Hello engineering juice, I am a small RUclipsr as well and I found your video on reddit. Now, I know I am not your target audience, but I thought you would appreciate some feedback anyway. So, I know this is a tutorial, and I think that you did a great job with it. I'm no engineer but I know that if someone asked me to create this torsion simulation on this program, I would be able to do so. Again, I am not your target audience but if I were to make a suggestion that you could do to stand out or improve, perhaps could explain what this might be used for or maybe explain what it means. The first thing I, a layman, think of when I hear "torsion" is testicular torsion XD. Anyway, good video, easy to follow even for someone who doesn't know what this is. Keep up the good work!
I hit a brick wall at 6:20. Everything looks just like yours up to that point but when you hit solve, you can instantly do a simulation while MY 'ok' button is greyed out, under status , mine says "error repair" instead of "warning repair" like yours and at the bottom it says "No studies can be solved. There are no studies which can be solved" In my precheck next to the red x it says, "1 Loads on surface bodies detected and will be excluded from the solve. Please delete the loads or repair the surface bodies to make it into a solid"
I've seen this sort of thing the last time I tried to solve a simulation. One thing I can think of is... Do you have a material defined for the spring? All parameters must be fulfilled.
It's because you keep running though it so fast skipping steps along the way. I finally caught the step you skipped at 2:48 which was to switch from cut to join in the drop down menu.. Also when you pressed P, you went back and clicked the face one more time.

No matte how many times i try to follow the part where you extrude the ends, I just can'tt get it to work
