    4:24 I noticed to play fast here you sort of flipped the angle of your hand/the pick. I think Troy Grady called it “reverse dart throw”? Is this sort of required for faster down pick riffing like this?
    Oh and another thing I’m trying to work out, when riffing on the bottom two strings, and even doing those massive bends and squeals Mick and Jim do, do you mute with your fretting hand pinky etc, or just play it as cleanly as possible not worry about actively muting the higher strings so much? (The reason I ask is that I can never see how people mute in these scenarios.)

    i only use 2 finger power chords for REALLY fast riffs that require power chords on 5th string (i play drop tuning, so 6th string is just a barre). otherwise, i always use 3. even for most fast riffs. there are occasions where a riff is really fast or complicated, which just makes 2 easier

      I saw him Live at The Myrtle Beach HOB front row He played for about 2 hours during Toy Shop intermission he gave me a Robot Toy and let me jam on his killswitch during one of his solo breaks couldn’t see his eyes theu the mesh but he knew I was a lifelong fan one of the best shows I ever went to and masterclass of guitar playing and limitless inspiration 🎸
