    Thank you. I've been using the assignable output as a sample and hold but I like how your sequence sounded when the triangle was controlling your filter cutoff frequency. Awesome!!

    If you are wondering like I was, you exit SETUP MODE by holding (SHIFT) and pressing the (KB) or (STEP) button

    Assign makes loads of interesting changes. I've spent all of the last two days with Assign to Mult, Mult out to various ins and also to 2nd Mother 32 Tempo. Then 2nd Mother 32 Assign out to it's own Mult and various patches from there. Total adventure.

    I'd like to sync the m32 to a teenage engineering po-12(pocket operator) , I don't care which is the slave device, although I have other midi & cv/gate gear that can be put in the chain also, so I'm not sure which should last in the chain. I'm sure it's a simple

    You referred to some of the various MIDI "CCs" as "CC MIDI channel". Isn't a "CC" a control change- not a channel?

    Hi, thanks for the tutorial!
    Where can I patch the assignable output with midi velocity information, in order to play velocity sensible notes using Ableton live's piano roll.

    • @MoogSynthesizers

      Some common destinations for MIDI velocity are filter cutoff (VCF CUTOFF) and VCF CV. This setting is selected from the Setup Mode (see p.49 of the manual)

    I’m connecting my akai mini plus to the midi in on the left.
    I have no velocity on my keys. Should I set something like the setting 10? But I don’t need it on the assign output but just via my midi in front of akai mini plus to mother 32
    Thanks

      Mother-32 doesn't respond to velocity by default, it needs to be patched in via the assignable output.

    Great tutorial, thanks! How is using the assignable out to animate VCF cutoff different from using an LFO?

    • @MoogSynthesizers
      @MoogSynthesizers 6 лет назад +3

      The stepped wave outputs from the Assignable output on Mother-32 are based on sequencer length. The variations are output per-step, whereas the analog LFO runs freely and continuously.

      @@MoogSynthesizers Hey, I would like to assignable output in Sequencer Step Random (n.8), so i should patch assign - Vcf cut off. The fact is that I also have a dfam, and I want Moher 32 be my master, so I normally patch M32 Assign out to Adv/Clock in Dfam. How can I use Sequencer Step Random and let M32 be the master? Maybe the answer is easy, but I cannot figure out how to do it. Best

      Also, this leaves your LFO free to do other things at a different speed
