Those Hogan Redline irons have a loyal following, one of the best irons Hogan made, and probably the most forgiving and best blade iron that was made by the Hogan Company before it was taken over by various companies. Edit: Also, I borrowed these irons which just came out that year, from my friend because my whole bag of clubs were stolen just before the Costa Mesa City Championship, which is one of the bigger City Championships in So. Cal and it’s winners include major championship winners Scott Simpson, Mark O’Meara. Anyways the irons felt like no other club I ever hit, so soft and felt like a game improvement iron compared to the MacGregor M85 irons that I played for my last year for my College Golf team. Shot 3 over for the 2 round tournament which was no where near the winner, but it wasn’t because of the irons.
Ran into you guys leaving that PGA Superstore yesterday!! Had so much to say but didn't want to hold you guys up lol I really appreciate you guys and your energy :> made my day seeing you both in person. I've been watching you since I started playing golf 3 years ago!
Love the video. I wish I had something as joyful in my life. Back when my spine worked properly and I could play, I became a hoarder of golf clubs and electric guitars from EBay. I had putters leaning on the chair rail in my dining room, all 3 walls. Sets of clubs in the garage. Guest bedroom was filled with Gibson and Fender guitars. One day, I came to my senses (wife strongly encouraged) and sold off almost everything. With the exception of one guitar, I don’t miss any of it. Jon is a professional curator of golf equipment. I was just a guy with too much stuff.
Just getting into golfing and really enjoying all of your content. I would really like to see a budget/old but gold kind of video of a few clubs in each category to watch for that are on the cheap side and still solid for beginners!
I live 2 minutes from that store. My friend, Tom, works there and is a PGA professional. In that plaza there is a French restaurant and an Italian. Casual dining with great food and inexpensive. Go to Edwin Watts Golf, 1 minute from there. Many more used clubs than PGA Superstore
Always enjoy your video's . Congrats on the 200+ ...So neat seeing you both excited about finding different clubs . But , to see Jon so excited about 30+ year old clubs was wonderful . I learned Golf from my Dad . He had a set of Wilson Sam Snead 1-4 woods and 2-PW that he bought in the early 1950's . He was a really good player , but I didn't do very good , but loved the game . Keep up the great video's .
Gosh, great find! I have 3 sets of Hogan irons, but know much about the vintage. The blade set is from the 70's, the Edge set is from the mid 80's and then I have a set made in aprox 98. I have a really old Hogan 1 iron, I could probably putt with it better than I could hit it at 67 years old. I love to send you pics. So I have a better idea of what I have.
Nice Hogan set and you killed the 1 &2 irons. Also never heard Murray Head (One Night in Bangkok) being played at PGA Superstore - also looking good with just the eyeballs!!!!!
Woohoo! 200K! Proud to be a Stacked Golf Weirdo! I thought the last shot with the Hogan 1 iron went UNDER the screen.... Ashley always gets the "like" button from me. Jon's smile looks bigger without the glasses - nice. Love the channel.
200K Baby!!!! Congratulations! Sorry for the delay, I was on vacation for a bit. I still remember the day I subscribed, around 54K I think. It's been a wild ride ever since. The bad customers on the Flea Market episodes are some of my favourite. Also the guy who was future old man Jon, with the Hogans & Adams sets. Don't forget the lady who wanted you both arrested! haha... what a time it's been!
A golfer with a perfect swing can hit any club from any year and make it look easy. I myself might have hit a worm burner. Nice find. I enjoyed the show as always. 200,000 and counting that's great.
i had, used a Redline set until a 5 years ago, when my old age and poor ball striking made them replaceable. Gave them to the St Andrews (Scotland) Academy after my cousin over there said no one would want them. The Academy pros were thrilled to have ‘em. best sole interaction ever
Those hogans were such a great find. I found a set of apex ftx irons 4-e for 60 and they are currently in my bag. Love the feel of most carbon steel hogan irons. And your absolutely right most hogan irons are so soft that you have to be very mindful with them. If you bag any set of hogans that are soft I highly recommend iron covers
The grin on your face Jon, is infectious, I found myself smiling with you. The expression "kid in a candy store" applies perfectly! Congrats on the 200k!! This dork enjoys your energy, keep it up!!
Congrats on getting over 200K subscribers. Your videos are great and love all the different clubs you find. Always look forward to seeing your new videos and where you go. Keep up the great work and hope you keep finding unique clubs to show everyone that watches your videos.
I played the Hogan redlines (Apex 88's) in high school, then played the Apex Plus in the late '90s and early '00s. I wish I knew what I had back then. I miss them both so much. Congrats to you both on 200K viewers!
Congrats on over 200,000 subs. Love seeing what you two are finding next. Hogan’s irons are great and underrated. Got an old set of Hogan Vector lites I love playing once in awhile.
I am so jealous of you right now. My favorite clubs that I have ever had and I want to find again was the 1999 Ben Hogan Apex Blades. That was the best golf I ever played in my life.. i played them till the grooves were literally gone completely....What I would do for another set ... Great find and as always you guys never fail to entertain us. Keep the great videos coming.
Those Hogan's are nice. Similar in looks to my '81 Swilken blades, 3 - SW. They are very nice to hit. A little bonus is on the back of the heads is "St Andrews Blades" in fancy script. Like your Hogans the condition is very good. They buy them, cannot hit them, and they sleep in the cupboard for 40 years.
My wife and I stop at that same store pretty frequently, same as you on our way to Universal. Finding a good deal there other than clothing is a tough one, but I have snagged a fair amount of shirts and hats in clearance.
Funny story: I found a Hogan edge 3 iron at work one day last year while i was cutting grass in a field next to my job. Have no idea how it got there, took it straight home and put in my vintage club collection.
You should get them bead blasted, it takes away no material. Nail salons can paint fill for a few bucks. They will look brand new. Just bead blast the back though avoid the face, or tape the groove slot.
I use titleist pro tour blades from the early 90s late 80s you do have to swing hard on the smaller irons and have perfect contact but it teaches you to trust your swing
Bizarre. Was talking to a guy about irons today & was thinking how Hogan had such a high standard for his forged irons. Remembered seeing a beautiful set of blades in a young player's player bag & wondered what was out there for minty blade Hogans. $49 for the full set is a wow!
So glad you guys hqve grown a community. No one deserves it more. Truly just two beautiful people sharing the hobby.
Thanks Brody!

You guys deserve the 200k. You are wholesome, funny and self-less with both of your channels! Keep it up

Hey, I was in the store a couple of hours after you guys left. Glad you found your grails! Ashley hit in the bay again, which was great to see.
The knowledge you guys have for clubs is by far on another level.
I played the Hogan redlines (Apex 88's) in high school, then played the Apex Plus in the late '90s and early '00s. I wish I knew what I had back then. I miss them both so much. Congrats to you both on 200K viewers!

Great find!
Congratulations, not surprised that you are growing big! Good content and variety. Makes enjoyable watching.
My wife and I stop at that same store pretty frequently, same as you on our way to Universal. Finding a good deal there other than clothing is a tough one, but I have snagged a fair amount of shirts and hats in clearance.
Beautiful clubs, and good job Ashley
Great content as always. I was looking back to see if I missed a Scotty Cameron collection video. Is that still a series?
Lovely set !! ☺
Learning something new every video. Keep it up and let’s get to 300k.
Many congratulations on the 200k subs - well deserved for consistently watchable content.
Funny story: I found a Hogan edge 3 iron at work one day last year while i was cutting grass in a field next to my job. Have no idea how it got there, took it straight home and put in my vintage club collection.
congrats on 200k+ subs!
Congratulations on 200k so glad y’all are back every couple of days.
At one point when you were testing the Hogan irons you got all excited and looked just like your dad.😊
You should get them bead blasted, it takes away no material. Nail salons can paint fill for a few bucks. They will look brand new. Just bead blast the back though avoid the face, or tape the groove slot.
It will make them look satin ish. You can also buff and polish them if you want them to look new new
Congrats on the 200k. That is an amazing milestone. Here is to many, many more!
Great fun as always ❤
Keep up the good work 🎉
Congrats on 200k! Great job and many thanks to you both.
Those Hogan Redlines were calling Jon's name, and he quickly fell into a love trance. ; )
Great to see someone else likes the old clubs. I still use some of my Nicklaus by Macgregor.
congrats on 200k!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Glad to see you channel grow. Keeps me going during the day hahaha
Congrats on 200k. Here's to 200k more
Thanks David!
Really enjoy y'all's videos!
I use titleist pro tour blades from the early 90s late 80s you do have to swing hard on the smaller irons and have perfect contact but it teaches you to trust your swing
The "what" meme caught me off guard and I loved it haha
Congratulations on 200k!! Long time fan, can't wait to bump into you guys one day
I’m so happy for you both hitting 200k subscribers , I still hope you can beat Rick to 3 million

Curious as to the current pricing on the Ping G400 woods in your area. The G400s seem to hold their value more than the G410s.
Hi guys congratulations 🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤on your mile stone
Thank you!!
