what in the world is 5,000 going to do??? yet we can give billions to another country????
Thanks for telling Minden’s story.
Prayers from Bethel Springs Tennessee.
You dumbbell in your face and Bible I think it's kind of late for prayers why don't you people pray before not after you always want to pray after it is a catastrophe never before
Send money
Devastating scene.
Good reporting. Thanx.
Good job, Brandi.
Good job Brandi.....🎉
I have to hand it to our news stations and weather service, they had it down to the minutes for each area the tornadoes were headed for.
Nice job Brandi....from NYC
That is my home Minden Iowa I don't live there now but I whish i was there to help out
Why don't people start asking (what caused) 80 tornadoes of such magnitude???? Instead of asking how are they're spirits? What a stupid question.
Because tornado outbreaks aren't anything unheard of, there was 360 in 3 days in 2011. With much stronger tornadoes than this one too.
She should be afraid of live wires on the ground .
Makes me sick Thinking about it
The affirmative Action hires at FOX Weather need more education and better speaking skills.
I feel like I'm watching High School Cable Access TV. Good Luck!
There was a lady in Minden who lost her husband and house
Who?
That broken tree was amazing, along with the house moved off it's foundation...wow
Brandy is a great reporter
Up to $5k dollars? TF?!? That’s even enough to repair a roof.
more than Hawaiians got
Seriously, they send billions to who knows where but these poor people get a measly $5000?!? Ridiculous!
The 5 thousand is probably living expenses until they find other housing or repair/rebuild. Hopefully many of these folks were insured.
That's a 1 bay garage roof maybe!
Gotta keep those GOP billionaires happy
All money goes to wars not to people of this country in need
How can you say that? What do you know?
It just happened?
Understand where you live. Understand what america stands for.
Do you homework. Money is for the working class, the middle class. Are you? Or are you high paid Republicans.. if so.. please give YOUR MONEY. Let you do that. Lol. Jokes.
@@michelletorres9502 Imagine what 100 billion dollars could do for the residents of that community as well as other surrounding towns leveled from these storms. But nope, that 100 billion is gone, sent to others that couldn't care less about these people.
@michelletorres9502 You're joking right? hundreds of billions of dollars, not millions, but billions have gone to the Ukraine and yet when these disasters like this happen, these people get pennies on the dollar....case in point. Look at Maui over in Hawaii. They got $700 from the government. And that's it. Their houses and businesses burned to the ground and they got $700, so maybe you ought to do your homework before you make a stupid comment.
@@VladimirBlarpHer phrase high-paid Republicans tells me all I need to know as she doesn't realize we're all middle class working people. But she's bringing her politics into a storm where people lost every single thing they have.
@tiffanycollins296 and guess what... bidin still has reserves... we can help... it's the right thing and the american thing to do.
Don't worry...
Bidin will help these people, too.
However ... Trump wouldn't..
My childhood home is in the background. No words seeing my community, my childhood memories, shredded to pieces. Grateful for the surrounding communities and everything they've done to help since Friday!
Prayers from Texas
Yes gazan are praying for!!!!!
Gaza are praying for you!!!
Jesus, please help the victims of these storms. In Your Holy Name. Amen
No Iowan’s nor Nebraskan’s lost their lives on Friday. This was an act of Divine intervention. God bless the people of this beautiful small Iowa town that I used to ride through occasionally.
People worked to help save the lives of these residents maybe 50-200
Prayer's to all who were affected by these devastating storms🙏🏻😌 Stay safe and strong.
$5,000?? And we’re giving Ukraine $60,000,000,000? Wonder what $60 billion would do for Elkhorn, Nebraska, Blair, Nebraska, Minden, Iowa and Sulphur, Oklahoma????
Certainly this is a life changing event. Please don’t give up hope. May blessings fall upon all those affected.
Awsome reporting brandi😊
What can you do with $5,000 in your house just move two blocks
It's not for the house, it's for expenses while waiting for insurance to process.
The $5,000 grant is most likely for food, clothing, hygiene, medications, maybe eyeglasses or hearing aids, etc. Possibly infant care.
It's money for immediate human needs.
Not the house.
Praying these families can get back on track & find housing.

That's a great right wing answer to climate change...I'm not a Democrat but each year the storms get worse and worse and shifts more and more...we had a hail storm in Eastern Iowa in February and 80s in December. Insurance companies are fleeing iowa...God must have a sick sense of humor to kill us slowly or the earth is pushing back from are unappreciated behavior towards her.
We told them to get off Our Land, Goofy!
Prayers from Florida! We know devastation firsthand. 🙏🏾 😔 🌪
That is praying from gaza is reaching you God will ameen
Buffalo revenge.
The house moved off it's foundation reminded me of the movie, the Wizard of Oz, Dorothy's house blown off. I can't imagine how the people who home's were wiped out, can sleep at night. I would imagine the children for those who were parents and were down in the basement, in the safest corner possible, the nightmares the children will have for years to come! Even for some of the adults losing their homes. So glad that down the road, these horrible things will not continue forever! And am glad to say in here at least, no ONE GOT KILLED. Injured yes, but not dead!
It was driving me crazy that there was what looked like a piece of siding impaled into that tree trunk and she wasn't even acknowleging it. Thankfully the guy mentioned it twice before she turned around to see it. I would have liked to have had the camera person get a closer shot because that would have been the most dramatic point of the story. BTW, there's no such thing a "pan down".
$5,000 vs. recent foreign aid of over $96 billion dollars by the U.S. government? Just even 1 billion would greatly makes a big difference.
It was the broken tree that brought the realization of the power from this storm 😮
It's an amount they don't have, right now.... In a situation of starting from scratch or close to it, any little help is grateful...... just saying! ...Stop, and think, it's nobody's fault, so give them positivity and hope for a silver lining! Being in this dilemma is hurtful and no money can replace what they had although moral support and volunteering might help in the process to make their lives settle a little faster...According to this spokesperson, no lives were lost. Let's hope and pray the hurt folk will heal and can tell their own stories of the event through their eyes, soon,.
Since 1970 how many Black Men felt comfortable in your state i see the co conspirators reporting the judgement destruction of Homes Black Men were never meant to have glad no fatalities
Omg I live in Iowa and I remember the sirens were going off and we were in the tornado warning but I was the only one out of my six family members taking cover in the kitchen ( our safe spot) my parents said we’re fine and of corse my dad was sitting next to the window and the tornado was in our path. I remember we had to take cover at school earlier that day in the morning too because the sirens were going off and I was so scared and worried about my family. Not much damage happened where I lived but we just drove 2 minutes away and that city was destroyed
This storm was scary to see live on Ryan Hall Ya’lls live stream. Luckily my uncle in Omaha and grandma in Harlan are both safe. Homes can be repaired but you can never replace loved ones. ❤
GODS WRATH
Jesus was a non-English speaking, dark-skinned, homeless immigrant. Guess who his father was? Just saying.
grants up to 5k for a loss of house like 280k. Those politicians should be giving less to coal, pharma and chemical and the kkk and provide more funds and energy to making sure people can survive.
How about none for Ukraine and illegals
How about none for all WARS!!!
@@AndSaveAsManyAsYouCan Agreed, but that is Americans main economy, weapons.
@@helenpauls1496 And sadly citizens put their $ into the weapons producer stocks, profiting on... very bad things.
5 grand ? It'll cost more than that just to remove the debris
Thank God there were no fatalities!! Absolutely miraculous!
Even with the $5,000 grant, I hope and pray these people have adeqluate property insurance.
my family lives right behind where they broadcasted this - we had our trees taken out two years ago - thankful for it a well as their place took minimal damage but it could’ve been worse with those trees there
Great reporting! What a terrible event, amazed but relieved that there weren't more injuries, prayers to all effected.
Makes you wonder, IS God speaking?
Take a good look ... what bad karma
This is mother nature's way of reminding us that possessions are insignificant and can be destroyed in seconds!!
I told y'all don't play with me, we ain't done I'm God's sword feel my God's weapon
$5,000 is barely enough to move somewhere else.
This reminds me of the doomsday machine cyclone of star trek episode
Gaza praying for is reaching you more to come yet god will ameen
I'm glad I'm still alive in iowa
Had my 4 big trees cut down three years ago, [it wiped out my savings though] but got peace of mind when hurricanes /big storms gonna hit my area...prayers y'all
Has our president spoke out about this yet?
Where was Trump and his Sharpie?
I'm impressed with how well-rooted those huge trees are to withstand a tornado by shedding all their foliage and minor branches. Only rarely do they tip over, break off, or lose their bark. It's like they evolved to coexist with these storms.
Many better reporters out there
The usual suspects
Prayers up
Look at the ladder
Sure be nice that Ukraine money stayed in the US to help these people out
My God that is so horrible! My Prayers go out to ya'll
So sad!

This town got hit hard in the 70s
June 26, 1976. I grew up near Minden, I was 11 at the time, it was a Saturday night, and I remember my Mom and I hopping into our car and driving towards town to check on my grandmother. We were stopped by National Guardsmen on a hilltop to the south of town that overlooked Minden, and we were told we couldn't go any further. Seeing the damage from yesterday's storm reminded me of that day all over again.

The house that moved intact barely even lost any siding.

What you should have done is gotten an eduation so your grammar and punctuation would be on par with the majority of others. Second, i find it no surprise that a republican would be wishing horrible things against their fellow Americans. And third, I'm sure they would much rather be helped by "Buddy Joe" than "Rapist Trump".
YAYYYYUS. Doing a happy dance here in Arkansas cuz we didnt get hit
That does not look natural. Directed Energy Weapons?
I didn't t 3:24 think directed energy weapons could generate tornados, that DE Weapon that's at the south pole did cause the earthquakes in Christchurch New Zealand in 2011-2012 i think one of those was the right year, but for sure DEW will generate earthquakes
