Wow ☺️. I had one of these but left it in my shop in one of our rentals and they took it when they moved. I told them they that work shop was off limits. They didn’t care. Great machine.
Sorry to hear you lost one of these great machines. I have the green non electronic one and an older one that needs some refurb and only plan to keep the newer one most likely.
That same model was wildly popular in my parent's neighborhood in the 80's/90's when I was growing up. I was in elementary school but despite most houses having central vacs, Hoover Celebrity's, Dimensions and Kenmore Power-Mates were rampant in the neighborhood. By the mid 90's they were all replaced with either Miele canisters or Simplicty 5200 uprights that the local dealer pushed.
I especially want to get the Celebrity IV version with the older Powermatic that's brush roll is shared with the Convertible (and maybe even the Dial A Matic)
I have two of these. One is blue and white with that same Powermatic Quadraflex power head as this model and the other is tan and brown with the Quadraflex power head.
Very nice review video. I have the green non electronic one I got from another collector when downsizing/focusing his collection on Electrolux. I fitted a Henry bag too but didn't hot clue so I think I will do that too. Also want HepaFlo my Dimension 1000s. Thanks for posting this as I will service mine and lube the bearings.
Nice. For the motor filter I cut a Shop Vac foam sleeve filter in thirds so you get exactly 3 Celebrity filters from it. Then I layer some electrostatic sheet material under it. I have this and the green one.
Fun fact, very late production Celebrities use attachments just like a Dimension/Futura/modern Portapower (other than the upholstery tool, it stayed the same).
Great find. I like hoover products that were made when the hoover family owned the company. You should do a video on a hoover dial-a-matic. I picked a up a model 1118 at a goodwill for 5 bucks. I cleaned it up and replaced all of the worn parts and it runs like a top.
Thanks for sharing. I have this model in pristine condition. Love using it every so often, when I'm not using my central vacuum.

@@ryanhawkins1235 I say give that old machine some love and a new life. I see that you’re also into cars. Is this correct?

I really want to own one of theses. The Electronic PowerMatic is really cool.

May i just thank you for introducing me to these vintage vacuums 🙏🏼 mr vacuum man 👨🏻🦰
I can't wait to see the retrospective on this.
7:19 the camera froze, either for me or the camera actually froze
Yes, this is a big bummer!
I always thought these vacuum cleaners looked like a space ship. Definitely a cool design! As well, it looks well built!

I use the Swiffer dry cloths and cut them to size and hold it in place with two rubber bands
Original green brushes... very cool

A man of culture. I have a Dilematic that I will be doing a video on sometime in the distant future. 🔔
Nice machine!
Whats your thoughts on your GoPro
They're decent for what they are. But expect to pay a boatload in accessories because they come with nothing and require everything.
