Your case although many years old was put to its test recently and thank god I had one as nothing else would have had a chance of saving my guitar case. 6 foot throw over a fence and landed on the very corner of a brick wall on the weakest part and although the guitar had minor damage I didn't even notice it for a while as it was so minor. I couldnt imagine any guitar case doing better. Also when I needed had keys you sent me 3 for free. Thank you guys x
Been using your cases since the early '90s. All still as good as new. I wouldn't throw money away on anyone elses' cases... ... and my friends are getting bored with me standing on my encased Gretsch hollowbody!
Superb cases. My Hiscox alto Saxophone case was dropped down a steel two storey fire escape. Apart from a few scuffs the case was fine and the Saxophone completely unscathed. All my horns now have Hiscox cases.
Just received my pro 2, case for bass guitar, absolutely fantastic, nice and light too. Oozes quality craftsmanship, very very pleased. It is ivory coloured, looks truly great. Hiscox are brilliant... I'm converted....
Awesome stuff, I appreciate the mentality behind it and I will be buying a Hiscox case next week :). So glad I done my research and came across this video. Thank you Hiscox!
Great to see a director marketing his product and have to agree, we brought a Gator case and it fell to bits on opening the package, for reasons demonstrated by Brynn, it was sent straight back. We need guitar and sax cases so will be in touch Brynn. BAM is another alternative but not sure they are as strong as these. Being from the Midlands, all too happy to help fellow countrymen and their business.
OK, I'm convinced! That was a very thorough and understandable explanation. Now I just need to calculate the most affordable source for getting one shipped to the US.
Would just like to say thanks to Brynn Hiscox and the people at Hiscox Cases Ltd, for making an amazing product to protect valued instruments. Which is even more important these days, for example, because stricter airport security and baggage control may often mean having to put your loved instrument in the Checked Baggage Hold. Something any musician would feel distraught at- "Will my instrument make it?." A Hiscox case is the only case I would use in that situation. Thank you.
Brynn, I saw a link to this vid on Steve Kirtley's 'Vintage Instrument Cases' Facebook site. I have to say, your vid here is impressive on all levels, and your honesty is coming right through! Living in NorthAmerica, I'm sorry I have never seen one of your cases, but I know a few folks who have them. I sure wish you had been able to set up a NorthAmerican plant way back in the day. You could have changed history over here too!
I've seen a number of your cases in my shop, and agree with your message, they are good value for the money, and very strong! Hope to get more of your cases in my studio!
I bought a Gernot Wagner classical guitar in 1999 that came with a Hiscox case. Guitar was only used at home, but the case wasn't good. First, the spring in one of the latches broke, but I could still latch it. Then the lining fabric came loose from the lid and the hatch compartment. I bought a Vigier electric guitar in 2017 that came with a Hiscox case that seemed to be improved. I decided to buy another case for the Wagner and got another Hiscox case thinking I don't want to spend a great deal for a case, and the quality problems might have been resolved. I'll see how well this one holds up. If it falls apart like the other one, then you have lost a customer.
Getting one of these for my 1957 Martin d-28. I rarely go anywhere with this guitar but the original case from 57 is very broken down and I figure even if it rarely goes anywhere this guitar deserves a special case.
Last week the handle of my Hiscox case suddenly broke. Hiscox doesn't provide a price for this part and other suppliers suggest a price from 25 to 35 EUR but I found the exact same for 3,37 EUR incl. shipping and taxes.
I was going to sell mine because of limited storage in my bedsit but now I've seen this video I'm having second thoughts.😲 they should make cars, boats, and planes, out of this stuff as well as giutars good imfomative video. Cheers.☺
Wonderful cases. I bought my first one to protect my 61 SG, partly for shock-protection but mainly due to temperature control as it has no checking. I bought my second Artist-grade for a precious Dreadnought... it fits like a glove and would probably stand a nuclear-strike. Both cases are very light and of the highest quality. I have no reason why PRS don't use Hiscox cases... they'd save a fortune in shipping costs when it comes to weight.
In the video at about 11.25 I understand that bubble rich foam absorbs shock. However if you drop you case with the guitar inside, the guitar's fall still stops too quickly. You need some soft padding to break deceleration. The polyfoam is actually quit hard. Your instrument would hit that hard foam at speed, if the case was dropped. ... I mean obviously there is a level of protection on the Standard case, but it would still worry me.
You would think that was true but I'm pretty sure that I learned differently when I worked at a bicycle shop and had to learn about bike helmets which are all hard foam.
I just purchased a used Hiscox for a Les Paul - making its way now to me in Canada. I had no knowledge of these cases and considerable quality of the design and build. I enjoyed this video - perhaps I need a bit more stimulation in my life at middle-age. Nonetheless, the way my band mates load gear into my mini-van after a gig, I have less concerns about a mishap.
Interesting video. I've always liked Hiscox cases, solid build quality, and you always know your Guitar is safe when it's in a Hiscox. Out of interest, is it possible to get the Pro II or Artist versions made for a Fender Stratocaster?
You make great cases, Brynn, no doubt about it for guitars (which i don't play), and also for saxophones - but only for alto and tenor sax. Now will you please turn your mind to producing a case for BARITONE SAXOPHONE ???
I have a question; I bought a Hiscox Lite-Filte Pro II Hard Case in Melbourne 3 years ago for 300 AU $. The quality is excellent and i even tried to imitate what you did by asking some of my friends to stand at the top of it for three times just to prove if you're right (i'm sorry for that, just for curiosity), well indeed it really stand the weights of my 5 friends and never even deformed the Hard Case and never damaged my my old guitar (i put my old cheap guitar that i'm not using anymore when i did it), however when i look at the detail of the guitar case there is only one thing missing, there is no Hiscox logo at the side of the guitar case but there's a Hiscox logo embossed at the lower side of the plastic handle, It also has a 3 Cheney UK/England Hinges, It also has a 2 inches aluminum backing on the inside. (i forcibly opened a tiny portion to check if really there's a 2" aluminum backing on the inside and indeed there is). All i can say is this Guitar Case is in Excellent Quality, all that you mentioned and the details are the same with my guitar case but only the aluminum logo that supposed to attached at the side is missing. I'm really satisfied with this guitar case but for curiosity i just only want to know if this is imitation or original.....hoping for your response..........Thanks Indeed........Ibarra
I owned one of those, it is by far the very best for the money! Extremely well made, excellent materials. Comparable with the very best cases, some 800 euros more expensive. Just, I wish it had a better design, inside and outside...
Getting one of your sturdy cases for my new Yairi DYM60HDE. The Alvarez case it came with, while decent. is not nearly as durable as yours. You should work out a deal with Yairi (and/or) Alvarez to upgrade their top end product cases.
British class!.....British quality! Been using, trusting and loving Hiscox cases for many years. They are literally bomb proof and control humidity better than any other case out there. Amazing you can get these for the price they sell them at compared to other brands out there. UP THE BLIGHTY!
I have sent two emails in the last 6 weeks to Hiscox attempting to find out where I can buy a case for my LP custom in Hong Kong or Shanghai, but have yet to get a reply. I already own 6 Hiscox cases, but usually buy them in London, when home. Can someone at Hiscox please give a loyal customer an answer to a simple question?!
This cases are amazing. Practically indestructible. The odd part is the latches, they are total garbage, they come unlatched way to easily. My cat opens them. Every time i do a fly-in gig and i collect my guitar from over-sized luggage at least one latch is open. I have to carry a roll of duct tape with me and tape the latches shut. The best analogy i could come up with is these cases are like FORT KNOX with a hardware store hook and eye gate latch on the front door
One of the latches on my 1999 Hiscox classical guitar case had the spring on a latch break, then the lining on the lid and the compartment came loose. I just ordered another one and I'm hoping these quality issues have been resolved.
I bought one and it deformed on the side, broke 2 locks and lost its felt at the strap button. Will not buy again. Rather spend the extra cash on tailor made case.

I have owned one for 15 years now. Great!

Does anyone know what LA-WAS is referring to as regard their Sax cases?
I didn't see any banjo cases on your website. Do you make cases for resonator banjos?

@HiscoxCases That sounds great. How do I go about ordering one? Am I best to just contact any Hiscox reseller/stockist? Thanks, Andrew.

Thank you sir.. I will have a hard case for my special Fender Strat
Which model is the hiscox in this video ? is it a hiscox pro II ?
It's the standard acoustic case.

Thanks. I will get one for my 47 year old Yamaha FG 140, to fly with it. Cheers, Robin Rowley
Wow that’s awesome! I’m definitely ordering one. I need my mayones to be safe :D
Great! I am going to buy one
is this kind of case, safe for a long flight? a friend of mine is going to send me a Gibson Les paul to Mexico...
That's it. Now I'm getting one.
1. Add 2 backpack straps for guitar / violin cases (just like your cello cases)
2. Add more padding
Otherwise: great cases.
I see Peter Goalby! Awesome!
wow amazing

Get rid of the cat.

Got a case for my prs se 245 it DID NOT fit yet you claim it would fit prs single cut guitars. Don't make claims in your adverts that ain't true
