Yerin Baek is absolutely my favorite female Korean soloist. She has this certain style in her music where I can listen to it and turn off my brain to just float. Her voice is also very controlled, with the ability to go from soft to really powerful and it never sounds strained or outside of her range. I just love everything about her and am so happy she's doing so well~
1st tract '야간비행' means 'a night flight' in Korean :)
Please, please take a listen to The Volunteers (Yerin is the lead vocal). It is the quintessential Korean Indie + 90's Brit Guitar mix, with echos of Lush, The Stone Roses, and others. I discovered it just recently and can't stop listening to it since!
Oh, and thank you SO much for this album listen. BYR is truly a one-of-a-kind.
This album is a very easy listen. Sometimes when I'm anxious I listen to this album, it's so incredibly calming. Honestly I think Koreans use it to go to sleep and that's why it's so high in the charts because they're constantly streaming it as they are a sleep 😅
This is lit my favourite album ever by a female soloist. She did such an amazing job umu yet my fav is Our love is great. It is just... So enchanting...
Yerin uploaded the song ‘I don't know’in SoundCloud when she during the JYP Jewelry Box in 2017, and the song was also removed from the SoundCloud when she released the album this year.

Yerin was the one who decided to not comeback since she got a lot of hate ... but later she started making songs on her own and later she made a soundcloud rock band called the volenteers and they're performing in a lot of festivals and stuff

For someone like me who always liked the more upbeat songs from the first listen of this album I fell in love with it!!! It instantly became one of my favourite albums of all time!
I actually haven't heard anything from Yerin Baek since 15&, but this album is pure bliss. I've never been this relaxed listening to a kpop album before. Definitely up there on my favourite albums this year!
I like how you found I Don’t Know so exciting! This song gave me major lo fi vibes because I listen to that genre often, but with a lot more exploration.

as others probably said, 야간비행 (the word you sounded at the beginning 😄) is [Over]night Flight, and you can absolutely imagine the glistening night scenery and ant-sized dots as cars below while you're on a plane. Such a fitting start to this amazing album - so glad you gave the whole thing a listen :)
It's a mellow sound I wish more people give a shot because I like so many airy or floaty vocals, but it isn't really in the realm of the high tension electronic music we get so often, which is fine but THIS!!! was just great.

Enjoyed almost all of most of the songs although I think I'm still more inclined to listen more often to the Volunteers songs she did with Bye bye badman. I think Sameul Seo just joined Magic Strawberry Sound. They have some interesting artists in addition to Cheeze,10 CM and Sunwoojunga I beleive Se So Neon was w/MSS as well.
