Donk previously said that there is a hierarchy in Spirit: coach #1 then an IGL then sniper and only then everyone else. Although it's hard to imagine that they are not trying to make donk happy. I guess, the truth is somewhere in the middle
Re: apEX not Top 3 IGL 1. He is an amazing leader. Man managing and motivating, keeping people in the right mindset, etc. He's top. Not the best, but top. 2. He is a great tactician. Adapting to the game/match, outhinking the other team, etc. 3. He is a decent strategist. I don't see him as being one of the best at pre-game prep and coming up with strategies ahead of time. 4. He is an occasionally inconsistent shooter. He has rare outbursts of frags, while sometimes is absolutely atrocious, but his average level would've been around or outside of top 10 if he had an average team. It's currently higher. Based on the first three points, he's easily top 3. Doesn't even need to be an amazing shooter. His shooting is roughly average among IGLs, but there's so much more to judge a player on. Without him, Vitality would be very different and either weaker or a lot more inconsistent. Probably both.
Kassad had a point about Spirit but I am not sure what was that Zont1x hate. He was not great on t-sides but he was still one of the best anchors in 2025. Now that Spirit has more playmakers (tn1r) Zont1x' value raises quite a bit as he is gonna be that fourth best player ct-side rock kind of player with occasional games where he finds big impact on t-sides as well. Really key is activating tn1r and also for sh1ro to stop goin mia in big playoffs.
I think it’s been over for simple ever since cs2 came out, was just watching some of his stream moments from like 2019. The difference is still insane between how he looked there vs cs2. Movement on cs2 just looks extremely bad compared to go when you see his highlights it’s sad 😢 he even talked about playing all day every day before tournaments in 2018 now you have him playing dota 2 before tournaments. Kassad's Spirit take is not bad actually. Improving firepower but removing your IGL for not an IGL generally has not worked in CS history. Chopper was not great but he is at least an experienced tier 1 IGL who called multiple different lineups to success. To expect Magixx to instantly be a tier 1 IGL seems hopeful at best. Realistically, Spirit are going to look even more clueless than under Chopper and Donk will crash out every other game. Donk should go international anyway, sooner or later. We all know it, he knows it, everyone knows it

With Vega Squadron he made Katowice 2019 major, London, Boston, Krakow. So 7 majors without Donk, not 1. And most of those lineups he called that far were terrible.
I mean hally has said it before that he and shiro pretty much exclusively make the gameplan and the igl just calls it its still the same system so i only expect to get slightly worse at most

Another failed 6 months would mean another 6 months of no trophies for the most skilled player in the world. How long will Donk put up with this shit? Without Donk they will be borderline top10 team and vvery event without a trophy will move Donk closer to the exit door. Clock is ticking.

Ehhh niko was/is still great in CS2. When 2024 G2 he was still amazing. Falcons just has just not gotten this lineup to work yet
