- An old documentary of Anatol Ugorski from television. Years ago, when I lived in Berlin, I stumbled upon it by chance buried in an old VHS tape in the library, and I transferred it to my computer through slightly illicit, old-fashioned methods. I wanted to share this video because I learned that we lost Anatol Ugorski, one of the highly esteemed professors at the Detmold Music Academy. For his fans, family, students, and for everyone who may not know him but definitely should... Enjoy watching.
Eine alte Dokumentation von Anatol Ugorski aus dem Fernsehen. Vor Jahren, als ich in Berlin lebte, stieß ich zufällig in der Bibliothek auf eine alte VHS-Kassette und habe sie auf meinem Computer über leicht illegale, altmodische Methoden übertragen. Ich wollte dieses Video teilen, weil ich erfahren habe, dass wir Anatol Ugorski verloren haben, einen der hoch angesehenen Professoren an der Musikhochschule Detmold. Für seine Fans, Familie, Studenten und für jeden, der ihn vielleicht nicht kennt, es aber unbedingt sollte... Viel Spaß beim Anschauen.
Herzlichen Dank für diesen Upload. Ich hab mich sooooo gefreut da ich schon lange nach der Dokumentation fahndete, sie aber nicht mal über Zentralbibliotheken aufzufinden war. Obwohl sie den Bayrischen Filmpreis 1992 gewonnen hatte, Ich hatte sie als junge Frau im Fernsehn gesehn und im Laufe der Jahre so einige seiner Konzerte besucht.... mit die schönsten meines Lebens. Man musste ihn einfach lieben. Danke.
Wie schön das die Doku mit "Trios mouvements de petrouchka" von Stravinsky anfängt....R.I.P. Maestro Ugorski!

Oh Freude! Ich habe ihn noch in St.-Petersburg 70-80-ge Jahre gehört, meistens in kleinen Saalen. Ein wirklich einzigartiger Pianist. An Sonaten von Scarlatti erinnere ich mich ganz besonders

What do you think of her playing, compared to her father?
I've seen Dina only twice. 1st in a concert where she played Handel Suites and 2nd was a masterclass. I think she had something special.. I couldn't say much as a guitarist but as far as the music goes she was under great influence of her father and Sokolov which made Ugorski very very pissy : ) Lovely people.. may they rest in peace @@edwindepianist

Had him as my soloist in Madrid, Beethoven Emperor. Had a great concert with him and he was a very fine person.
I’ve never heard him with an orchestra but a lot of solo recitals in Detmold/Germany. Dear maestro, I wonder if you have a recording of that concert with the Beethoven’s Emperor? Not to share but just to listen.. greetings from Ankara. Cem

Omg. Welches Jahr ist es? Ich war 95 zum ersten Mal nach Berlin gekommen - es sah genau so aus! I glaublich das zu sehen. Das war bestimmt ex Ost- Berlin wo er wohnte? Wie nostalgisch..
Ich denke übrigens, dass es eigentlich schön wäre, den Film zu untertiteln. Ich könnte es ins Italienische übersetzen, obwohl eine englische Übertragung viel mehr Sinn machen würde. Falls du das auch sinnvoll findest, kontaktiere mich gerne.
Untertitel ist eine tolle Idee aber ich habe leider keine Ahnung wie es geht… 😊
