Love watching you ride because I can see where I would come in too hot and then lose time braking more than going faster. Consistency and pace is so key. Thanks Jesse. Wish I could get an Altitude, ready to make a change. Good luck in the race Bruddah
Your channel along with MGM Alt are quite the combo. Loving the coverage, you have previews and race runs and MGM has the wrap-ups and commentary! Good luck out there, looks gnarly!
So glad you posted that rock garden - I was hoping to take a closer look at that madness! I'll have to go hunt a video down to see what line you actually took o race day - Moir's POV was ridiculous!!!
To guarantee crispy gopro footage on youtube just follow these rules: highest resolution you can capture and high bitrate / source resolution on export from your editing program. Refer to this table from youtube on bitrate if you're curious about ballpark numbers, but I would use these as a minimum: support.google.com/youtube/answer/1722171?hl=en#zippy=%2Cbitrate (gopro uses 100MBps at 4K so somewhere between 60-80MBps bitrate will ensure good looking footage on youtube)
I luv the analysis of the rock garden. Great line in the practice conditions (except for the pedal strike). It's really good hearing your thoughts about possible changes in the trail as the race goes on. When you hit these types of features in a race run, do you commit to the planned line or adjust, with a little guest work based on the conditions?
That rock section line is good, if and only if, it stays dry. In wet that line may not work as well as it did in dry. Do you have wet line in mind too? You should EH! Goodluck EH!
The race won't be won or lost there, and both lines work. Your entry speed will determine the best fit, no sooner than the moment will you know what is right. Accept the moment and commit.
@@JesseMelamedMTB spelled right, probably just pronouced a bit differently with the accent 😉 Awesome riding by the way, very inspiring. Goodluck for the rest of the season!
Evertime i watching these RAW pre-racelaps of you i instantly wanna go riding😃🤘🏻🔥🔥
Have an awesome race👊🏼
That's awesome to hear! Thanks!
Looking super fast and smooth for a "wise old man" 😁. Have fun and do your thing! Looks like a really good winter ride on the shore
They are wicked trails here!
It's great seeing the riders helping each other and working out lines.

Super fresh to watch you decide your line, run back to your bike and rip it immediately. Inspiring

Yea it was gnarly!
That rock garden is insanely gnarly! Looks gnarlier than most dh stuff, you guys are crazy...
Pretty janky!
Great footage! thanks for posting. Love seeing the behind the scenes footage of how you practice.
Glad you enjoyed it! I don't stop often in practice so I was glad to have a chance to post a video like this.
Cool edit, trails look difficult at best… good luck with the race. Cheers
Thanks! They are mostly really fun.
Any chance you can share your go-pro settings? Footage looks crispy.

Loamy covered it pretty well below. The 9 is really good, and then 30fps to keep the stabilization smooth with 4k and high bitrate.
these are my fave type of vids
“Jesse is old and wise” 🤣🤣🤣🤣 no,no. Im old and wise, you are one hell of a rider! Crazy stuff…♥️♥️
haha thanks!
Holy shit!! Sam Hill speaks? I thought he only made hub sounds or something
6:14 WOW, clean ride over the rocks. 🤙
Thanks!
Dude do sic 🤘 your commitment in the rock garden

Thanks Dillon!
Stage 4 looks like so much fun to ride.
All of these stages are fun to ride!

When you hit these types of features in a race run, do you commit to the planned line or adjust, with a little guest work based on the conditions?
I changed this line because it got wet and did the safer line to the right instead of where I hit my pedal.
how "fast/effort" do you ride with in practice compared to when racing?
I try to go fast but not dangerous, race speed is just slightly faster and then knowing what's coming.
Jesse put a foam on the go pro mics wind sounds are very noticeable - but I guess its due that you are flying boooi!

Goodluck EH!
Yea I'll take the slightly more right line in the dry!
Sweet Baby J I love these videos. Stay weird Jesse!
haha awesome! Thanks!
That’s really good audio for a GoPro. Have you got a mic aswell in your helmet connected? Super smooth!
Nope! Just keep it under the visor without the wind mode on.
Have fun in the race buddy 🤘
Thanks!
Keep the rubber down and get it!
I will!
👍🤟
The "qu'est-ce que tu penses" to Isabeau was so fucking cute
She was an old teammate of mine and helped me learn the limited french that I know!
Now could you have stopped walked back up and did the rocks again or is it a one time shot do to rules ? Thanks
No you can hike sections if you want, so I could have done it again.
@@JesseMelamedMTB Cool I wasn't sure if you could. I Thank you for the reply and best of luck in the race to you and the RM team

That's basically it!
Come on Jesse it’s nothing compared to the shore on a super wet day
This is a joke this looks gnarly af
haha the shore is good practice!
What are those hand guards you're using these days?
SendHit nock guards
Awesome thanks Jesse. Hand guards still seem to be hard to come by. Good luck with the races this week
I’m confused… were you on the gas or on the maple syrup?
both!
„old and wise“ 🤣 I am 45 and not even old and wise 😉
ahah
"Qu'est ce que tu penses? hey difficile !. joli français @jesse
Merci!
full gas !!

Fuckin insane you are such a pro rider. I can't believe you can do that try on a rock section so easy to you.
Thank you!

un petit peu. I'm sure that's spelled wrong, which goes to show that I only know a little. and definitely don't know how to write french.

Too many choices and non of them nice looking. I like the way you ride through at speed with all the people on the track.
