Early on with Bone I was just into the melodies and the way they flowed was so cool and original, but once I really started listening and could break down what they were actually saying, I realized this was the most talented rap group in history. They are underrated because their flow was so fast and most of the time it doesn't sound like they're saying real words, but once you get the lyrics and follow along like they're doing in this clip, you will see what I realized over 20 years ago, that they are one of the greatest ever.

From what I’ve heard, everything from Bone in this song was one take, and Big was in the studio when they laid it down and he already had his verse written. But he was so impressed, he had to go back home and rewrite his part. Supposedly, he died before he could get it to Bone himself. The first time Bone heard Biggie’s verse he was already dead. They were supposedly shocked because nobody had ever heard Biggie rap fast before. The story still gets me emotional to this day.

Bone is an incredible group with a number of classic tracks. Check out Days Of Our Lives, East 1999, and Everyday Thang from The Show soundtrack.

The Bone type of flows are one of the reasons HMack is impressive. He does the tone inflections and flow switches are something that are largely missing from a lot of artists. Bone pioneered the sound. Mack may not be modeling himself after them but it's something they have in common.

Ur speech at the end of video, let me just say.... We all felt that way when we heard this. This shit was So good, So different when it came out, even back when most rap was real. Glad to see youngsters have the same reaction I had in 98 when I heard this. Great reaction video bro!

I'm a 41 year old white dude. I've seen Bone thugz twice live. Mac Dre once live. And I'm a country boy. It's awesome seeing the new generation vibe to the platinum of our time.

Never forget, Bone laid their verses down first, Biggie took the record home to write his verse and switch his cadence to try to match Bone's delivery. Mad props to him for changing his style on this track. Bone the only ones to drop songs with Eazy E, 2PAC, BIGGIE, Big Pun while still living.

I am so excited to see you delve into 90s rap! 2pac & Biggie are definitely 2 different vibes.
Would you be open to check out Wu-Tang Clan? Mobb Deep? A Tribe Called Quest?
