I must say that thanks to BTS my ability to interpret different forms of art (lyrics, music videos, movies, paintings, etc) has grown tremendously since I've known them. I learned a lot about the use of colors, objects, sounds, clothes, the composition and framing of a scene to convey a message or a feeling. And one aspect that I really admire in their work is the multiple interpretations depending on the background knowledge you have about them. You can interpret the music video as its own entity or take the lyrics or symbolism or BTS' experiences into account.
For example, when Black Swan was released I interpreted it as BTS' fear of losing their passion for music. When Yoongi says "Slowly, I open my eyes/ I'm in my workroom, it's my studio" I interpreted it as if this fear had only occurred to them in a dream (or a nightmare) and after waking up they realize they still love music, although in one line Namjoon says "what if the moment is right now" I never thought that the moment they were referring to had already happened. Back in 2017 (during Burn The Stage series/movie) Yoongi already talked about the pressure they felt and how difficult it was to create, then in late 2018 Jin reveals how much they were struggling. So in retrospect, I think I was the one who was afraid of BTS losing their passion for music. I didn't want to conceive the idea of tanies experiencing their "first death". But I completely changed my mind after watching last year's Festa dinner when Yoongi and Namjoon talked about how at some point they didn't have anything to say (in their music) any more. That was really heartbreaking and at the time I immediately thought of Black Swan (and MOTS 7).
Basically what I'm trying to say is that the more they share with us throughout the years (in interviews and lives) about their state of mind during each era we're able to analyze BTS' past works from different perspectives as well as interpret it in different ways and therefore none of them would be essencially "wrong". And I LOVE that.
Thank you for this amazing video and I'm looking forward to future projects!!

Before MOTS 7 was released, I felt afraid of being dissapointed, I was wondering what could they do better than what I already heard and saw, but then became black swan and then ON! Louder than bombs, Dyonisus, my time, welI, all of them. I was amazed, I cried, I laughed and I learned. Not all their songs will be monumental, but all of them are pieces of art and pieces of themselves so I treasure and enjoy them without wondering, just trusting in their artistry. Thans for the video, I hope you keep on doing them!

I cried through so much of FESTA 2022 because of their evident pain and as someone else mentioned , it also made me think of Black Swan. The song was written by Pdogg, RM, and others. So RM was very involved. I feel they had or were experiencing the pain and fear that is sung about in BS. I noticed how they answered questions regarding Fake Love. When asked what the song was about their answers was very generic. The deeper answer is in their book. I am an early 2021 ARMY but have had the time to look over their vast catalog. (Due to poor health.)
The one thing I kept hearing over and over was that Bang PD wanted them to tell their stories.
Looking back thinking this way changes the meanings to several songs. For me anyway.
Love Black Swan. I went down to the ocean floor with them and somehow ended up in the BTS rabbit hole.

Thank you for these videos, it is refreshing to have a new voice giving well researched and informative analysis of BTS’s body of work. I look forward to every video you send out!
BTW, We all understand that there are many components bringing a BTS song to stage, but I certainly hope that we all understand that the members are involved in the concepts, writing and production along with the other producers. And at the end of they day, it is their artistry that brings it to life for us all to enjoy.

Looking forward to your future contents. It takes a lot of effort to decipher and analyze their music. That’s why I don’t do it but do enjoy watching them, especially coming from true ARMY.😊
