt that wrong soz) is ment to unfold in layers , over time, not be liner ? strange maybe only earlier bottles change lots.
The classic Chypres yes...but the new ones have all of the rules bended, who knows anymore? haha

aAboyfriend bought me this in the 90's for christmas with a mariah carey album. This always reminds me of christmas and mariah. I only wear it at christmas. Start on 1 st dec :)) its so gorgeous

I love to buy nostalgic perfumes. Recently I have been obsessed with Oscar de la Renta perfumes (old ones). I am tempted to buy Y de YSL its the oldest of the line. Have you smell it?
I haven't but Oscar de la Renta is a brand that has always intruiged me, for it's vintagey style.

It's a bit of a tough one. They have changed the packing now also to a more square shaped bottle. I think your best bet is to get it online. :)
